I am sorry for the late update!
Medical problems, you know, they're a big deal. And get in the way.
But yeah, here it is... And it's the last one. I've planned this chapter since the beginning and originally decided for it to be the end, then changed my mind, then changed my mind AGAIN. It has to end somewhere, right?
Sorry if it's pretty shitty. I am, after all, feeling shitty.
More will be said at the end. Until then, enjoy the chapter!
Pip stared in awe at the man stood in his doorway. He looked back at Pip with a smile, and his eyes weren't red, but rather, grey. Did he put contacts in or was it some sort of magic?
Or was it just simply a dream?
"Do you two know each other from school?" Pip's mother asked. "I haven't seen you around."
"N-No..." Pip stuttered, unable to say anything else.
"I do not live in this town," said Damien. "But I met Pip whilst I was on a visit and we have gotten on well since."
"Well, would you like to come in?" she asked, clearly admiring Damien's polite tone.
"I would appreciate that, ma'am," he said. "If that is alright with Pip, of course."
"Y-Yes, that is fine..." Pip said, his eyes still fixed on Damien. He smiled, and nodded his thanks at Pip's mother when she closed the door after him.
"You two can make your way to Pip's room if you like, there is still a while before you have to go, Pip," she said. Pip nodded, and silently walked up the stairs and led Damien to his room. He closed the door, and turned back to Damien.
"What are you doing here?" Pip asked quietly. "You've never visited me while I am awake before."
"I apologise if my arrival was a little too unexpected."
"N-No, it's fine..."
"It's just that I wanted to see you in person," Damien said, smiling softly.
"But why would you come to me now?" asked Pip, sitting down on his bed. "You've sorted everything out for me now... Which I'm grateful for, of course. But I thought that there would be no reason for you to come back to me now."
"Of course there is. It is the same reason why I decided to help you in the first place."
"You have an interest in me?"
"I care about you," Damien sighed. He sat down besides Pip, his eyes fixed on the floor. "It's crazy, it really is. I shouldn't feel anything like this. I always thought I couldn't feel anything like this."
"Feel anything like what?" Pip whispered.
"Something which I really shouldn't even be thinking about," Damien said, putting his head in his hands. "But I can't help it. No matter how much I try to distract myself, it just won't go away."
"There are thoughts about you which I shouldn't be thinking about either," said Pip softly. "But, like yours, they won't go away."
"It's so strange, when I look at you," Damien said, raising his head so he could look into Pip's eyes. "You're different than any other human I've laid my eyes on. It's your soul."
"My soul?" Pip questioned. "What's so different about mine to others?"
"It's completely pure," Damien smiled. "It's the rarest thing possible with mortals. Even the most caring people of your kind don't have a soul like yours. I can see it; how pure, how white it is. Even though people say homosexuality is a sin, it still doesn't change how pure your soul is."
"What colour is yours?"
"I don't have one," he said. "I'm a demon, and we don't have souls. But if I did, it would most likely be pure black. It would be the complete opposite to yours."
"Is that why you feel differently towards me?"
"Perhaps that is why," Damien chuckled. "It is the most major part about you. It is like that with any human. Soul mates are those who have souls which contrast with each other."
"So you can see anyone's soul?"
"Yes, everyone's," Damien nodded. "One of the perks of being a demon of my strength."
"So if someone is naturally connected with another because of their souls, does that mean that we..."
His words trailed off, though Damien shrugged.
"I don't know, I am honestly unsure about the situation."
A silence fell on the room for a few moments before Pip spoke again.
"Did you hear what I told Craig?" he asked.
"Yes, I did."
"Are you... Mad?"
"No, I'm not mad," Damien replied, shaking his head. "It was completely understandable with the situation you were in and I know that I can trust Craig from now on. I have no reason to be mad at you."
"Ah, I'm glad that you aren't," Pip smiled. "I was worried that was one of the reasons why you came to see me."
"It's definitely not," Damien murmured. "When is the dance tonight?"
"Oh, you heard that part?" he chuckled, and Damien nodded. "It starts in about an hour. I'm going to head down there soon."
"You haven't got a date for it already, have you?" Damien smirked, and Pip had to take a moment to be able to reply.
"Um, n-no... Why?"
