The streets were filled with snow. The bundles of snow that lay near the buildings were lifeless. The air was filled with death. We trudged along in the snow. Kiyoteru led in front, and Gakupo followed in the back. I rubbed my arms trying to keep warm. The girl we picked up earlier shivered as she walked along. He name is Mamiko. Apparently, her brother was taken away… I glanced at Kiyoteru and Gakupo. They were not shivering whatsoever.

"Are we almost there yet?" Mamiko complained. She stuttered, "It's so cold!"

Kiyoteru stopped and turned around. He walked towards us, "here," Kiyoteru took off his jacket and gave it to Mamiko.

"Kiyoteru-" Gakupo started.

"I'll be fine," Kiyoteru answered. He turned back around and started off, "let's hurry."

Mamiko seemed happy. She hugged herself, warming herself up with Kiyoteru's furry jacket. I stared in envy. Being all spoiled… she should be grateful! I pouted. We walked for a long time. Mamiko would keep complaining and I thought she was never going to be quite. I snapped at her a few times, but I was always scolded by Kiyoteru after. I rubbed my eyes to get a better view, "mm?"

I squinted towards a square shadow in the distance, "oi, I see something!"

"What is it?" Gakupo asked.

"A… house?"

"He's right. I see it as well. He wasn't hallucinating," Kiyoteru looked back.

"'Hallucinating?!' Why would I!" I snapped.

"Then let's go!" Mamiko ran forward, "there better be food, fire, and a bed!"

"Mamiko!" Gakupo tried stopping her, but the snow slowed him down. "Tch, that girl!"

We ran after Mamiko, calling out to her over and over again, but she wouldn't come back. She ran into the house, thinking of nothing. I panted with my hands on my knees, "finally… here…" I looked up at the large double doors in front of us. "That brat ran in here? Without knocking?"

"It seems the residents allow her in there," Kiyoteru looked into the window.

"What should we do? Leave her?" Gakupo asked.

"Well…" Kiyoteru thought.

"Just leave her…" I steadied myself, "we tried to stop her already."

"We're going in," Gakupo ordered.

"Eh?! In this creepy place?!" I pressed my hands on my cheeks in shock.

Gakupo knocked on the door. Kiyoteru stepped forward, "wait, Gakupo, I'm fine!"

"Don't act all strong and mighty with me! We're both the same!" Gakupo snapped.

Kiyoteru grabbed Gakupo's wrist, "I said I'm fine! Let's just leave!"

Gakupo grabbed Kiyoteru's shirt and pulled it open, "you call 'this' alright?!"

"Kyaa!" I covered my eyes. I slowly peaked. My eyes widened, "wha…"

Kiyoteru's chest was almost completely covered in ice. Gakupo removed Kiyoteru's shirt, showing his frozen right arm.

I panicked, "why! What's happening?"

"We're going in… to get you warmed up, and to get your jacket back," Gakupo knocked of the door again.

Kiyoteru fixed his shirt silently. The door opened and a young lady walked out, "oh? Even more travelers?" She looked at me for a while, "come in, come in. I'll give you some hot coco."

"Sorry for intruding," Gakupo walked in. We both followed after him. The house was filled with warmth. Too much warmth… I glanced around to see if there was anything weird going on. Everything seemed normal.

"Sit, I'll get you some hot coco," the lady smiled at me.

I stuck to Gakupo and Kiyoteru silently. She keeps looking at me… The lady walked back to us with a tray with three cups of hot coco. She held out the tray to us, "here, take one. It's not poisoned or anything, don't worry!" She laughed.

She looked like a normal person as well. I stared at the wonderful-smelling coco, should I take one? I looked at Kiyoteru and Gakupo. They only glared at the lady. She set the tray down and gave me one directly, "you look like the one most affected. Please, drink this. It will make you feel much better!"

"Ah…" I panicked. Gakupo, Kiyoteru-san, do something!

Gakupo grabbed the lady's wrist, "stop flirting with your prey."

Prey?! The lady laughed, "when did you find out?"

"The first time we saw your ugly appearance," Kiyoteru added.

The lady growled at him. She shook off Gakupo's hand and clapped her hands twice. The house began changing. The chairs and fireplace disappeared. The room went dark. I felt Gakupo grab my arm, "grab onto Kiyoteru and I, and do not let go."

I quickly grabbed onto Kiyoteru, what's going on? Lights suddenly turned on farther out in a row. The lady stood in the middle. She smiled at us, "welcome… to my haunted death game!"

"Game?" I repeated.

The lady grinned, "say goodbye… to your dear friends."

"Yuma!" Gakupo yelled.

I felt the floor collapse under me, "Gakupo! Kiyoteru!"

I kept falling for a long time. When will I stop? I looked behind me, I saw nothing, but darkness.

"Sleep, boy," I felt someone's hand cover my eyes. This voice...

"Where are they?" I growled.

The lady smiled at me, "maybe dead?"

"Tell me!" I snapped. All I could remember was falling into abyss. Now I was here, in a room, tied to a chair.

"You don't need to know. After all, you're going to die before you even find out."

