As you all must know by now, Monty Oum has passed away. I understand if you don't want to read to read this, as it is a monumentally sad topic. But, I really need to get this immense loss off my chest...

Monty Oum was a genius, a person who brought so much joy to so many people in his life. I first discovered the name Monty Oum upon finding his Dead Fantasy series. I knew right there that he was a special person. Creativity was abound in the animations he created, filling all our heads with imagination as his style of animation became quickly identifiable as his uniquely him. I knew this just from that series... Then, he created RWBY. I initially followed this series solely because his name was attached, because I knew that it would become something great. And, it did. It became a hit amongst people like me, having us following along every week. I would look forward to every episode, soaking up the entire world he had helped create. It was a major inspiration for my writing, as I had started to fall out of it a bit. But, he made it come back. He made me want to contribute to the amazing community that is RWBY.

We have all taken a big hit with his departure. All of us are feeling that punch to the gut. I could barely believe it, when I heard it. I didn't want to believe it. A man that young in his life has no right to be taken from this world so quickly. I can only offer my severe condolences to his family and to the ones who knew him personally. But, as those in Rooster Teeth have said... let us not take this time to be sad that he is gone, but to celebrate the man Monty Oum was. To celebrate his imagination and show us what we'll do with what he gave us. We stand together as a community, dedicated to his legacy.

I dedicate this story, and the ones that follow, to him. Thank you for bringing so many people together with your work and creating something so special.

RIP, Monty Oum. You will be missed, my friend.

"Wow! Look at that, Weiss!" Ruby says excitedly, pointing out of the transport and down to the rather glorious resort. "It's so pretty…"

This was quite a change to the cold snow and chilly winds of Vale, being rather sunny and warm down below. Well, the resort did house a rather nice beach, after all. Weiss did not, however, plan to be visiting said beach any time soon. For one, her skin was very sensitive to the kind of beating sun you might find on a beach and required copious amounts of creams and lotions to keep it from burning. Either that, or she just sat under an umbrella the whole time. But, that was less than favorable. From under an umbrella, she couldn't glare at people who stared at her lovable wife.

She was about to think of a second reason why she didn't intend to visit a beach when her wife of mere hours, you guessed it, noticed the beach. She couldn't help but smile, though, as the redhead's smile was brightly flashed to her.

"Look, Weiss, the beach!"

"Yes, Ruby, it was on the pamphlet, remember?"

"I… I knew that! I'm just sayin' it looks a lot cooler in person, is all. I mean, right? Look at that view! We should go there after we get our stuff all packed into the room." Ruby replies, casting a hand toward the window for Weiss to see.

The CEO looks out the window to take in the white, powdery sand of the beach down below, seeing the waves gently lapping against the coast. It was certainly a very beautiful sight to see. One that she couldn't help but feel a little excitement about, now that she had seen how enthusiastic Ruby was. She guesses that having to put her various layers of protection on would be worth it to see her wife (it felt so good to say that) speed around and have fun. Maybe part of that was also seeing the huntress in a bikini. That was always a plus.

"Hey, I can even help you put your stuff on! Y'know, your lotion an' stuff? Don't want my wifey-poo's skin to get all burned, do I?"

Alright, Weiss was sold.

"Alright, but we'll have to change first. I assume you brought all the necessary arrangements for such a trip?"

"Yup! I even got a new swimsuit, just for the occasion…" Ruby says, giving Weiss a smirk full of mischief as she leans slightly in to kiss at woman's neck. "I think you'll like it…"

Weiss gets a slow blush to her face, biting gently at her lip and pushing her wife slightly off. "You're insatiable…"

"You know it! 'Sides, how can I not be? Lookit yourself, Weiss! No wonder I'm always drooling all the time!" The huntress chirps in response, kicking her feet in her seat a little.

"Ruby, I'm wearing about the plainest clothes a person can well." Weiss says, gesturing to the simple blouse and skirt that she's wearing. "Hardly drool-inducing."

"Oh-ho, then you underestimate the drooliness of my mouth when lookin' at you, sweetie! Seriously, I think we've had this conversation before. You'd look good in anything…" Ruby says with a chuckle, leaning back into her wife with a happy hum.

