A/N: just a little one-shot to celebrate the day :)

Hermione woke up to the strangest thing ever. A white rose, lay on her pillow with a note. Curious, she picked up the folded paper and began reading:
My friend lies in the place you cherish above all else.
Intrigued, she tossed off her covers, and made her way down the hallway, down the stairs and into the library. Not sure what to expect, she made a slow search around the room. First the shelves, then the books... to the lone plush cushion by the fireplace. A second white rose and another note.
Our scars make us know that our past was for real.
She read it over three times, before her brain clicked. It was a quote from her favourite book, Pride and Prejudice.
She went over to the stacks of books, her eyes constantly searching until she saw the familiar spine. It was sticking out from all the others in line, making it that much easier for her to pull it out.
A rose been used as a bookmark, a pink one this time, where opening the book, she could find the quote easily. A small smile played on her lips as she picked up the rose to sniff it, and spotted the lone key tied loosely around the stem, and yet another note.
I open only one thing.
Setting the book down, Hermione inspected the key more closely. Why, it's the key to her desk drawer!
Nearly sprinting down the hallway once more, Hermione arrived to her study and her desk in exactly ten seconds. Kneeling down she used her key and opened the bottom drawer.
Another pink rose, accompanied with a tiny velvet blue jewellery box. Opening it carefully, she saw the tiny, folded note inside.
One of the happiest moments of your life, yes?
Almost immediately she looked out the window, watching as the snowflakes cascading down like confetti. Curses for leaving her wand in her room! Bolting down the hallway and yet another set of stairs, Hermione arrived in the front foyer. Tossed on her thick coat and made her way out in the back garden, toward the gazebo, with all four roses in her hand.
Her fifth rose lay in the centre on the floor. A red one, with a note. Kneeling down she carefully opened the paper, reading the two words.
Look up.
There he stood, clad only in his pajama bottoms and holding yet another red rose.
"Happy sixth anniversary love," he extends his hand, offering her the flower.
Eyes twinkling Hermione got to her feet, threw her arms around his neck and captured his lips in a deep, passionate kiss. After a good ten or so seconds, Hermione broke off the kiss and rested her forehead against his.
"It's Valentine's Day." she murmured, breathing in his scent and relishing the heat from his skin; obviously from a Heating Charm.
Draco chuckled softly, holding her tight. "Yes, well that too."
Hermione hummed in agreement, "A marvelous way to wake up, thank you." She gave him a chaste kiss before tucking back to her previous position, under his chin.
"See?" He said his lips brushing against her temple, "And you say I'm never romantic."

E/N: aww that made me smile.
Quote mentioned belongs to the respective author. I never read the book, but figured it is an easy choice to use in this little drabble :)
Thanks for reading!
