The Sabrina Moore Chronicles Chapter 12: The Song Remains The Same

DEAN'S DREAM

Warrant's "Cherry Pie" played in a strip club.

Dean was seated on a couch in front of a small stage lit from below. An erotic dancer performed for him. She looked just like Ayami when she was human and was wearing a sexy devil outfit.

"Oh, I take it all back. I love the devil." Dean said. She continued dancing. Dean shut his eyes for a moment and opened them to see that a second dancer—Sabrina, dressed in a sexy angel outfit—had joined the Ayami. "Now, that's what I call peace on earth." They leaned over him, hovering near a kiss, then parted. The music ended abruptly and Anna was on the stage. She stared at Dean. He stared back. "Anna?" Dean shifted uncomfortably. The Ayami and Sabrina look-alikes were gone. "I was just, uh, working on a case.

"This is what you dream about." Anna said. Dean looked away and ducked his head.

"The girl is my girlfriend." He muttered. "This is awkward. Why are you gate-crashing my head? Why don't you just swing by the motel?" Dean asked. Anna sat next to Dean.

"I can't find you."

"Oh. Cas did this thing." Dean indicated his ribs. Anna looked away.

"Cas. Right. Now, there's a friend you can count on."

"What?"

"He didn't tell you?"

"Tell me what?"

"Where I've been. Of course not. Why would he?"

"Where have you been?"

"Prison. Upstairs. All the torture, twice the self-righteousness."

"Why wouldn't he have told us where you were?"

"Because he's the one who turned me in. Don't look so shocked. He was always a good little soldier. Did anything under orders."

"I didn't know. Are you okay?"

"No. And I don't have long. I broke out. Barely. They're looking for me. If they find me—"

"Okay. What do you need?" Dean asked.

"Meet me. Two-two-five Industrial. And, please, just—"

MOTEL ROOM – NIGHT

Dean woke abruptly.

"Hurry."

Dean sat up, breathing heavily. Sabrina, who was lying next to him, shifted and looked up at him.

"What's wrong?" She sat up.

"Anna crashed my dream." Dean said rubbing a hand over his face.

"Anna? The angel?" Sabrina asked Dean nodded. "What did she want?" Dean frowned and grabbed his phone. By now Sam was awake and sat up.

"What's going on- Uh Bri, put a shirt on would you?" Sam asked looking away. Sabrina looked down and saw she was topless and the covers had fallen down.

"Whoops sorry." She said pulling up the covers.

"Cas." Dean said into his phone.

WAREHOUSE

Anna entered a dark space, presumably 225 Industrial. Wind blew, sounding like voices. Anna looked around.

"Hello? Who's there?" She asked. Light bulbs overhead burst in showers of sparks. Anna turned slowly, and Castiel appeared behind her.

"Hello, Anna." He said.

"Well. If I didn't know any better..." Anna turned around. "I'd say the Winchesters don't trust me."

"They do. I don't. I wouldn't let them come." Castiel circled Anna. She turned to keep facing him.

"And why is that?" She asked.

"If you're out of prison, it's because they let you out. And they sent you here to do their dirty work."

"And what makes you so sure?"

"Because I've experienced...heaven's persuasion."

"You mean when you gave me to them."

"That was a mistake." He said. A pause. "Anna, whatever they sent you here to do— "

"They didn't send me. I escaped." She said.

"No one escapes."

"All these centuries, and you're underestimating me now?"

"If you're not one of them, then what do you want?"

"I want to help."

"You want to help?"

"Yes."

"Then what are doing with that knife?" Castiel asked. A long pause. Anna drew a knife.

"I'm not allowed to defend myself?" She asked.

"Against whom? That blade doesn't work against angels. It's not like this one." Castiel was holding an angel blade. "Maybe you're not working for Heaven. But there's something you're not telling me." There was a pause.

"Sam Winchester has to die." She said. "I'm sorry but we have no choice. He's Lucifer's vessel."

"He's not the only one."

"What, that guy Nick?" She asked. "He's burning away as we speak. No. Sam is the only vessel that matters. You know what that means? If Lucifer can't take Sam, his whole plan short-circuits. No fight with Michael, no Croatoan virus. The Horsemen go back to their day jobs."

"Even if you could...kill Sam, Satan would just bring him back to life."

"Not after I scatter his cells across the universe." Anna said. Castiel turned away. "They'll never find him. Not all of him." A long pause.

"We'll find another way." Castiel said.

"How's that going? How's the Colt working out? Or the search for God? Is anything working? If you want to stop the devil, this is how."

"The answer's still no. Because Sam is my friend."

"You've changed."

"Maybe too late, but I have." He turned back to Anna. "Anna, we've been through much together, but you come near Sam Winchester and I'll kill you." Anna heard him then a moment later, she was gone. Castiel looked up.

STREET – DAY

A young woman and a young man were sitting in a car smoking; painted on the hood of the car was a phoenix with fiery wings outstretched. Molly Hatchet's "The Creeper" played from the radio. The two leaned in for a kiss. Anna slammed down on the hood of the car, her mouth bloody.

"Oh my God!" The guy shouted. They both got out of the car and rushed to Anna.