"Mm. You're right, I think we have…" Weiss replies, feeling a rather romantic feeling starting to course through her body. Her wife was saying that she would always look beautiful, no matter what she dressed or looked like… It was something important to be said, creating a moment that is undoubtedly intimate… Something that you would never wish to end-

"Besides, that little Rose booty looks cute in that skirt."

And, there it goes.

"You really must stop hanging out around Yang. I'm really beginning to think that she's a bad influence on you, sister or not."

"And, you're not? Oh, Mistress of the Whipped Cream~?"

"S-Stop saying that out loud!" Weiss says, a heavy blush forming on her face. Not that she didn't mind her wife calling her mistress at some points, she just would rather the redhead not call her as such in front of people.

"Oh, who's gonna hear me? The pilot?" Ruby teases, leaning forward once again to nibble at her wife's neck once more. "I'm sooo scared~"

Weiss, who is finding her thoughts drifting faster and faster to images of eroticism and romance with every little nibble of those wonderful teeth, has to focus her mind on keeping herself from taking drastic action. Said drastic action meaning taking Ruby right here and showing her exactly what kind of mistress she could be.

Though, she imagines that it would be highly inappropriate for the pilot to come back to inform them of their arrival, only to find a very naked Ruby up against the wall of the transport. So, she can't exactly allow that to happen.

"Ruby, we're almost there…"

The redhead takes her lips off her wife's neck, her single silver eye looking vaguely out the window of the transport. "Yeah? I can see that… Your point?"

"What's my point? My point is that you're making me want to toss every article of your clothing out that very window and proceed to embarrass myself."

"Heh~ That's my job, Weiss-y… I suppose I could just stop, now… As long as you promise to continue all the fun, later…" Ruby says with a little pout, causing Weiss to laugh softly and lean forward to kiss her lips.

"Of course, I will. You can guarantee yourself of that, you dolt… I'm not going to let you get away with those nibbles without proper punishment."

"Okay!" The woman chirps, giving a happy, wet kiss in return. "So long as it's super-sexy~"

"You mean, like the time I wore your cloak and swung your weapon around a few times? You were particularly exuberant after that, as I remember…"

"Well, can you really blame me?" Ruby says, leaning to steal another few kisses. "How would you like it, if I dressed like you and started using your rapier with perfect accuracy? You'd probably be excited, too- Weiss?"

Weiss, who had been actually picturing how Ruby would look in her signature color of white and using the advanced forms and parries that were required with her weapon (and very much liking what she saw) , suddenly snaps out of it and manages a soft 'hm?' in response.

"You were totally just thinking about it, weren't you?"

"I… Maybe."

"You totally were."

"A little bit."

"A lot a bit."

"No."

"You were drooling."

"What? I was?"

"No, but now I know that you liked it a lot~" Ruby giggles, kissing her wife a few more times. These kisses are slower and more elongated, with the redhead drawing them out longer and longer.

"Ruby…" Weiss mumbles in slight warning, though offers little other resistance.

"Aw, don't worry so much, Weiss… We have time for a good make-out before we land, don't we?" Ruby whispers, a nip pressing Weiss' bottom lip.

Weiss tries to voice some manner of protest, but finds her will to do so slowly slipping away as she feels Ruby's tongue nudge against her now slightly swollen bottom lip. Her arms actually wrap gently around the huntress' neck, pulling her closer as the kiss grows more heated.

*Ahem*

The kiss breaks off with a small, wet sound as Weiss chances a look toward the sound of polite intervention. Sure enough, the pilot is standing in the doorway (one hand politely behind his back, the other covering his mouth in an awkward cough). Weiss quickly pushes Ruby off, her face alight with a massive blush.

"Erm… We've arrived, Mrs. Rose and… Mrs. Rose." The pilot says, coughing into his hand again.

