AN: Hi! I'm not dead xD I've been having a REALLY REALLY bad case of writer's block recently and I have been using my spare time to catch up on TV shows and read books and such and not so much writing...sorry! But to prove that I am still breathing, here's a (very) short little one-shot. Takes place during the episode "Schooled". I hope you enjoy!

That talk with Clark had concluded with less than perfect results. Right after he had left, Bruce decided to do the same as the Boy Scout and have his desert to-go. There was no point in him continuing his stay at the diner. Besides, he needed to monitor the team.

To be honest, he didn't know why Clark was acting so distant from Superboy. Well—not that he didn't know why, it was more along the lines of he could not understand how he was feeling. If Bruce woke up one day to discover that Cadmus had made a miniaturized Batman clone...he honestly didn't know how he would react, but he already had his own fair share of experience with children.

Also to be honest…he would be more worried about Robin's reaction.

Who knows, but Robin was his protégé—so maybe in a way he was (or becoming to be) a mini Batman, but no matter how many times he put the facts together he was not able to properly put himself in Clark's predicament.

"No! He needs… you. I'm just a reminder of what he's not."

But that still gives him no right to behave like that with the boy.

All these thoughts ran through his mind as he picked up his Devil's Food in a take home box and paid for it. He also thought about what Dick was doing: With Superboy

And speak of the devil—that was when he received Robin's message about Amazo and Dr. Ivo being in Gotham City tearing up Gotham Academy.

Dammit, I'm obligated to pay for repairs…

Batman and Robin zeta beamed back to the cave.

He then noticed a little white shopping bag sitting on the counter next to the bat-computer. "What's that?" he asked.

Batman sat down in the computer chair to document the events of what went down that evening. He looked up and eyed the bag. "Devil's food." he answered as he pulled back the cowl.

Robin raised an eyebrow as he observed the bag. "This is from Bibbo's Diner" he said as a smile sprouted from his face upon realization. "Did you go out and get cake while I was working?"

Batman remained silent as he continued archiving and let out a sigh. "For reasons." Bruce responded.

Dick began giggling. "This is what you do on the job? Go and have deserts with your fellow Justice League coworkers?"

Am I being scolded by my own kid?

"Just Superman."

At this point, Dick had to remove his mask because he was laughing so hard. He wiped a tear from his eyes as he imagined the thought of Batman having lunch in a diner while he was the one doing work. "What reason could there be for you and Superman to go have lunch during a mission?!"

"Do you want the cake or not?"

"You know that I'm going to take it anyways." The boy responded as he took out the desert. He broke off a piece with his fingers and dropped it into his mouth. "But I'll share your leftovers with you." He took out a birdirang and sliced the desert down the middle perfectly and set one half in the box and placed it next to the keyboard. "Sharing is caring."

"Thank you for being considerate of sharing my own food with me."

"Good God, he made a joke." Dick laughed as he took another bite.

"Be quiet."

"Yes, sir."

AN: 20 internet cookies to those who caught the Red Hood reference! (from the comics. It wasn't used in the movie.) I'll try to have something up soon, but it'll still be quite a while till you hear from me again. K BYE
