Elsa's head snapped up and looked frantically around. I can't believe I fell asleep. She mentally scolded herself and held Anna tightly. Looking down at her younger sister, she couldn't help but smile at how peaceful she looked. Shuffling her around a bit, she nudged some maggots out of the way to examine the wound. The wound looked a lot less angry, the maggots did a splendid job of cleaning away the dead flesh. Elsa brushed away the remaining maggots and bandaged her wound. Anna mumbled something in her sleep and shifted slightly.

Elsa thought back to what has happened to them so far and was disgusted by the entire thing but completely powerless as well. Anna stirred and slowly opened her eyes. "Elsa?" She blinked away the sleep and looked around. Elsa smiled and brushed some hair out of her face. "How are you feeling? I was so scared that the wound would get infected." Anna leaned into her touch and nuzzled her hand. "It is a little itchy but other than that it doesn't really bother me." Anna peered at her wound before turning to Elsa. "We aren't safe here, we are still in the danger zone and the Game of Kings is only half way through by my calculations." Elsa stared at Anna in surprise we a slightly raised eyebrow. Coughing and blushing slightly, Anna shuffled to her feet and pointed above them. "We need to get to higher ground, our cave was nice but I would like to know where we are or at least try to make a plan and use the higher ground to our advantage."

Elsa, taken aback by her what was in her opinion, mild and timid sister who suddenly began to take charge. She admired the look of power and confidence that came from Anna and couldn't help but wonder if she was powerful and confident in another way. Blushing hotly at the thought, she shook her head to try get the images of a dominating Anna out of her head. Taking a deep breath, she stood up and placed a hand on Anna's shoulder who was still ranting about getting to higher ground. "Anna. We should go back to the bear." Anna whirled around and stared wide-eyed at Elsa. "Wait, what?" Elsa looked a little troubled about the possibility of seeing their friends mutilated bodies but steeled her resolve. "Bear meat. It would sustain us for a while at least. And we would be able to bury Merida and Hiccup…" She trailed off softly. Anna flinched when the scenes of her friends played through her mind. "I wish we could do more, but they deserve that much at least." Elsa guided Anna back towards the direction of the corpses of their friends and bear.

The two sisters dragged their feet back to them while still being weary of other students. They arrived not to long after and stared at the blood-smeared snow that was slowly turning an ugly shade of brown. Their eyes roamed over the devastation, trees were stripped of their bark. Upturned snow, dirt littered the clearing, and there off to the right sat a frozen but very much dead Hiccup with Merida still cradled in his arms. The pair made their way over to them, tears threatening to spill from their eyes. If it weren't for the fact that they were dead and covered in blood and gore, then it would look like they just were sleeping peacefully. Sighing loudly, Anna knelt down and began going through their bags, taking whatever that had. "They don't need it anymore." She mumbled to herself, as if to assure herself that it was a good enough reason to justify her actions. After putting away the things she took from them, she pulled out her pick axe and began hacking away at the earth beside them. Elsa unsheathed her sword and walked over to the bear that was laying a little ways away. She didn't know how to skin an animal, but she has watched her father do it the times he managed to catch something. Skinning the bear slowly, she would sometimes stop and glance over her shoulder to make sure that Anna was still there and scanned their surroundings for any danger. "We can use the skin for colder nights, we just need to clean it thoroughly and the meat needs to roast for a while longer than usual, just to make sure that we have killed everything in it. We don't know if there are any diseases, hopefully not but might as well be sure than sorry." Anna nodded absentmindedly and wiped the sweat off her brow. Standing back, she looked at the makeshift grave and then over at Elsa. Without her having to say anything, Elsa trudged over to her and looked at her friends. "I didn't want to separate them." Anna whispered and stared at the lone hole. Elsa nodded in understanding and tiptoed around Hiccup. "They are frozen, best way would be to try and carry them both at once." She concluded and crouched down to pick them up. Anna shuddered at the sight of Merida's open stomach and battled to contain the contents of her own stomach. Walking to the other side of the pair, Anna leaned down and helped her sister pick them up. With some difficulty and some huffing and puffing, they managed to place them in their final resting place and covered them up. Elsa placed Hiccup's axe on the grave but slung Merida's longbow and arrows over her shoulder. They looked at the mound for a short while longer before going over to the bear. "I only need a little more time to get everything off." Elsa mumbled and went back to carving the meat off the bear. Anna nodded and did the best she could to clean her trusty pick-axe. Wrapping all the meat she could get off the bear in its skin, Elsa tied off the limbs around the duffel back and slung it over her shoulder. She wiped her sword on the skin, sheathed it and turned to Anna. "Higher ground?" Anna took one final look at the grave and nodded. "Higher ground."