Weiss' eyes widen in slight surprise at his statement, though she supposes she really shouldn't be surprised. They had been nearly there when Ruby had started working her powers of seduction, so it should be only natural they had arrived by now. Though, she has no idea how she didn't notice that the transport had landed. Damn her wife and her ability to reduce an intelligent brain to a mass of useless goo…

"Cool beans~" Ruby chirps in response, though doesn't make any motion of getting off Weiss. "Give us just a second, we'll be off…"

"As you wish." He mumbles before moving out of the room, Ruby looking back to the CEO with a grin.

"So, you ready to kick-start our honeymoon, Weiss-y?" She asks, giggling as she traces her finger in circles on Weiss' shoulder.

"After the best wedding I could have had? Of course I am… Though, I wish the pilot didn't now know how excited we are…"

"Aw, it's a honeymoon! Of course we're gonna be lovey-dovey!" Ruby replies, giving another few kisses to her wife's cheek before slipping off and standing to her feet.

Weiss can't help but raise her eyebrow as the huntress stretches a bit, her eyes looking over the black leggings that she is known for. Hard to believe that, just a few hours ago, those legs were covered with the lovely wedding dress that Yang had helped Ruby pick out. She had really done a good job, for both of them… She really had to hand it to Yang for picking out something that fit both of them and didn't look like it had been assaulted by scissors.

She'd really have to thank Yang again for that.

Of course, she would also have to praise whoever had first told Ruby that black leggings looked good on her. If had been Yang, she may even think about hugging her sister in law. Naturally, her icy eyes begin to follow the legs upward and rest upon the redhead's backside.

"And, you commented that my rear looked cute…" Weiss says, raising an eyebrow at her wife as she turns back around with a smirk.

"It does."

"Well, what does that say about yours, then?"

"Do you want to sit there and keep talking about my 'cute rear' or are you going to do somethin' about it, Miss Proper?" Ruby laughs, enjoying seeing 'typical Weiss' on display. Always so proper…

Weiss slowly gets up from her seat, brushing the wrinkles out of her skirt, and walks to Ruby. "No, I think that poor pilot has seen enough of that. We have a week to do whatever we want. The topic of your rear will likely come up again."

"Well, I look forward to that conversation- Eep!" Ruby starts, squeaking when she feels Weiss' hand deliver a cheeky swat to her behind.

"I will, too… Very much so." She whispers, giving her wife a little taste of her own medicine by dipping her voice down into a soft, seductive tone. "Come along, Ruby. We have much to do… I believe you wanted to go down to the beach?"

A small caress under Ruby's chin brings the redhead's gaze down into the smaller woman's eyes, as well as making her shiver in a way that makes Weiss smirk. "What's wrong, Ruby? You were all talk, just a moment ago…"

"I-Is this whole trip just going to be full of fragile sexual tension?" She manages to stammer out, causing Weiss' smirk to increase in wickedness.

"For you, maybe… Unfortunately, you decided it would be fun to get me all worked up. You should know better than that Ruby… For all my embarrassments and proper attitudes, we both know I'm the better master of subtlety…"

Ruby gulps a little when Weiss leans closer, nipping at her earlobe before whispering in her ear. Her cool breath is felt gently at her ear, not unlike a gentle wind on a winter's day in temperature. "Got you."

The huntress gulps again, staring at her wife with cheeks as red as her namesake. Weiss' smirk grows larger, her eyelashes fluttering in just a way to make Ruby's heart skip a few beats.

"Tease." Ruby replies with a pout (though amusement plays through her eye), causing her wife to laugh again.

"Mm. Only with you, my darling wife… Now, how about we get our bags to the room and head down to the beach?"

Weiss sighs gently as her feet touch to the white grains of sand on her bare feet, giving her pale toes a little wiggle. It certainly was a much more pleasant temperature here than where they lived, being well into winter by this time. She had to say that she was very excited about their honeymoon (even though she had made it into a personal goal to make her wife squirm throughout the week). However, she knew that she should probably get some lotion on her skin, lest she be burned to a red-skinned body filled with pain.

"Here a good spot for the umbrella?" Ruby asks, looking back at Weiss and waggling the folded object in her hand.

