Okay, this took a couple of days to finish up, mainly because the last few days have been an emotional whirlwind for me, and I haven't felt much like writing.

THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT! IT MEANS A LOT TO ME!

Please remember to review at the end! :)

Rebekah felt a hand on her shoulder as she sat by his side for the third day in a row, and slowly, she lifted her eyes to find the tender eyes of her sister-in-law.

"He'll wake soon, Rebekah." Caroline remarked, softly.

Rebekah nodded, and felt a tear roll down her face. "I know." She returned, turning her head back to her sleeping husband.

Husband, the thought made her smile.

He had given in to the prophesy, and made the vow that sealed their love. Without the vow, Rebekah would have been lost. She knew it, and he knew it, and he loved her so much that he threw away his fear to secure her to him.

Caroline nodded, and moved away from her sister, towards the door, where her husband was waiting.

She smiled, and secured herself to his side, before they closed the door to the spare room in their palace.

Klaus smiled, and enveloped her in his arms, making sure she was here and safe.

"I'm here, my love." She whispered, knowing he needed to hear it.

He nodded, and smiled into her shoulder, kissing her bare skin. "I know." He returned, before pulling up to gaze into her eyes. "This is the second time, love." He stated, with emotion.

She smiled, and touched his face. "We made it, Niklaus. That's all that I need to know." She returned, with a tender voice. "I knew you could save me. You've done it before." She added, watching him smile with so much emotion lurking in his eyes.

"You have so much faith in me, Caroline." He replied, tightening his grip around her waist.

She smiled, and nodded. "I love you." She remarked, watching him smile with affection.

"And I love you." He returned, bending his head slightly to kiss her lips, with a tender stroke.

"Our daughter should be arriving soon." She whispered, with excitement.

He chuckled, and turned their bodies with his arm securely fastened around her waist. "Then let's go receive her." He replied, causing his wife to laugh with excitement. "Though, you should probably rest." He remarked, pausing to look at her with concern.

Her eyes flashed with frustration, with caused him to smile, lightly. "Nothing is going to keep me from seeing my daughter, Niklaus Mikaelson." She stated, firmly, placing her pointer finger on his chest to make a point. "I may still be a little weak from my ordeal, but that is not going to stop me from seeing her." She added, watching him smile with tender love.

"If you get too tired…" He began, knowing that the fire she had within her three days ago had weakened her to the point where she could only do a little at a time, until she was completely healed.

Sure the bident had absorbed the fire within, but the residual still remained, and it would take a few days before it was gone out of her completely, and then, she would be good as new. Of course it helped that her light seemed to push the fire down.

"I'll let you know." She promised, realizing how concerned he truly was, which was nothing new. He was always concerned for her. That's what made him a wonderful husband. Lifting her face, she brushed her lips over his cheek, and they began heading towards the throne room, anxiously awaiting the return of their daughter.

Rebekah lifted her eyes to his sleeping face, and brushed her fingers over the scars on his face. "Stefan, please, open your eyes." She whispered, touching his left hand, gingerly.

Smiling, tenderly, she held her palm out and in an instant; she formed a golden ring with flames and small hearts intertwined around the band.

"I thought the man was supposed to pick out the ring."

She shrugged, and shook her head. "I figured…" She trailed off, and turned her head to find him gazing at her with tired eyes. "Stefan!" She nearly screamed, before leaping into his arms, landing, accidently on his bent arm, but he didn't seem to care, as his right secured her to his body. "Oh, my love, you're awake!" She shouted with delight.

He chuckled, and moved to sit up with ease, and with her still sitting on his lap. "Did you ever doubt I would?" He asked, caressing her face with his right hand.

She shook her head, and smiled with tenderness. "No, but I did worry." She admitted, truthfully.

He smiled, and leaned forward to brush his lips over hers. "If anything I should have been the one to worry." He whispered, touching the small scars on her neck from Silas' fire. "Oh, Rebekah," He whispered, heartbreakingly.

She shook her head, and smiled. "They don't hurt." She commented, softly. "They should disappear, maybe." She added, with a soft smile.

He titled his head to the side, and lifted his right hand to her neck. "Hold still, love." He whispered, watching her eyes widen at his words, and sparkle with love at the sound. As his fingers trailed down her neck, and she felt a tingling touch, and a slight burn, but she masked the pain with the love in her eyes.

She smiled, and leaned forward to brush her lips over his, letting him know that she was grateful.

He hummed as he returned her kiss, and stroked her now healed neck. "Better?" He asked, watching her nod.

"Better," She agreed, touching his face. "How are you?" She asked, worry lining her words.

He sighed, and slowly, stroked her neck and face. "The fire has calmed." He answered, watching her smile as she touched his chest with her left hand. "It'll be a while before it's healed completely." He added, gently. "But for now," He began, reaching to her left hand, and pulled it back to slip off the ring she had slid on her thumb. "I want you to put this on my finger." He whispered, handing her the ring she had created for him.

With a smile, she lifted her eyes to his. "Only if I get one too." She returned, watching him smile.

"Definitely," He remarked, watching her smile, brighter with tears in her eyes.

"Well, then," She remarked, lifting his left hand, gently, and slid the golden ring on his ring finger.

He smiled at her tenderness, and his heart swelled with more love than he ever thought imaginable. Kissing her lips with the same tenderness, he procured an identical ring in his right hand, and as she held up her hand, he slid the perfect golden band on her finger, uniting them for all eternity.

