Hermione looked around the hotel room one last time to make sure she had everything before she made her portkey. Just as she made a sweep past the window there was an owl pecking on it.

"Hedwig?"

She walked slowly to the window and let the owl in. Hermione untied the letter and read it quickly. Tears started to gather in her eyes as she read the letter. She leaned on the wall for support before sliding to the floor. She couldn't believe it. He was going to look for her. Why couldn't he just leave her alone?

Hermione turned back to Hedwig and saw that the bird was glaring at her. She sighed. Harry wants a reply and he will not let her out of it. She should have know that this wasn't going to be easy. Harry never gave up on something that he cared about.

What am I going to do? She thought. He needs to know that I'm doing this for his own good. Why can't he see that? Hermione just sighed and wrote a reply, tied it to Hedwig's leg and sent her on her way. Hedwig was out of sight when Hermione picked up her bag full of stuff and touched the portkey.

Harry paced by the window waiting for his owl to get with a reply. He didn't know how long he would have to wait but he wouldn't stop moving until Hedwig came back.

"Master Harry, your owlzes is in the kitchen."

Harry whipped his head around and stared at Kreacher.

"Master Harry? The owlzes has an answer."

Harry stared at Kreacher for another second before taking off to the kitchen. Hedwig sat in the middle of the kitchen table with a piece of parchment tied to her leg.

Dear Harry,

I love you too.

But, I'm sorry. I caught a glimpse of the future in a vision. You know that I hate divination but I knew this was the real deal. If I didn't give my magical power to Fred he ended up dead. That destroyed George. George ended up killing himself, which left the Weasley family in even more pain. Within three days of George's death Ron would die in an explosion due to him trying to carry on his brothers' work. You would be devastated and during his funeral I collapse. I don't last more than a week after the death of our best friend.

Listen to me and listen well, Harry James Potter. I always have my reasons and this future is better than that. Anything is better than that. My will is that letter but I have a request from you too. Let me go. Let me die in peace. I am saving you from the future. You were drunk, worse than that godfather of yours. You ignored Teddy and that ruined every chance of happiness of ever knowing his true parents. I would not let that happen. You willbring Sirius back and you will take care of that little boy. You will fall in love again and forgot all about me.

Love you with all my heart,

Hermione