The huntress hadn't lied about having a very alluring swimsuit. It was a crimson red, drawing particular focus to her hips (Perhaps Weiss' favorite part of her wife's body) in the way that it hugged them so snugly. The top went down into a bit of a 'v' shape, showing off the small line of cleavage that Ruby had. Sometimes, it almost felt insulting, the way Ruby had shot up and grown in the years at Beacon. Granted, Weiss could still proudly say she was taller than Nora. However, that can only get you so much credit when your wife and sister in law practically dwarf you.

Though, her hips weren't the only thing that succeeded in drawing her attention. The swimsuit also showed of Ruby's muscles in a rather alluring fashion. Ruby had more muscles in her arms and abdominals (another favorite spot for Weiss to give attention to) from her focus on lugging around Crescent Rose. With her job as a full-time huntress, she had kept in brilliant shape… and it showed every time she showed it off.

It wasn't quite as often as she liked (as Ruby had never really been one to show off TOO much skin), but that just made every time she did even better.

"That seems like a fine spot to me, Ruby." She replies, her eyes finally rising up to meet her lover's face.

With the revealing of flesh, however, also came a revealing of the mass of scars that both of them wore like badges. Ruby had raised lines from battles past, as well as the incident with Weiss' mother. She had deep scarring where she had been stabbed twice into the stomach… It had required intensive surgery to heal and had haunted Weiss' nightmares for many nights afterward, her mind asking the sick question of what she would have done had Ruby not survived…

Though, the most obvious of them was the smooth, bleached flesh around the woman's eye and the actual pupil-less eye that saw nothing. She had gotten over seeing her lover this way for the most part, but she still couldn't help but feel guilt every time she saw only one of her beautiful eyes of silver able to look at her.

Ruby, who had put the umbrella into the sand, is having a similar problem.

When she looks back at Weiss' svelte body, she sees the scar right over the pale woman's heart. The exact moment where she was impaled on her mother's sword an unforgettable one. She feels the spots on her stomach tingling slightly as recently forgotten memories are trudged up, memories of how hard they hard fought to get what they had now.

"Th-This is ridiculous." Weiss finally mutters, walking quickly under the umbrella and taking the taller woman into her arms. "We're here to enjoy ourselves… Not to dwell on scars and that manner of idiocy."

"Eh. What can I say? I think scars are sexy." Ruby replies, leaning forward to slowly kiss her lips. "Now, get a towel down on the sand… I have to make sure you're all lotioned up, right?"

The huntress can't help but smile as a small blush comes to Weiss' cheeks, moving her hand to brush a few strands of white behind her ear. Weiss always seemed to know what to say.

"You're such a dolt."

"I know~ Now, get movin', sweetie. We gotta avoid you burning up like Yang's hair in a fight."

"Right. That would be preferable." Weiss replies with a considering nod, reaching into the bag they had brought to pull out a towel. "I really wish I didn't burn so easily… I think I would look rather nice with skin that wasn't so pale."

"Well… I would like it if you wouldn't burn so much, but… I kinda like your skin how it is, now…"

Weiss laughs a little as she places the towel down on the sand, laying on her stomach and looking back. "You DO seem to have a particular fetish for pale skin… Well, that and dress-up-"

"Spare me your words, temptress!" Ruby interrupts with an amused grin, reaching into the bag and spinning the rather expensive bottle of lotion in her hands. "Though, you DID~ look good in that maid costume."

"No, you were the one in the maid costume. I was the wealthy socialite attempting to seduce you." The pale woman reminds her, putting up her finger with her point.

"Oh, right! I had to dust the house with that feather-duster thingy…"

"And, spurned my attempts, initially."

"I like to play hard-to-get… Fraternizing with my boss could get me into a lot of trouble, y'know." Ruby chuckles, squirting a decent amount of lotion onto her hands and sitting next to her wife.

"I suppose… We'll have to try that again, sometime. I admit that it was quite enjoyable to peel all the layers of your costume off…" Weiss murmurs, her eyes closing as Ruby's hands press to her back.

The ordinarily cool lotion (to most people) merely feels ordinary on Weiss' naturally cold skin, so she more focuses on the gentle kneading of her back by Ruby's firm hands. Ruby was certainly unique in that she turned the application of lotion into an excuse to give Weiss a massage. Weiss would never complain.