Days later, the gods gathered in the grand hall of the Queen, and celebrated the union of the Goddess of Love and the God of Fire.

By this time, everyone knew of the tale, and of how Silas had finally been defeated. All who arrived, expressed their gratitude to the one who ended the threat Silas had posed on them all.

As Stefan lowered his eyes to his beautiful wife, who stayed close to his side, he realized how grateful he was to the Fates. The women who had made his life a living hell, but who also had predicted the coming of his true love.

His Rebekah.

"Did I tell you?" The object of his gaze whispered, turning her eyes to his.

He began to shake his head, wondering what she was talking about.

She smiled, and leaned further into his embrace. "Bonnie has foreseen an event in the near future." She added, with a sly tone in her voice.

He tilted his head to the side, and she lifted her right hand to his face. "What event?" He asked, his eyes moving over her face.

She smiled, and bowed her head. "An event that will make us parents, my love." She answered, watching his eyes widen as his gaze shifted to her stomach, but she shook her head.

"Not yet, but soon." She added, shaking her head, letting him know that she was not carrying their child, yet. "Will you be happy?" She asked, though she knew by the look on his face that he was beyond happy.

"With you, I always will be." He answered, bending his head, and kissed her lips.

From a distance, his brother watched with a look of joy on his face. Damon nodded, and bowed his head. His brother was happy, finally, and he couldn't be happier for him.

"Your time will come, Damon."

He turned his head, and smiled at his friend. "When, dear Bonnie?" He asked, watching her lift her eyes to his.

"I only know you will, not the exact date." She answered, touching his arm, lightly. "But I will say that she will take you by surprise, and share your passion for the sea." She explained, with gentle tone.

He smiled, and wrapped his arm around her shoulders, hugging her a little tighter. "She wouldn't happen to be an Oracle, would she, judgy?" He asked, watching her eyes sparkle with amusement at the tease, but the light faded just slightly as the words sank in.

"Afraid not." She answered, keeping her tone light.

He smiled, but it didn't reach his eyes, as he kissed the top of her head. "And who will capture your heart, Bon?" He asked, watching her eyes lower at the mention of love.

A sound casued them both to turn their heads, and for a moment, Damon realized who had already won her heart, though she didn't realize it.

He smiled to himself, and nodded, certain that he had figured it out, and from the look on her face, he knew he was right.

Standing a few feet away, holding Rebekah in his arms, was Kol Mikaelson.

"It is done." Ayanna remarked, bowing her head as the image of Stefan and Rebekah faded from the glow of the orb.

The other two nodded their heads, and smiled. "Silas is defeated, and a new life is being created." They said in unison.

Ayanna smiled, and nodded. "That it is, dear ones." She remarked, knowing what this day was creating for the couple just united.

They smiled as the fire around them, burned low like a flicker of light, and they nodded.

The fire had been tempered by the power of love. The way it had been seen years before, and it was as it should be.

Please be kind!

I struggled with how to end this, but this is what it is. I hope you enjoyed it! Thank you all for your support for this, and for being so patient with me as I struggled to update this story, and finally finish it!

As a reward for you lovely readers, here is a (rough) sneak peek of the next installment of the Mythology of Mystic Falls Series! Coming Soon! (As in a few days!)

Prophesy, a word, embodied in the soul of one person, the Oracle, but who was she before the gift was given? What caused her to hold disdain for the one who gave her the gift?

It began a little less than millennia ago. Before the Oracle was the God of Prophesy. Caring only for his family, Kol did hold high regard for the Fates, and soon the depth of his regard was to be tested.

In the town of Mystic Falls, a baby girl was born, a girl whose destiny was to be intertwined with his, whether they would want it to or not.

"Are we sure she is the one?" Sheila asked, gazing at the sleeping child with affection.

Ayanna smiled and nodded. "Can you not see it, Sheila?" She asked, gazing at her descendant. "She has the gift. Look at her eyes, eyes that will hold such wisdom and grace."

Emily nodded, and lifted her eyes to the others. "Will he agree to this?" She asked with worry.

Ayanna nodded and smiled. "He has already agreed." She answered, softly. "When the time comes, he will give his gift to her, as it is written." She added, gazing at the sleeping infant.

Sheila swallowed, and touched the child's head, gently. "And what of the mother?" She asked, closing her eyes.

Ayanna's eyes shifted to Sheila, and she shook her head. "Abigail will not." She stated, simply with a hint of authority in her tone.

"She will not approve of this, and you know it, Ayanna." Emily remarked, grimly.

Ayanna nodded, and sighed. "It does not matter. This child has been chosen, partly because of her bloodline, and partly because she is destined to be his. We have all seen it, sisters." She remarked, shaking her head. "The power of Prophesy will be integrated into her at the right time, and she will become the Oracle. As it is supposed to be." She added, firmly, nodding her head with affirmation.

The others nodded their heads in agreement, and gazed at the sleeping child.

"The power of the Oracle will be hers." Ayanna remarked, with small pride.

The others smiled, and nodded once again, but they knew that this was going to be tricky.

Especially since they knew of the trials that lay ahead for the sleeping infant.

Trials that will test the might of a small girl, and destroy the only woman she ever called mother.

The title is Protecting the Oracle.

I should have it up in a few days! Look for it! Also, due to the fact that this combines mythology and Mystic Falls, I've decided to make it a crossover. I hope that will be okay! That goes for the Kidnapping of the Light, Child of the Underworld, and the rest of the stories soon to be written in this series!

Thanks again for your support! I love you all!

Until Next Time...
