Wedding Bells were ringing ***
Mamoru, nervously awaiting his beautiful bride at the white alter. It was a scenic and well lit cathedral
against the sunset/dusky sky. The doors of the church were wide open and the pews were all filled.
'I can't believe we made it this far, my beautiful bride Usako.'
He smiled, an excited grin on his face awaiting the arrival of his love. He felt a little bit nervous as well. All eyes were on him now until she arrived. They chose to get married inside a charming looking church close by nature and the mountains, just outside of Juuban. It was also the Fall Season in Japan; November where the colors are all vibrant and the air crisp-they couldn't have chosen a more perfect time to get married with the witness of friends and family.
He wore a classic black tuxedo with a red rose, fit for a real prince. His hair slicked slightly back, and his alabaster smooth pale skin contrasted against his dark hair and suit. Eyes their classic blue, piercing and everyone in the crowd waited with their prince for their princess.
All of the inner and outer scouts were present including Hotaru. Minako, Ami, Rei, and Makoto were all bridesmaids for Usagi while the outers sat in front. Usagi's family was present as well as some school mates of both of theirs which included: Naru, Umino, Andrew, his sister, and his new fiancé Reika. Almost everyone they've known over the years (including the remaining black moon family) were present. Luna was in her human form as well as Artemis. Both looked stunning, Artemis in his classic regal white suit and Luna in her classic yellow and black dress, cheerful and so happy for their soon to be wed lieges. The inners also wore their own respective colors—orange, red, blue, and green awaiting for Usagi by the alter on stage so she can take her place. All four looked so bright and vivacious which complimented their future queen. Usagi wasn't too picky about bridesmaid dresses and they all looked breathtaking as if they themselves were getting wed.
The Outers—Michuru, Haruka, and Setsuna wore stylish and classy dresses as always, most of which showed off their flawless long legs. Michuru's make up impeccable as always and Haruka looked so suave wearing a white suit. Setsuna in a black bridesmaid styled dress looking very model-esque.
As for Mamoru's side, aside from Andrew and his group, he also invited some school friends and professors he was close to. Usagi also invited some of her long time teachers – Ms. Haruna included.
Usagi's mom—Ikuko was in tears awaiting the arrival of her daughter in the front row as Matron of Honor. Her dad and Shingo close by as well as a few more relatives of hers.
Mamoru anxiously glanced at his watch: a quarter to six.
'Late as always, Usako' he chuckled and then held his breath.
She had just arrived in a limo, and as soon as the driver opened the door, the bridegroom couldn't take in a more breathtaking sight. Her leg came out against a gorgeous white dress, together with white heels. She stepped out looking like a true princess, a true queen for that matter and coincidentally wore a heart shaped tiara with a pink crystal in the middle.
Everyone -mostly the inner and outer scouts as well gasped at the vision. She wore a princess style dress , tight bodice and overflowing skirt, with lace trimmings. White roses were trimmed around her shoulders so it wasn't completely strapless. The dress had a silvery sheen to it, and the fabric was absolute perfection. She wore a translucent veil connected to her tiara, very fitting for Usagi, with white roses framing the top. Her golden hair was up, still in odango's, but hair wrapped around them, with a few wavystrands framing the sides of her face. She was the most beautiful bride they've all have ever seen- innocent, pure, and beautiful and appealing all at the same time.
Usagi
All eyes on me now, showtime. I stepped out of the car and towards the open doors of the church trying not to freak out. My veil and dress was manageable to walk around I just had to focus on getting to him.
I walked up the stairs hearing voices, and gasping, seeing all of my family and friends and wanting to cry right then and there. Then I him, staring at me with those piercing beautiful blue eyes I love so much , feeling like it's the first time we're meeting all over again. With courage and a few deep breaths I walked as we practiced prior at a good pace. Some of my guests throwing flowers and confetti , I couldn't help but stare at my prince as I walked down this seemingly endless aisle. He looked so handsome and breathtaking , wearing a tux fit for a King.
Looking back now I'm so glad we waited, even if it meant not seeing eacho ther alone for about a week in a half. It was so incredibly hard, but well worth the wait. My friends looked so beautiful too, I could see them all grinning and clapping.
They were so happy for me…my best of friends, I looked to my right suddenly and saw Haruka wink playfully at me and Michuru and Setsuna smiling and laughing cheering for me. It was surely one of the happiest moments of my entire life.
Sharing this moment with his friends and mine , my family with him, we will finally be united as one both mind, body, and spirit.
They say you only have one soul mate for a lifetime and it may happens once maybe two times in your entire life. The thing with me and Mamoru—we've been eachothers soulmates over lifetimes and it's safe to say for eternity. We were born for each other and born to be together, two stars made for one another
Love unconditional and at times sacrificial (we both died for eachother in this life and our past one).
I couldn't wait to finally be reunited with him in body this time too, it finally felt more right then ever. I took my place next to my prince, awaiting the priest. I snuck a glance at him and saw that he looked like he was about to cry, his eyes looked glassy, not yet shedding tears he looked at me to the left at him and I've never seen such intense desire or want from just his eyes alone in my life. His eyes looked darker, stormy his breathing a bit unsteady as he mouthed
"You look so beautiful", and just as quickly glanced back at the priest as he started talking.
We repeated our vows.
"I take you Mamoru Chiba as my lawfully wedded husband, to love and to hold both in sickness and in health for the rest of my life. Until death do us part. I do."
" I take you Usagi Tsukino, as my lawfully wedded wife, to love, to hold, and to take care of both in sickness and in health for the rest of my life. Until death do us part. I do."
The whole wedding vow ceremony lasted about 30 minutes which included the ring exchange, the final pronouncement, a few readings and words of welcome and our individual vows. It felt more real than ever and looking at this handsome man who was now my husband…it felt like I finally belonged and that I'm completed.
"You may kiss the bride", the dear priest finally announced. Mamoru lifted my light see through veil and looked down on me with adoring eyes. Even though I wore 5 ½-6 inch heels I was still much shorter than he was. My heart raced as it usually does and he slowly inched his way towards my lips.
I felt like I was being kissed by a handsome prince, and a soon to be King. His lips pressed against mine and the fireworks started.
We heard cheering and clapping and tons of congratulations and bells ringing. We heard the cathedral doors flying open and people making way for us.
Lips still locked against his softly and sweetly, I felt like I was melting, and that this wasn't real, that this must've been one of my many dreams of us getting married...only this time it wasn't tragic…it was almost perfect…