"Because I want to take you," he replied bluntly. Pip's eyes widened, and he felt a blush start to form on his cheeks.
"O-Oh... Um..."
"If you don't want me to, that's fine," Damien grinned. Pip shook his head quickly.
"N-No, I do want you to, I'm just..."
"Surprised?"
"Well, yes."
"As you are already aware of, I did overhear your conversation with Craig," said Damien. "And it so happens that I want to go with you as well as you wanting to go with me."
"R-Really?" Pip asked softly, smiling up at him.
"Well, that is why I am asking," Damien said. His hand slowly reached out and held onto Pip's hand. "I want to able to spend more time with you. It isn't the same just seeing you in your dreams."
"I want that, too."
"I am glad," Damien smiled. He paused, looking at his hand placed on Pip's. The British boy heard him breathe in deeply, before he rose up off the bed. Pip smiled softly. It seemed as though Damien was actually flustered. Were demons unable to blush? If they were able to, then Pip believed Damien would be doing so right now. But, his cheeks remained as white as ever. Perhaps it was something to do with the skin that made it unable to colour.
"I can see that you've been having a little trouble choosing something to wear for tonight," Damien chuckled, pointing at a discarded clothes lying on a chair near Pip's closet. "Are you feeling indecisive?"
"No, it's not that I can't choose," Pip sighed, brushing back his hair. "I'll look ridiculous wearing any of these tonight. It's not supposed to be too formal or anything, but it is raising money for charity so I want to look a little respectable. They'll all laugh at me if I wear any of these."
"I think you'll look better than anyone attending tonight no matter what you wear," Damien murmured. He walked over to the closet, and pulled out a white jacket, a pair of white trousers, and a black shirt. "However, if you are honestly finding it that hard to decide, you could always wear these."
"I don't remember ever buying them," Pip said, but he realised where they had come from as soon as he finished that sentence. "Oh Damien, you didn't have to."
"It's not like it was difficult or anything for me," he chuckled. "White suits you. It'll contrast with my clothes well, too."
He gestured down at his own dark clothing.
"I suppose I could wear this with those black shoes I haven't really had the chance to wear yet..." Pip said, looking down at a pair of clearly unworn shoes which sat on the floor among others.
"It'll look great on you," Damien smiled.
"Thank you," Pip blushed. "Um, could you..."
"Of course, I'm sorry. Do you want me to leave the room?"
"No, it's fine, just look away," Pip said, his blush deepening. Damien nodded and instantly turned around away from Pip. He really does respect me, He thought as he changed into the clothes Damien had given him. "Alright, I am ready."
Damien turned around to look at Pip, and his eyes widened. Pip looked... Well, beautiful. He was right – he looked great in white. It matched how pure he was. Damien was not shy to express his thoughts, either.
"You look beautiful, Pip," he said, almost breathless. "Absolutely beautiful."
"Well, it's thanks to you," Pip said, looking at himself in his mirror. "You're the one who got me these in the first place."
"But it's you who looks beautiful, not just the clothes."
Pip smiled, and turned round to look back at Damien. The taller boy gently took Pip's hands in his own, and slowly, began to lower his head to Pip's...
"Pip, Damien, are you both ready? The dance will be starting soon," called Pip's mother through the door. Pip and Damien quickly sprung apart, both embarrassed.
"Y-Yeah, we are," Pip called, his face bright red. His mother entered the room, and immediately smirked at the redness of Pip's face.
"I didn't interrupt anything, did I?"
"What? No! No, of course you didn't," Pip said quickly. She gave him a knowing look, which then turned into admiration when she noticed his clothes.
"Oh, Pip, you look lovely," she said, smiling. "Did Damien give them to you? I haven't seen them before."
"Yes, he did," Pip answered, smiling up at Damien.
"I gave them to him after he said yes to my request of taking him to the dance tonight."
"I had a feeling that is why you were here," she said, her smile growing. "You're a very polite man. I know that you can treat my son well."
Damien smiled and reached a hand out for the woman to take, but instead, she pulled him into a hug. To both her and Pip's shock, Damien winced in pain, and she quickly backed away.
"Oh gosh, are you alright?" she asked, her face full of concern.