Especially when the redhead's hands would move to her legs.

"We really should! Not only was it sexy, but it was a lot of fun, too!" Ruby chirps as she rubs her hands between Weiss' shoulder blades, earning a content groan from the woman. "You got really into that socialite role~"

"Miss Rose, I believe I have some work you may do… My room is rather dirty and will require a… thorough cleaning." Weiss recites, her voice dipping into a more proper-sounding tone that makes Ruby laugh.

"Alright, Miss Weiss. What would you like me to clean first? Perhaps I should give the carpet a good scrubbing?"

"You know as well as I do that there is no carpet, there…"

Ruby manages to look at Weiss with a serious expression for a moment, Weiss mirroring it as she looks over her shoulder, before they both burst into laughter.

"Ohhh, man~ You are so cute, sometimes…"

"Sometimes?"

"Well, sometimes you're sexy, too."

"Good save."

"I know."

"Are you almost finished?"

"You saying you want me to stop rubbing you?"

"No, I just want you to get started on my legs…"

"What do I look like, your maid?"

"I believe we already discussed this, Ruby. It ended with you being face-down on the bed with your aforementioned rear up in the air-"

"H-Heeey, that's not cool, Weiss! D-Don't bring that up!"

"I'm all yours, Mistress Weiss~"

Ruby blushes, giving the gently laughing Weiss a swat on the back. "I-I didn't say that. Quit makin' stuff up, Weiss."

"Ruby, I have an eidetic memory. I don't forget anything."

"What about that time I asked you to bring back cookies from the store?"

"Actually, you forgot to even tell me that you wanted them."

"Oh."

"Besides, I ended up getting them, anyway."

"I get it."

Weiss smiles before falling into a contented silence, simply enjoying the feeling of her wife kneading her back. She becomes especially content when Ruby moves down to start rubbing her legs, the soft coo that escapes her lips making Ruby laugh.

"You really like your legs rubbed, don't ya?" She says in amusement, firmly rubbing down Weiss' calves.

"Mm…" Weiss mumbles into her towel, already having melted into it from the back massage.

"I'm gonna take that as a 'yes'. Mrs. Weiss Rose loves~ her legs touched…"

"Mmf."

"Well, I got all your sunblock on!" The huntress chirps, clapping her hands together with an air of completion about her. "Unless you wanna go in the water, in which case I'll have to do your front~"

"Nice try, though I applaud the effort to embarrass me. I wasn't planning on going into the water, today." Weiss says as she lifts her head back up, her voice quiet and relaxed from the massage.

"Oh, you weren't?"

"Not today… We have a whole week to do everything there is to do, here. After how hectic everything has been, I just want to relax for a little bit. Don't you think that sounds nice?"

"Yeah, it sounds pretty good to me! Like I'm gonna say 'no' to spending time with my wife, Weiss… I'd have to be a madwoman to do that."

"Well… Then, why don't you pull up a towel and keep me company, then? I could use my Rose, over here."

Weiss is silent for a few moments as Ruby shakes her own towel out and places it next to her wife, sidling up next to her with a happy sigh. They both close their eyes content to feel the warm, salty air as it drifts over the area.

"…Perhaps we can go in the water in just a little bit."

The two women return to their room later at night, laughing and recounting what had occurred during the day. Weiss is holding a small bag of little knick-knacks, just as little souvenirs for their trip and as something of a gift to give Yang and Blake for all their help. Ruby rubs her stomach with a happy chirp, looking back at her wife with a smile.

"I can't believe all the options for cookies they had at that little dessert buffet place! There had to be thouuuusands!"

"There were only twenty different kinds, Ruby."

"Well, still~ A lot! I've only ever seen that array of cookies at The Cookie Shoppe! That was cool, though. And, you liked you were enjoying that little slice of coconut pie, missy~"

"Well, this isn't a five-star resort for nothing, after all. It was quite well-crafted and very tasty."

"Well, as good as those are, they still don't beat those cookies that you gave to me on Valentine's Day… Hm~ Remember? When we were at Beacon… We'd just gotten together and you wanted to really impress me?"

