Sorry for the clustered version! Fixed :c

Yet another one person had came in and went out. And still no news of his adopted sibling returning to safety. Eren twitched, unable to stand it any longer. He would rush out himself now, he would bite his hand and save her, but darn those orders he had to follow. Darn them all.

Three or four hours had passed since their return from the expedition, though the sun is still up the sky. That long outside, alone? The chance of survival was low, but he had to believe that she would still make it out. She will survive. She is Mikasa Ackerman.

And with expectancy, there was again a knock on the door. But when he was greeted with someone he had actually been expecting, it was far a greater shock.

"Corporal!" Eren's eyes shot open, a clump of emotions mixed inside him. If the Lance Corporal is here… does that mean that news had arrived? Does it mean he could finally know of Mikasa's - and a possible few others who didn't make it back - condition?

"Don't get excited, brat. Nothing, not yet." he kept his emotionless face, spitting his words out at him. His tone was different from his usual's - quicker, more to the fact that he's… worried, uncertain, that's for sure.

Eren pushed the door, having it to open wider, then inviting the corporal in. Levi stormed in without a question, snatching the letter from Eren's hand. He stands by a corner, not caring of Eren's acknowledgement. Levi unfolds the paper, then he started reading the whole thing out.

"Dear Eren,

I thought I wouldn't have lived to see you for another day. Thank god we've both survived… and also thanks for Corporal Levi. Without him there, I wouldn't have been able to reach you. Never. I was too weak, I was unable to cut through the female titan and get you back.

Though however, it'd be extremely hard to go thank him in person, you know? He was even such a jerk to you back then… well, to say, he's corporal, but still. Anyhow, I hope you don't mind me having to present a portion of this letter to him; which will never happen.

So anyhow - Dear Corporal Levi,
Thank you for saving Eren today. I am grateful, I really am. Without you there, I wouldn't have hoped to see him ever again, not as if I didn't have my own confidence. I just became so… helpless. Helpless when I saw him being bitten and trapped into the titan's mouth. I thought he was a goner, I really lost all faith. But then… then you… thank you, corporal. Hope your leg heals soon enough.
And sorry for all the fuss I've ever given.

But when you harm Eren, I just can't stand it, you know.

Anyhow, that's about what I'm going to say. It's an informal letter, not as if it was meant to be formal in the first place anyways. Let's end this like I end it every other time-

Till then, soldier Mikasa Ackerman.

However, that did not mark the end of my letter to you, Eren. This expedition… so many things happened. In just a day. I am so confused by the events that passed through almost as like the speed of light. I can guarantee you I barely remember anything in detail, except the part where the plan was kind of messed up and everything just clashed.

Or… was that the plan the whole time?

There was a lot of changes in the midst of the battlefield, though I could see the effectiveness of it, having us making our way around the plains and avoiding long-term combat. I wasn't opposed to the fact that we're not going to engage in combat, but I… kind of felt like I wanted to do something about it. After all, these monsters were the ones who gave you an ugly past, weren't they?

Then we had to stand on trees and lure the titans. Boy, for the longest time I had to restrict my own urge to jump down there and slash a few of those creeps. But an order's an order - or rather, an order's a pain in the butt. At least, there was later.

I wasn't with Armin at that time, but I heard he said. And in case you hadn't heard of it, well, things happened. Jean's horse got lost, Armin's got a concussion, Reiner was almost squeezed to death - but thank goodness Krista was there somehow.

And they're safe now, just like us.

A lot of things happened today, right? I'm just glad we're alive to see tomorrow at this point. I thought I was a goner for sure… until corporal jumped in.

The outside was amazing, though. I can't not accept that fact. Maybe one day, when everything is over, when the titans are gone and humans gain their freedom to venture out these cages without a worry of being the prey of those monstrous beasts that have stolen our freedom.

And if that day comes… I hope I can be with you, and the rest of us all.

But till then, we'll just keep on fighting, and keep on waiting. You're already humanity's miracle, and I trust you. Just please… don't die. I'm begging you through this. Don't die on me, don't die on anybody else. Stay alive. Please, Eren…

Mikasa Ackerman."

Levi read through it whole in monotone, face still expressionless. Eren, however, upon hearing this, knelt down on the floor and unstoppable tears streamed down his face.

Don't die, she said. Stay alive, she said.

What about her? Where is she now? Did she just give up on him and go on first, without him? She's going to come back, right? She promised she'd be by me, right?

A million questions bombed Eren's mind, causing the tears to flow even faster. Levi muttered a "Tch.", throwing the paper onto the floor next to Eren. His eyes widen, hastily picking it up and looking at the corporal. He blinked a few, not understanding.

"Have a little faith in her, Jaeger." was all he said before heading towards the door, practically kicking it open and left, leaving a dumbfounded Eren behind in the cold, dark room.

(A/N: For the confused - this happens right after the expedition, during the whole female titan arc thing. Also, extra news - I'm cutting this short. Original plan was 10 chapters, but seeing how I've had this hiatus.. that has to be gone.

Inaccuracy might have happened. The last time I watched the show was on December 8th, 2013.

It's been 2 months since an update, sorry. Writer's block, or something like that. Also, might start writing for Fairy Tail too.)
