Rain crashed towards the ground like shattered glass, splattering against Raphael's skin. To the hot tempered boy, the droplets were an antidote to the unbelievable agony plaguing his heart. Lips separating to release a shaky sigh, the red clad vigilant felt the salt water pointlessly trail down with the rain.
Said bottom lip trembled ever so slightly, showing his utmost sadness. Blinking for more than a brief second, Raph acknowledged the lightening bolt of despair gleaming in his aching heart. Gripping the oozing slits across his wrist, his twin fingers soaked up the dripping crimson that stained his dark wrappings. Usually, he was outstanding at covering up the horrible agony within him with the rage that resulted from his self hate.
Thinking of himself a monster was the way of putting it nicely. He was a monstrosity that should have never been created. His knee pads collided with the concrete as the young mutant fell to his knees. Bloody palms smacked against the concrete as well as he doubled over. Screaming out of pure anguish and frustration, the tears seeped from the corners of his emerald eyes. Raphael could not handle what monster he had become.