Weiss blushes, shutting the door to their room before looking slightly away. "Oh, Ruby, those things were terrible… I had never baked in my life and burned nearly half of them… For those that didn't burn, I had put them on the tray funny and they ended up all misshapen and deformed…"

"But, that didn't matter~ I ate them, didn't I?"

"You gagged."

"Okay, you're totally making that up."

"Ruby, my-"

"I know, I know, your memory~ Well, they may have been burnt, but they had somethin' different in them…"

"Really? And, what would that be?"

"Love~"

Weiss blushes, giving her wife a swift swat on the shoulder. "You are SO cheesy."

"Well, I'm the best kind of cheesy, right? 'Sides, you're the one who decided to marry this cheesy, corny lover…" Ruby says with a giggle, leaning in to kiss the blushing woman's cheek. "Does your super-duper memory remember the words 'I do'?"

"Of course I do, you dolt…" Weiss replies, rolling her eyes with a small laugh of her own. "How could I forget the two most important words in my life?"

"Ruby Rose?"

"Oh, now you're just being silly… But, yes."

Ruby moves over to sit on the bed, bouncing on it a few times before sighing contently. Her gaze slips over to her wife, a slow grin coming across her face. Her hand begins to lightly stroke the bed on the space next to her, her eyelids slowly slipping down. Weiss is placing the bag in her hand onto the ground, near the bags they had left when they had arrived earlier, when arms suddenly move snugly around her waist. The fresh smell of roses fills the air, a few petals flurrying through the air.

"You could have just walked over here, you know…"

"Well, where's the fun in that? Besides, you know as well as I do… Roses are romantic~"

"I will agree to that. But, only if they have a certain redheaded huntress to go with them… Otherwise, they would be romance without purpose…"

"You sure know how to sweet-talk a girl, Weiss." Ruby replied with a small laugh, snuggling her face into her wife's back. "No wonder you were able to get the attention of so many people."

"Oh, hush, Miss Unintentional Flirt."

"Say what, now?"

"You flirt without even knowing it, Ruby."

"I do? No, I don't… That's a Yang thing."

"What was it you said before? 'Yang rubs off on you in subtle ways?', I believe?" Weiss says, turning herself around so she can look up at the taller woman.

"Hmph. Name one time."

"I could name several occasions in intricate detail, if you like-"

"Never mind." Ruby says, pouting as Weiss begins to laugh softly at her expression. "What's so funny, there, Weiss?"

"You are simply too cute."

"Says the miniature woman currently clinging to my waist…" Ruby replies, leaning down to take the pale woman's lips gently to hers.

It was weird. When they had arrived, there had been a need to tease each other, a sort of tension that had made them want to get back to the room as quickly as possible and dive into the sheets like crazy people. But, now… Ruby was feeling much different, now having Weiss in her arms. She didn't want teasing and seducing at this moment.

She just wanted Weiss.

Weiss begins to slowly kiss back, her long lashes fluttering briefly before falling over her cheeks as her eyes close. This slow, meaningful mood seems to have spread to her, as well. The contact they had spoken of can be had another time, for now all that seems to matter is getting as close to each other as possible.

Weiss presses herself to Ruby, casting arms upward to slip around her lover's neck. It causes Ruby to stumble back a bit, spilling both of them back onto the bed. The pale woman smiles gently as she looks down at Ruby, unable to help the content sigh that that slips from her lips.

"You're still the same clumsy dolt you ever were…"

"And, you're the same posh rich girl…"

"Yeah…" Weiss murmurs, her voice suddenly sounding a bit unsteady.

She tried to. She really tried to, but it was impossible to miss at this proximity. Ruby's bleached eye not showing indications of moving in any way, not like her naturally silver one. Her earlier thoughts from down at the beach (which she had been able to push aside) are bubbling back into her consciousness, her icy eyes moving to the unnaturally smooth skin that surrounds the sightless eye. She can't help it. She can't stop the guilt that comes to her heart when the mistakes she had made were so close to her.