"Oh my God."

"Hey. Are you okay?" The man asked.

"We have to get her to a hospital." The man and woman help her get up and into their car. On a nearby wall was a billboard advertising Grease starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John: the movie was released on 16 June 1978.

MOTEL ROOM – NIGHT

Castiel drew a symbol in chalk on a table. Sam sat on the far bed with Sabrina and Dean paced.

"Really? Anna? I don't believe it." Dean said.

"It's true." Castiel said.

"So she's gone all Glenn Close, huh? That's awesome." Castiel straightened up, confused.

"Who's Glenn Close?" He asked. Dean walked over nearer Sam and Sabrina.

"No one, just this psycho bitch who likes to boil rabbits."

"So the plan to kill me, would it actually stop Satan?" Sam asked.

"Sammy shut up." Sabrina said giving him a look and shaking her head.

"No, Sam, come on." Dean said. Sam glanced at Dean and back at Castiel.

"Cas, what do you think? Does Anna have a point?" Sam asked. Dean looked at Castiel. Castiel glanced at him, then at Sam.

"No. She's, uh, Glenn Close." Castiel said. Sam looked down. Dean came back over to Castiel.

"I don't get it. We're looking for the chick that wants to gank Sam." Dean said. "Why poke the bear?"

"Anna will keep trying. She won't give up until Sam is dead. So we kill her first." Castiel said. Castiel poured oil into a bowl sitting on the table. "Zod ah ma ra la ee est la gi ro sa." The bowl shot red flame. Castiel stepped away from the table and leaned on the back of a chair, eyes closed and breathing heavily. The trio looked at him, worried. Castiel looked up. "I've found her."

"Where is she?" Dean asked.

"Not where. When." Castiel straightened up.

"It's nineteen seventy-eight."

"What?" Sam asked. He stood and joined Dean. "Why nineteen seventy-eight? I wasn't even born yet."

"You won't be if she kills your parents." Castiel said.

"What?" Sam asked. Castiel walked up to the brothers.

"Anna can't get to you because of me. So she's going after them."

"Take us back right now." Dean said.

"And deliver you right to Anna?" Castiel asked. "I should go alone."

"They're our parents. Cas, we're going." Dean said.

"It's not that easy." Castiel said. He walked a few steps away.

"Why not?" Sam asked.

"Time travel was difficult even with the powers of heaven at my disposal."

"Which got cut off."

"So, what, you're like a Delorean without enough plutonium?" Dean asked.

"I don't understand that reference. But I'm telling you, taking this trip, with passengers no less—" Castiel shook his head. "—it'll weaken me." Dean walked up to him

"They're our mom and dad. If we can save them, and not just from Anna... I mean if we can set things right, we have to try." Castiel shook his head.

"Well you three have fun then." Sabrina said lying back on the bed. Sam turned to her, confused. "Well I'm not going. It's bad enough for Cas to bring you two, but me as well?"

"Can't you-"

"No Sammy, I can't time travel." Aya said rolling her eyes. "That's Cassy's department. Don't worry, I'll behave while you're gone."

MOTEL ROOM – NIGHT, LATER

Ayami sat on one of the motel beds while Castiel packed a second ceramic jar—they both looked like the holy-oil jars—and his angel-killing knife in a duffle bag before he turned to face Sam and Dean.

"Ready?" Castiel asked. Sam took the bag from him and swung it up on his shoulder.

"Not really." Sam said.

"Bend your knees." Dean said. Sam ducked down a little as Castiel touched their foreheads with his fingers. Ayami sighed before smiling.

"All alone, what to do, what to do." She stood up. She started walking then stopped as she listened to Sabrina. "Hey I'm not dating him." She flinched. "I'm kidding I'm kidding, I wouldn't do that. I know I know it's your body. Sheesh." She rolled her eyes. She smirked.

MANSION – NIGHT

"Yoohoo." Ayami called as she walked with her hands behind her back.

"Aya?" Ayami grinned and ran into the next room. "What are you doing here?"

"Father Daughter bonding time." She said with a smile. Crowley chuckled. "Ooo." She walked over to where he kept his alcohol. She picked up one glass then the container of copper liquid.

"Ah ah ah." Crowley said when she picked up the container. She looked at him and frowned. "Two." He said with a smirk. She smirked back and grabbed a second glass.

The two crossroad demons sat in front of a fireplace with their glasses.

"So this is Sabrina." He looked her over.

"You upset that I couldn't work for so long?" Aya asked with a sheepish smile.

"You certainly made a comeback during those four months." Crowley smiled. "How's life with the Winchesters?"

"Certainly exciting." Aya said taking a sip of her drink.

"Where are they now?"

"1978." Crowley raised an eyebrow as he took a drink. "Time travel via Cassy." Crowley nodded.

"Have you… heard anything about Lucy at all?" Crowley looked at her.

"I'd rather you stay away from Lucy, darling." Ayami sighed with a pout. "Demons and angels don't mix, love."

"Cassy's alright." Aya said with a shrug. Crowley raised an eyebrow.

"You fancy the angel?"