"Yes, I aplogise," he nodded. "I've recently had... Surgery, and my chest is still sensitive."
"Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't realise."
"It's fine, you weren't to know."
"We'll leave in a minute, mother," Pip said. "I am going to message Craig and the others to let them know I'm going to be there soon."
"Alright, see you both in a minute," she smiled, and left the room. When they could hear her reach the bottom of the stairs, Pip turned to Damien, grinning slightly.
"Surgery? Since when did demons need surgery?"
"It was the cross she was wearing," Damien murmured. He undid the top two buttons on his shirt, showing Pip the red mark on his chest. He could tell that if the material hadn't been in the way, the cross would have most likely burnt the skin. He fastened the buttons back up, before speaking again. "It pressed against my chest when she hugged me and, well... I think you can figure out what happened there."
"That one isn't doing anything over there is it?" Pip asked, looking over at the cross on the wall above his bed with concern.
"No, don't worry," Damien chuckled, wrapping Pip in his arms. "It only hurts with physical contact."
"Good," Pip smiled, returning Damien's hug. They stayed like this for a few moments before Pip gently pulled away. "I better actually let them know I'll be there soon."
"Are you going to tell them you're going with me?" Damien asked.
"Nope," Pip chuckled, taking Damien's hand. "I think I'll let it be a surprise."
To say that the students at the school that night were surprised is an understatement. Naturally, they all already knew that Pip was gay, but it probably was unexpected that Pip would turn up with a date at all, never mind someone that looked like Damien. He was very tall, especially compared to Pip, and even though his eyes were still grey people probably didn't expect gothic men with startlingly pale skin to be his type. It amused Pip to think about what their reactions would be if they knew that Damien was actually the son of Satan.
"Oh, Pip, I'm glad you could make it!" Bebe called as he and Damien walked up to the main hall. She was sitting next to Clyde, selling tickets. They both looked up at Damien with curiousity. "Who's this, Pip?"
"Is this the crush we were talking about today?" Clyde said, interrupting Bebe's squealing.
"Um, yeah, he is..." Pip said, smiling.
"I asked Pip if I could come with him today," Damien said.
"You both look great together!" Bebe cried.
"Come on, Bebe, try to hold back your fangirling!" Clyde laughed. He handed two tickets over to Pip and Damien, grinning. "Try not to get scared away by her! The others are inside already, just in case you want to say hi."
"I will do," Pip smiled.
"See you later, dude."
Pip was quite surprised at the look of the hall. He hadn't expected the school to make it look so good. He expected there just to have a bit of a bad dance floor, some chairs, and maybe some food and drinks. But there was much more than that, and the dance floor was actually big enough for everyone. They even had a bar, and it was clear from even how far away Pip was that there were some underage teenagers trying to get their hands on something alcoholic.
In fact, when he heard that it was a dance, he thought it was going to be just that. But... Well, it seemed as though the school had surprised them by making it a full on party. Which, in fact, would probably raise them more money.
Before Pip even had the chance to walk over to greet his friends and introduce them to Damien, Kenny McCormick had already came over with his arm around his new girlfriend, Tammy.
"Kenneth? What a pleasure this is," Damien smiled, stretching his hand out for Kenny to take. Kenny did so, and gave him a smile of his own.
"I didn't expect to see you here, especially not with Pip. I didn't know you two knew each other."
"I didn't know you both knew each other, either," Pip laughed. "How exactly did you meet?"
"I met him one of the times I've been in He-" Kenny paused. "I met him one of the times he came to, uh, my workplace."
"Oh, that's nice," Pip smiled. "Where do you work?"
"He works in the KFC," Tammy said.
"You like KFC?" Pip laughed, looking at him with questioning eyes. "I didn't know that chicken was your kind of thing."
"Um, we better get going to see the others," Damien said, gesturing at Craig, Tweek and Token. "They're going to start wondering where you are."
"Yeah, that's true. See you later," said Pip, smiling at Kenny and Tammy. They both walked away, and Pip's eyes scanned the room for his friends.
"Let's see... Wow, there are so many people in here, I can't find them."
"They're over there," Damien pointed over to the other side of the room. He took Pip's hand, smiling. "Height advantage."
"Don't rub it in," Pip laughed. "Come on, let's go."