Ruby shouldn't have had this fate. Both her beautiful eyes should be able to look back at Weiss, shining with that innocence that she never seemed to lose- no matter what she had seen and faced in her life. If she hadn't fallen for her mother's tricks, Ruby's eye would still be there…

"You're thinking about it, aren't you? My eye?"

Weiss makes a surprised expression as her face takes a light pink takes her cheeks, completely disarmed by the simple question. "I…"

"Why does it bother you so much, Weiss?" Ruby asks softly, her hand moving up to stroke her fingers down her wife's long strands of white.

"It's… all my fault you can't see…"

"Weiss-"

"No, Ruby, don't try to tell me differently… I know that it's my fault, know it in my heart that my mistakes made this happen… I was too slow. I was too late, not smart enough to see the truth… I was ready to forgive her, Ruby. Damn it, I was ready to forgive her… I made the mistake of trying and she lived. If I had taken care of her right there… You would-"

"-be scared that the Weiss I had fallen in love with was gone…" Ruby murmurs, feeling the gentle patter of tears onto face and leaning up to kiss right over the scar on Weiss' eye. "The way you handled that is what make you who you are, Weiss… You're not your mother, ruthless and cruel… Willing to do whatever furthers her goal… You're Weiss. You're sweet and loving… You have a bigger heart than you like to let on, but when you show it… It only makes everyone realize what a good person you are… C'mere…"

Ruby pulls Weiss' small frame closer to her, pressing her gently into a position that she can look right into the woman's eyes. "You showed compassion, giving the chance for forgiveness. It was her own fault that she didn't take it, her own fault that this was caused. Now, she will never be forgiven. Neither of them will be. Weiss… This isn't your fault and never will be. I don't blame you for what happened. Not for one second."

"B-But-"

"Shh…" Ruby murmurs, leaning up to gently kiss her quivering wife. "Nothing is your fault, Weiss… None of what happened matters, anymore… All that matters, right now, is you and me. We have what we fought so long to get… I'm proud to call you my wife. I'm proud of what you've come to be… I have no regrets."

Weiss finds herself kissing back, the soft tears slipping slowly down her cheeks.

It all seemed to be like the best kind of dream as clothing was slowly shed, each article being delicately taken off as if it were the most fragile of ornaments. She doesn't recall when exactly skin touched skin, but she does remember the feeling of needing to show Ruby what her words had meant to her. She needed to make sure that Ruby knew exactly how much she had done for her in her life.

This wasn't a flurry of lust, there were no loud moans or extra additives. No, this union allowed soft gasps and touches so gentle that they may have well been made of feathers. This was two individuals who had fought to stay together, now able to come together as one and show the place they held in each other's hearts.

Ruby showed Weiss, and Weiss showed Ruby.

The soft sounds of bliss are accompanied by whispers of their lover's name, skin taking a thin layer of sweat and a healthy flush of pink as they move against each other. They kept going, instigating touches and bringing each other to the edge and over as long as the touch still brought pleasure.

They didn't know how much time was passing, nor did they notice as the evening slowly turned to night. Weiss hadn't even realized that she had fallen asleep until she found herself stirring a few hours later, gently wiping the sleep from her eyes as she looked over to her wife.

Ruby is sleeping soundly, the sound of her snoring making Weiss laugh gently. Her pale fingers move to gently stroke through the darkened red of the huntress' hair, a soft smile coming to her lips as she feels the peace coming over her being.

Ruby seemed to have a habit of making her feel that way.

"I love you, my Rose…" She whispers, pressing her lips gently to the slightly parted ones of the woman who has brought her so much happiness in her life. "My heart is forever yours…"

She slowly lays back down, moving closer to Ruby and wrapping her arms around the redhead's bare waist. She moves as close as she can, not making any movements that might wake her up. This was easily the happiest she had ever been. She had thought about getting up, but… There are few enough moments like this in life, so she wanted this particular moment to go on for as long as she could make it.

Whatever happened next, she knew one thing…

She would be forever by Ruby's side.

And, there was no question about that.

End.

I'll be posting the sequel right after this, so look out for it, if you have the time! Thank you to all the people who have followed this story from the beginning. It means a lot to me.