"I never said that." Aya said with a chuckle. She stood and finished her drink before putting the glass down on a table.

"Leaving me already?" Crowley asked.

"I've got people to see things to do." Aya said with a smile. Crowley shook his head.

"Nice to see you haven't changed." He said with a fond smile. Aya winked with a giggle and transported herself.

MOTEL ROOM – NIGHT

"What do you say about a shower?" Aya asked allowed to Sabrina.

"Can I come?" Aya whirled around to see Lucifer leaning against the door with his arms crossed.

"Lucy." Aya forced a smile. "Hi."

"You don't look too pleased to see me." He said pushing off the door and walking up to her. He reached out and slowly stroked her cheek. "I like this body better than your old one."

"Thanks."

"It's not that I don't want to talk to you right now, Ayami," He purred her name. "But I need to talk to Sabrina." He said with a smile. Aya hesitated.

"I don't think-"

"You don't get a say." He whispered before putting his hand on her forehead. Aya's eyes widened before they closed and she started to collapse. Lucifer smirked as he caught her. Her head hung back and her hair fell like a curtain. "Wakey wakey." He said in singsong. Sabrina blinked and looked up at him. He smiled down at her and she swallowed. "Hi there." He pulled her up. She pushed against his chest to get away but he kept one arm around her and the other gripping her shoulder. "Ah ah ah."

"W-What do you want? How did you find me?"

"Oh, all I had to do was find Aya." He said. "We have a special bond you know." He tilted his head. "She would visit me often… in hell. A princess and a prince." He chuckled. "That and I may have followed you from her father's place." He said with another chuckle. Sabrina shifted uncomfortably.

"What do you want?" Sabrina kept trying to push him away. He gripped her arm tighter making her gasp.

"I have a message." He said. Sabrina swallowed.

"For who?" Sabrina asked trying to lean back. He pulled her closer and against him. He leaned down to her ear.

"You." He whispered before licking the shell of her ear. She shuttered.

"What's the message?"

"Get Sammy to say yes… or Aya goes bye bye." He said before pushing his lips against her neck.

"W-What?"

"She's the only thing keeping your from slipping into a coma, correct?"

"Y-Yeah…"

"So it's simple really. Sammy says yes or you die." He purred. "And one more thing. You don't tell the boys I was here." He said. "Got it?"

"G-Got it." Sabrina said with a small nod.

"Good girl." He said with a smirk. He pecked her lips.

"W-Wha-"

"That was for Aya." He said with a wink before touching her forehead. Everything went black.

MOTEL ROOM – DAY

"Bri." Someone shook Sabrina's shoulder. "Hey, Bri." Sabrina opened her eyes to see Sam standing over her.

"Sammy?"

"You alright?" He asked with a frown. "We got back and you were passed out on the bed."

"Yeah I'm okay?" She said sitting up. She stood and tripped on her own feet. Sam caught her by her shoulders. She let out a yelp.

"What's wrong?" Sam asked with a worried look as he let go of her shoulders.

"What happened?!" Dean asked coming into the motel room with a bag. Sabrina held her shoulder. "Sabrina." Dean put the bag on the bed and walked over to her. "What happened to your shoulder?" Dean asked with a frown.

"Nothing, I'm fine."

"Sabrina." Dean said with a stern look. He grabbed her lower arm and pulled up her sleeve. Dean glared at the large bruise. "What's this?"

"It's nothin-"

"Who did this?"

"Dean, I hit my shoulder on the door." Sabrina said. "I'm okay." She pulled her arm from his hold. "I'm fine. Where's Cas?"

"We don't know." Sam said. "We got sent back a mile from here." Sabrina sat down on the bed. Dean pulled out a bottle. Sam took plastic wrap off a pair of cups. The space between them was empty. Sam looked up into a mirror and saw Castiel behind him.

"Castiel." Sam said. Sam turned around and grabbed hold of Castiel, keeping him from falling. "Hey. Hey, hey. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa."

"Cas!" Dean hurried over and helped hold Castiel up.

"We got you." Sam said.

"You son of a bitch. You made it." Dean said.

"I...I did? I'm very surprised." Castiel said before he collapsed.

"Whoa! You're okay." Sam said.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa." Dean said. "Bed?"

"Yeah, yeah." Dean and Sam hauled Castiel to the nearest bed and laid him on it. "Well, I could use that drink now."

"Yeah." Sam said. Dean poured two drinks.

"Well...this is it."

"This is what?" Sam asked before taking a sip.

"Team Free Will. One ex-blood junkie, one dropout with six bucks to his name, a girl with a demon girl inside her and Mr. Comatose over there. It's awesome."

"It's not funny." Sam said. Dean took a drink.

"I'm not laughing." Dean said. Sam sighed.

"They all say we'll say yes."

"I know. It's getting annoying."

"What if they're right?" Sam asked. Dean took a drink.

"They're not."

"I mean, why, why would we, either of us? But...I've been weak before."

"Sam."

"Michael got Dad to say yes."

"That was different. Anna was about to kill Mom."

"And if you could save Mom...what would you say?"

I know I haven't updated this in forever. Not since June 28th, a little over 3 months.

Sorry.