The climb up the cliff side was slow and dangerous, especially with Anna's bad shoulder, but not once did she complain or utter a sound of discomfort. Their fingers were shredded and bleeding from the sharp rocks, the cold was making the hike a lot more volatile and they were slowly losing the feelings in their fingers. If they didn't get to the top and begin warming them up, the possibility of loosing them to frostbite was a likely chance. Blowing a loose strand of hair out of her face, Elsa's hand reached the edge of the cliff, clambering up to the edge she heaved herself up and rolled onto the ledge. Groaning from the treacherous climb she hissed at the ache of the muscles protesting in her arms and calves. Huffing, she pulled herself over to the edge to check up on Anna. Not too far from the top the familiar fiery hair blew from the altitude they were in, concentration and exhaustion could clearly be seen on the younger girls face. "Nearly there Anna, just a little more." Determined to reach Elsa quickly, she misjudge the strength of the snow under her footing and pushed off from it. Suddenly Anna felt the snow beneath her foot disappear, swearing loudly, she hung on for dear life, her legs flailing desperately to find secure ground.

"ANNA!" Elsa lunged for she was just out of reach. Fear distorted Anna's usually clear eyes. Thinking as fast as she could, Elsa drew her sword and held out her braid. "Elsa, no!" Anna called out desperately. With a swift stroke, Elsa cut off her long platinum blonde hair. Ignoring Anna's yells of disbelief and threats, Elsa thrust her sword as deep as she could into the ground, leaning precariously over the edge of the cliff, she reached as far as she could towards Anna. Anna seeing what she was trying to do with her hair reached up for the other end and grasped the soft locks firmly. "I swear Elsa, when I get up there…" She promised her sister. Elsa was not paying any attention to her. The makeshift rope was not as strong as she would have liked it and she was slowly losing her grip on the hilt of her sword. Growling in frustration of being stuck between a rock and a hard place, she looked down at Anna and could still see the fear in her eyes. Narrowing her eyes and gritting her teeth, Elsa slowly but surely began pulling Anna up with strength she didn't know that she possessed. Anna was surprised by the sheer determination and raw power Elsa showed and once she could feel her feet get a better hold, she began to climb up the rest of the way with Elsa's help. With one final show of strength, Elsa yanked Anna up and fell backwards with a tiny squeak. Groaning at the impact of the ground against her tailbone, she didn't register that Anna broke her fall by landing on top of her.

Yelping in surprise, Anna landed face first into something very soft and very round. Blinking in surprise and shaking from the adrenaline rush, she just stared into Elsa's chest where her face was nestled comfortably. "Anna? Anna are you ok?" Elsa felt her trembling and wrapped her arms around her, pulling her tighter and closer to her. Thinking that she was shaking from fear, Elsa adopted a look of concern and worry, especially after she squeaked. Looking down at the younger girl, she saw a blush that covered most of her face and just realized how suggestive their position was. Spluttering and flailing her arms around, Elsa tried to explain herself. "I-I didn't mean to suffocate you." Anna just giggled, rested her head against Elsa's chest and listened to her heartbeat. "Don't worry about it, I like it." Both girls froze and blinked in surprise. Wait, what? That thought ran through both their heads. Laughing nervously, Anna leaned away from her sister. The wind blew and caressed the now short hair that Elsa had. "Your hair!" Anna exclaimed and reached up to run her hand through it. It was still as soft as ever but it was short. Anna looked saddened by that fact. "You shouldn't have done that." Elsa just sighed and scratched the cut that Hans left on her face. That will most likely scar. "It is just hair. It will grow back again eventually."

Anna huffed and tugged lightly at her hair. "Give me your knife, lets try to clean up this mess that you made." Elsa laughed and unclipped the hunting knife from its holster, handing it over to Anna, she turned around and let her chop away some more of her hair to make it look somewhat decent. "I'm not mum, but I tried my best." Elsa's hair was now extremely choppy and a lot shorter than shoulder length. In a sense it could look like a pixie cut, if you squint. Anna still saddened by the length of her hair handed back her knife and got a good look around. "We need to find shelter, and we need to find it soon. The sun is about to go down and I do not feel like traipsing around in the danger zone after dark." Elsa mumbled while clipping her knife back in place. Anna was about to comment when they heard two voices arguing around the corner. Panicking, they looked around frantically for a hiding spot but they were on the edge of the cliff with nothing but empty space behind them. "You didn't have to kill them, Simba." A female voice scolded. "Of course I did, you want to go back home right, Nala? It's a dog eat dog world right now, and by getting rid of those two it means that we have a better chance of getting home." A smooth male voice replied. Around the bend two figures emerged, the mane of red hair was a trademark of Simba's and was easily recognizable. His companion was a fair skinned girl with blue eyes, she looked a bit like Elsa but slightly more hardened around the edges.

