Sometimes Love Just Ain't Enough

"After the fateful meeting, high school sweethearts, the infamous business man Natsume Hyuuga, CEO of Mandarin Ruby Enterprise finally tied the knot with Mikan Sakura owner of the Sakura fashion line. The couple was married in Kyoto hometown of Mrs. Hyuuga in a private villa with enclosed ceremony. Many of the famous alumni of Alice Academy attended the wedding, Ruka Nogi the vet. And his wife Hotaru Nogi the owner of Imai Technology, Misaki Harada and boy friend Tsubasa And o, Tonouchi Akira and many moreā€¦ see page 22 for more info."

Mikan Hyuuga contemplated on that article she saved in her diary. She remembered the whole event of her wedding, the gown, Natsume's smiling face as he waited for her at the altar, her nerves as she walked down the aisle with her uncle, the beautiful red and gold decorations, the fresh flowers, everything. She was happy indeed. Natsume had booked their honeymoon for a month's rest to travel around the world. They visited Seoul, Beijing, Shanghai, Bali, Sentosa Island, Kuala Lumpur, Amsterdam, Paris, London and New York. Natsume was the gentleman she dreamed of and he gave her two beautiful children. A son, Sora Hyuuga and a daughter Kazusa Hyuuga and being a mother was a happiness she couldn't even described in words. She even gave up her job to care for her children.

She torn her vision and looked at the old fashioned clock in the Hyuuga Mansion sitting room. It was already two hours passed midnight. Mikan sighed and closed her diary as she prepared herself to go to sleep. She was always like this since last month, waiting for her husband to came back home. Natsume even promised today or yesterday he would be home early to tell stories to their children. She wanted to be angry at Natsume but didn't have the energy to do so as she was drained for staying up late. Natsume didn't just break a promise to her but to her precious, their children, and that was a big deal to her. Recently, she began to think the children were slowly losing their father figure. Natsume no longer watched his son's football match or her daughter's piano concert, he no longer play baseball with his son or tell stories to their youngest, Kazusa. They even asked where have their father gone to.

Mikan closed the door and once again felt the emptiness in her heart as she yearned for the old Natsume. She sometimes make believe to herself Natsume was there smiling at her, held their children and in summer Natsume chased them around in the backyard.

A tear made it's way to her cheek as she wept in her pillow, asking herself where had she gone wrong.