I glared at the lady, "what are you planning to do?"

She turned and walked towards me with a syringe, "I want to add some spice to my meal."

"Meal?" I gritted my teeth, "a cannibal?"

"Not exactly," she smiled, putting her knee in between my legs and leaning close to me, "a monster, to be more… correct."

"I'm not human," I added.

She brushed my shirt down, revealing my bare chest, "that is correct."

I gulped as she brought the syringe close to my chest, "so?"

"I do prefer humans, but out of the three, you were the most human," She touched my face.

"What about the first girl who came in?" I closed my eyes.

"A girl?" The lady thought for a bit, "I don't recall."

"Is that so…" We came in here for nothing? I glanced around to find something to help me get away.

"Now, now, enough talking. I'm becoming hungry," the lady pressed the needle into my chest near my heart.

"Hgn!"

"Painful isn't it? Now… let's let the spices flow in~"

I felt her push the needle in deeper, "ah!" I looked down at the syringe. She was now pushing the liquid inside. The amount of pain increased, "aargh!" What is she putting in me?! I struggled in the chair, trying to escape. Where is my sword? Dammit!

She finally pulled out the needle and laughed, "how adorable."

I froze. What is this… I can't move… "w-what did you do?"

"It's going to be hard to eat you if you struggle," the lady smirked. "Don't worry, i'll make it quick… and painless."

If only I had my sword… I could do something… I closed my eyes tightly. I heard Gakupo's voice, "Yuma!"

"How?! They managed to find this place already?" The lady stood up.

I felt my legs regaining control. This is my chance! I pushed myself up, slamming against the lady. I rolled towards the door, "Gakupo!"

"You!" The lady charged at me.

The door rattled. Hurry up! A heel struck down in front of my face. I jolted away, "ah!" She almost got me! I used my legs to push away. The rest of my body was still affected by the 'spice' she injected into me. "Gakupo!" I yelled.

The door burst open and smoke filled the room. Kiyoteru called out, "Yuma!"

"Here!" I hollered. I couldn't see anything, should I try to find the door? "Kiyoteru-san?" I smiled as I saw a figure in the smoke. "Kiyoteru-san?" I repeated.

"Yuma? Where are you?" I heard Kiyoteru's voice behind me.

Behind… Then who is this? No way… I totally just called out to the enemy! I struggled to get away. The figure became clear, the lady smirked at me, "I found you~ My little lost sheep!" She held out a gun and pulled the trigger.

I shut my eyes tightly. I'm done for… I can't move, I don't have my sword… Kaito! I heard the gunshot, but felt no pain. I slowly opened my eyes, "Ga- Gakupo!"

"Shut up… I'm fine!" Gakupo unsheathed his sword and stabbed the lady, "I never expected… that I would meet you here…" He twisted his sword and cut through her side. She screamed in pain.

Kiyoteru finally found us, "Yuma, are you alright?"

Gakupo limped over the lady who was still trying to get up. I gulped, "my sword…" I have to help him…

Kiyoteru argued, "he'll be fine! I have to get you out of here!"

"No! She has a gun! He already got shot! I have to help!"

"I can't allow that! Haven't you noticed?" Kiyoteru grabbed my shoulders, "the gas is poison! It won't affect Gakupo or I, but it will eventually affect you!"

"I don't care! I have to-!" I began coughing. I leaned against Kiyoteru and pushed myself up, "give me my sword!"

"Get away, Yuma!" Gakupo yelled at me.

"But!" I stumbled around. Kiyoteru picked me up and hung me over his shoulder. I snapped, "Kiyoteru-san!"

"Kiyoteru… once you're far enough… get rid of this house," Gakupo ordered.

Kiyoteru flinched, "understood." He ran out the door.

I tried to free myself from Kiyoteru. What did he mean by getting rid of the house?! Kiyoteru kicked open the door and ran out of the house. The cold air blew at my face. I shivered feeling it flow under my clothing. I saw Mamiko waiting for us in the snow. Kiyoteru threw me at her and covered both of us with his body, "Yuma… close your eyes…"

"Eh?" I attempted to get up. Mamiko covered my eyes. I heard an explosion. Kiyoteru got up and pushed both of us.

"Walk!" He ordered.

Mamiko held my hand and led me where Kiyoteru pushed us. I stared at Mamiko, "why… are you crying?"

Kiyoteru hustled us away, "keep going!"

I saw fire in the corner of my eye, "fire…" I looked back at the house. My eyes widened, "... fire…" The house was in flames. The wooden planks fell and crumbled. Gakupo… he's still inside! "Gakupo!" I quickly turned around. I can still make it! I have to help him!

"Watch out!" Kiyoteru pulled me towards him. Something flew out of the house and landed in the snow near us. I felt Kiyoteru hold onto me tighter. What did he see? I looked over. Kiyoteru muttered, "Gakupo…"

I stared at the bloody sword that plunged into the snow. The blade was cracked and worn out. I fell to my knees, "Gakupo?"

A/N: So... It's kinda Halloween themed...

... I ment for it to be short n' funny... but then I decided to listen to emotional music... and this happened.