Anna frowned when she saw the pair; they were notorious for being two of the most hard-headed people around and didn't take kindly to being talked back to. "I do bu- hello." She stopped short when she saw Elsa and Anna and nudged Simba before a smirk crept onto her face. Anna subconsciously pushed Elsa behind her and edged her hand towards her pick axe. "My, my, my. Look at what the cat dragged in." Simba purred eyeballed the girls. Elsa shivered in disgust as it reminded her of Hans and shrunk behind Anna. He pulled out a pair of knuckledusters and slipped them on, it made him look like he had claws. "You two seem like you've gotten a little lucky hm." Nala gestured towards the bear meat hanging from Elsa's bag. "Don't even think about it." Anna hissed and yanked her pick axe from her belt. "You dare say 'no' to the King?" Simba sneered and crouched down getting ready to lunge. Anna scoffed. "Just because you are school's best boxer doesn't make you the king." She brandished the axe in front of her. Elsa unslung her bow and knocked an arrow, aiming it at Simba. "Oh. Feisty. I like that." He grinned at the thought of a fight and Nala rolled her eyes before pulling out twin daggers from her bag. The four of them just stood there waiting for the other to make the first move. Elsa was shaking slightly from holding the string for so long, trying to aim through her shaking, she couldn't hold the drawstring anymore and the deafening thrum of the string rand through the cliff top. Roaring in pain as the arrow pierced Simba's thigh, he feel to the ground clutching his leg. Nala looked on indifferently and suddenly sprinted towards the two sisters. Anna waiting swung out with her axe when she was within her range but Nala stopped and jumped back. Elsa quickly knocked another arrow and shot it towards Nala, however the shot was rushed and it flew harmlessly past her. Grinning feral at her, she was about to lunge again but was intercepted by Anna who swung again, this time going for her neck. Nala tsked and quickly ducked out of the way.

Grunting in pain, Simba grabbed hold of the arrow and yanked it out and threw it aside. "I'll kill you!" He roared and charged head first at the girls, not caring that Nala was also the heat of it. Elsa seeing the charge fired another arrow at Simba but missed, she didn't have time to knock another arrow so instead drew her sword, pushed Anna out of the way and swung it in a wide arc. Nala defended herself with her daggers but was shoved aside from the force of the swing, Simba did a powerslide under the swing, sprung up in front of Elsa and landed a devastating uppercut to her ribs. The air was knocked out of her lungs accompanied by the snapping sound of her ribs breaking. Howling in pain, she doubled over and curled up into a ball. "Elsa!" Anna looked mortified that someone dared to harm her sister and jumped into the fray. A war cry escaped her lips as she swung wildly at Simba, however Nala jumped in front of Simba and parried the maddened attack. Elsa groaned and reached over for her sword but her ribs protested violently. Laughing maniacally, Simba kicked her as hard as he could in the stomach, which sent her sprawling over the edge of the cliff. Twisting around, Elsa quickly latched onto the edge before gravity could grab a hold of her. "Elsa!" Anna fought vehemently against Nala to try get to her sister who was clinging on for dear life. Struggling to get up on the cliff, Elsa fought against the excruciating pain in her side but her feet couldn't find a firm hold. Simba limped over to her before kneeling down and grabbed onto her wrists lifting them of the ground. "Long. Live. The. King." And let go of Elsa's wrists. She just managed to glance at Anna and see the absolute look on anguish on her face before gravity sunk its heartless claws into her and jerked her down. Her mouth open in a silent scream as the air was sucked out of her. "ELSA!" She heard her sisters heartbroken scream as she fell to her demise. Anna dived to the edge of the cliff just in time to see Elsa disappear. "ELSA! ELSA! ELSA!" Her cries of despair echoed around the cliff top but she got no reply. She kept on screaming hoping that she would get a reply of any kind, her prayers were answered when she heard the familiar beeping of the collar around her neck. "Elsa…"
