A/N: I am so very, very sorry for not updating in months. I was actually stuck on how I should go about this chapter and I got caught up with more fandoms and I made tons of other stories and I forgot about this story. But luckily, I had some help from a friend and I finally figured out how to go about in this chapter. Since many people preferred the Jazmine's POV over the Third Person POV, I will continue the story in her POV. I hope you guys enjoy this update.

Ardeth and I managed to fight our way through the crowd of mummies and made our way back to the treasure room. I had lost my gun while Ardeth pulled me away from the mummies, leaving us defenseless. "So, how the hell are we supposed to fight a god damn mummy with no weapons?" I asked him as I stared at the mummies as they slowly gathered around us. "Unwrap them?" I joked lightly. I glanced at Ardeth and I noticed a serious look in his eye. Maybe it was the wrong time to try to make light of the situation.

"We just need to find a weapon that's sharp enough to destroy them," he said as he glanced around. I did the same, but the only weapons I found were behind the mummies and getting passed them weaponless would end badly.

"The only weapons are behind them, so how else are we supposed to-" I was cut off when one of the mummies used their wrapping and got a hold of my ankle and pulled me to the ground. I felt myself being pulled towards the horde of mummies and I found myself screaming Ardeth's name as loud as possible.

The sand on the floor was going into places it shouldn't and getting stuck in my hair. When I thought I was done for, I watched as a sharp axe came down on the wrapping, setting me free from the mummy's grip. I felt a strong arm quickly wrap around my waist and I was quickly pulled up and away from the mummies.

Ardeth quickly handed me the axe, making himself weaponless. "What about you?" I quickly asked him. He shook his head.

"I'll be fine. Now fight." He demanded as she charged at the mummies. I quickly followed after him and swung the axe, impaling the mummies and cutting off their arms and legs. For some odd reason, it felt easy to wield it. I've never done this before but it felt...right. I couldn't understand why, but frankly that didn't matter. All that mattered was making it out of here; alive.

I was battling my group of mummies with a heard a pained yell come from Arden. My head quickly turned in his direction and I saw him being overpowered by his group of mummies. I quickly kicked a mummy away from me and rushed to his rescue. I swung at the mummies, managing to help him fend off his remaining few. When I went back to fighting my mummies, I found myself getting better at killing them.

I easily chopped the head off of a mummy and watched as it rolled on the ground. While I was distracted, I was grabbed by the ankles and pulled to the ground. When I saw what had caught my ankle, I realized it was the remaining hand of a mummy's that I had cut off. Another mummy then got on top of me and let out a loud scream, and it's breath wreaked of death. I felt a sharp piercing pain in my side and I let out a cry for help. I used whatever energy I had and tried to fight the mummy off of me. But with every punch I gave it, I felt myself quickly giving in. I felt another pain in my side, this one worst than the first. I had let out another piercing scream, calling to Ardeth.

When the mummy raised it's hand to complete it's task at killing me, it was suddenly kicked in the face, sending it's head flying in across the room. The hand had caused me to fall was destroyed, leaving only Ardeth and I. The room echoed of our loud breaths as we were tired and beaten. Ardeth helped sit up, placing his hand over my fresh wound in my side.

"Are you alright?" He asked me. I winced a bit at the pressure he was applying and slowly nodded my head.

"After this, I'm never stepping foot in Hamunaptra again," I laughed lightly. My eyes met Ardeth's and he held that same serious look. But this time, it seemed different. He looked worried and he didn't seem scary in any type of way. At that moment, I didn't know what came over me. Before I realized it, I had pressed my lips to Ardeth's. And the oddest thing was that he didn't protest against it. He actually kissed back, slowly moving with me.

But alas, our moment was shortly interrupted when the ground began to shake. Ardeth broke the kiss and helped me stand up. "We must leave," he said quickly as he took my arm and put it over his shoulder. We rushed through the room, quickly heading for the exit. I took notice of the ceiling slowly yet quickly coming down on us. We needed to be fast or else we'd either be trapped down her forever or we'll crushed.

With luck, we managed to make it out, alive. We ran into two camels that had ran towards us during our escape and Ardeth helped me onto one. When I settled onto it, I carefully placed my hand onto my wound, applying a small amount of pressure to it. We rode the camels away from the collapsing city until we were a safe distance away.

I took notice of Rick, Jonathan, and Evy and we both made our way towards them. Ardeth had placed his hand on Jonathan, causing him to scream, with Evy quickly following after. "Oh! Thank you," Jonathan said as he placed his hand on his heart. "Thank you very much."

"You've earned the respect and gratitude of me and my people." Ardeth spoke. Jonathan chuckled lightly.

"Yes, well, it was nothing," my brother said cockily. I rolled my eyes at his atitude.

"May Allah smile upon you always," Ardeth finished with a small prayer-like thing. He started riding away, but he gave me one small smile, causing me to blush a bit.

"And...yourself," Jonathan tried to copy Ardeth but failed miserably. "Yes, anytime." He spoke to Ardeth's departing back.

"Stay out of trouble," Rick gave a small wave and I couldn't help but notice Evy smiling big and bright.

"He's just...leaving us here," Jonathan chuckled lightly. "Well, I guess we go home empty-handed...again." Jonathan noted.

"I wouldn't say that," Rick added. I noticed him look at Evy and she looked at him and then they shared a passionate kiss in the setting sun. I smiled lightly, but it was quickly interrupted by a light wince. I moved my hand and saw my hand covered in my own blood.

"Jazmine, what happened?" Evy asked as she came to my side and held my hand, looking at the blood. Rick came closer and he noticed my bloodstained shirt.

"We gotta take you back to Cairo, now." He stated. I gave him a pained smile.

"You sounded light Ardeth when you said that." Jonathan got onto his own camel and Evy and Rick got onto their own camel and we rode towards Cairo.