They quickly made their way through the crowd to join the others.
"Hey, look, it's Pip! And..." Token started, staring up at Damien.
"This is Damien," Pip smiled, squeezing Damien's hand softly. "Damien Thorn."
"This is y-your crush?" Tweek asked.
"Yes, it is," Pip nodded. Craig looked at him, a satisfied look in his eyes.
"I told you he would come," he said. He gave a small smile to Damien, before turning to Token. "Come on. Go on over to her."
He gestured to Nichole, standing next to Red.
"Pip has Damien now, Clyde has Bebe, I have Tweek... Hell, even Cartman has Wendy. You deserve to be happy too."
"Wait, Cartman has Wendy?" Token questioned, astonished.
"L-Look, they're over there," Tweek said, nodding over at the unlikely pair dancing together. Damien smiled smugly to himself, knowing neither of them would be there if it wasn't for him.
"Well, that was unexpected," Token chuckled. He looked back at Craig, smiling gratefully. "You're right, dude. Thank you."
The four of them watched as Token walked away, before looking back at each other. There was a silence before Craig spoke again.
"We're not at a dance for nothing, right? Come on, let's go."
He didn't hesitate to pull Tweek onto the dance floor. Pip laughed, and looked at Damien.
"Do you want to..."
"That's why we came here."
Damien guided him slowly over to the dance floor, and gently put his hand on Pip's waist. Pip blushed, and placed his own hand on Damien's shoulder. They moved slowly in time with the music, both transfixed in each other's eyes. It was strange to think that in only a few weeks, they had gotten closer than they had ever expected when they had first met in Pip's dreams. Neither of them had known that they would both eventually fall for one another.
'Darling, don't be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years.'
Pip's life was utterly miserable before Damien came into it. He had begun to start questioning why he even needed to keep living; no one seemed to care if he was alive or not. All he saw himself as was the stupid British kid who was only good for being picked on. He had no purpose; he wasn't making any lives better. He could just disappear, and it wouldn't make a difference.
But Damien changed that. Damien had fixed everything. He stopped the bullying, he gave Pip friends. True, real friends, for the first time in his life.
What shows love more than that does?
'I'll love you for a thousand more...'
"Damien?"
"Yes, Pip?"
"Thank you."
"For what?"
"Everything. You changed everything for the better. I don't know where I'd be without you."
Damien smiled softly, and raised one hand so it cupped Pip's cheek. Gently, he pressed his lips against Pip's. In that moment, nothing else mattered. The feel of their lips touching sent sparks through their bodies, and it was clear to them at that moment that their love was strong.
"You're welcome."
So... That's it. Yeah, the ending sucks. Sorry.
But it's harder for me to write now. Basically, here's my medical state:
- Constant headaches (constant meaning literally every second of the day) for almost two years
- Constant foot and ankle pain from previous surgery affecting me badly
- Constant back, neck and shoulder pain
- Constant arm and hand pain
- Constant nausea
- Almost constant pain in lower body, chest, and sometimes in stomach
- Dizziness
That's pretty much it. Kinda sucks, kinda limiting me from basic things in life (like walking and standing for normal periods of time).
I might even have to not go to college next year even though I've already been accepted. And most of my friends are interested and searching for part-time jobs now we are sixteen and I can't have most of them because I can't stand as long as you have to for them /.\
Because my head is so bad now I find it harder to do my favourite hobbies (animating and drawing) so when I can do those, I normally choose to do them over writing because, even though I love writing, I enjoy them more and want a career based off them. So that's why this chapter is late.
So I'm probably not going to start another fanfiction for a while yet. I have a few in my head (for South Park, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Wrestling) and I've been considering rewriting my most popular fanfiction, Another Side of Draco Malfoy, but I'm not going to do that, for now at least. I will only start a new one if I have one of my ideas truly develop in my mind on its own... If that makes sense.
I might write a one-shot or two... I really don't know. If I start writing something, I'll let you know in my profile (like how I put the word count for this story in there).
But anyway, I hope you liked the story. I have enjoyed writing it a lot, and I'm very happy it's become my second most popular story. I've appreciated all the feedback I've gotten, so thank you.
Until next time, whenever that may be.
