A/N: A drabble I wrote on Tumblr. First time I've written Sastiel. Happy Valentine's Day!

Sam sat at the research table in the bunker reading a book he'd found on possession. Cas was gone when he woke up, which was both strange and not. He'd been constantly hovering ever since the failed summoning with the grace, but Cas wasn't exactly one to stay in one place for too long, especially now that he got his mojo back.

So when Sam woke to find the bunker empty he shrugged it off and found a book to read.

Several short chapters later Sam looked up to find Cas standing awkwardly stiff, unable to decide which part of Sam's face to focus on. He pulled a heart-shaped box of chocolates out of his newly replaced coat and held them out to him.

"I am given to understand that on this day people give pieces of chocolate encased in boxes shaped like hearts. Although I could not find a box shaped like an actual human heart I hope this is an acceptable alternative."

Cas looked down at the box in his extended hand while Sam gingerly took it. "This is customary, correct?"

Sam smiled and huffed a small laugh. "Yeah, Cas, it's customary. Valentine's Day. But you should know these boxes are heart shaped. Just not anatomically correct." He lay the box of chocolates down on the table and stepped toward Cas. "It's a more socially acceptable form of a heart so people don't feel creeped out by getting something that resembles an actual piece of anatomy."

Cas still looked uncomfortably unsure. It was incredibly adorable and Sam couldn't help but kiss him. It was short and sweet and left the angel blushing. "Thanks Cas."

"You are welcome, Sam."

"Happy Valentine's Day."

"Yes. It is."
