I've been having really bad writers block lately, so here's a fluffy one-shot! Okay, basically I have this headcanon that Angel is Casey's little sister in TMNT 2k12 series. We'll probably never no, but I needed to get this idea out of my head. Enjoy!
Disclaimer: I do not own TMNT
It was late in the night as Casey Jones opened the door of his home, an apartment he shared with his dad and younger sister. Patrolling with the turtles lasted longer than he'd thought. Closing the squeaky door ever so gently, he made his way down the long hallway, silently praying that his father wouldn't wake up. He was just about to reach his door when he heard movement coming from his sister's room. He carefully opened the door, exposing the empty room of the fourteen year old girl. He stood confused and was about to leave when he heard another sound. Crying. He walked over to the window and opened it slowly. Stepping out onto the balcony, he saw his sister sitting alone, her head down and knees pressed against her chest.
"You okay, Angel?" he asked, obviously startling her.
"Casey! Jeez...I- uh, yeah I'm fine." she replied, wiping away her tears.
Now, Casey might be failing trigonometry, but he's not an idiot.
"I like your hair." he said, pointing to the violet tresses that fell over her shoulders, "Purple's a good color on you."
"Really?" she squeaked in surprise, grasping her ringlets.
"Yeah." he smiled and leaned back.
They stared up at the New York skyline, enjoying the company of one another.
"All the girls at school called me a freak and said I was ugly..." she mumbled.
Casey's heart dropped and his fist clenched.
She was just trying express herself, what's wrong with that?
"They're wrong." he stated affirmatively.
"What?" she muttered.
He turned to face the young girl.
"It's not true. What those kids said, they're wrong." he replied, "You're fun and really cool. And you're beautiful."
"Casey..." she began as tears threatened to escape her eyes.
"No. Listen, this is my fault. I haven't been the same ever since mom...y'know." he said, choking up at the mention of his mother's death, "And I'm sorry. I wasn't there when you needed me. I'm so sorry, Angel."
She stared at her brother as tears rolled down her face. And in the blink of an eye she had her arms around the boy, squeezing him in a tight hug.
"Thank you, Casey." she whispered, "For everything."
He smiled and hugged back, "No problem, sis."
THE END
Awww, I just gave myself feels! But seriously, I think it was really cute and way worth my time. It's short, but sweet. Don't be shy, leave a review and tell me what you think!
