CHAPTER FORTY-EIGHT: Okay, So I Lied...

Ha, alright this is the for real last chapter. The reason I'm making this is... Well you'll see why at the end. This is an Amuto chapter that is placed after the Amuto ending (last chapter). And that is simply because Amuto is the best lol sorry. Thanks for reading and reviewing, you can always leave requests for me to make a whole new story on any couple you'd like. Amu's POV~~

My stomach was doing cartwheels and I was desperately trying to convince myself to turn around, knowing exactly how this was going to end. But, I felt his hand in mine, and I looked up at him, with his dark hair and dark eyes. And he did something he rarely ever does, he smiled and then it was okay. Everything was okay.

I stood in front of the front door and took a deep breathe. Then I opened it and walked in. "Hi mom." I said without letting go if Ikuto's hand. She looked from me to Ikuto, to our hands and then smiled. "Mom, this is Ikuto. He's my boyfriend." The word boyfriend was weird to say. It felt new. It felt good.

We were all in the living room. Ikuto an I across from my mother and father.

"Well I think it's a great idea!"

My father gasped. "How could you even say that?! She's not allowed to have a boyfriend!" He turned to me.

"No Amu your my little girl. You can't, you can't, you can't. How old is he? Where does he live? What are his grades like? What's his blood type?..."

My dad went on and on but we all ignored him. My mother smiled at us.

"Ikuto, I will allow you date my daughter as long as you promise me you will treat her right."

And for the first time since arriving, Ikuto spoke. "Mrs. Hinamori. I love your daughter with no exception. She taught me things and I will gladly protect her. So I promise you with no hesitation, to treat her perfectly, and to love her forever."

I smiled and so did my mom. "Well then, you have one more family member to meet. She stood up and opened the door to Ami's room. Ami ran up to me. And then saw Ikuto. She laughed and got on my lap saying "cat boy!" I grinned. Ikuto waved at Ami.

"That went better than I thought it was going to go." I said as we walked down the street. He smirked at me. "What?"

And then we were in an alley way.

"Ikuto!" I laughed. He was still holding my hand.

"Old habits are hard to break..." He said.

He put his lips on mine and we kissed. This was right. I loved Ikuto.

I occasionally did think about what would've happened if I chose the other two. But I don't think it would've worked. Kukai still won't go out with anyone, determined that Ikuto and I will break up. That causes lots of fights between him and Ikuto. And Nagihiko told me that he was happy for me, and he would always be there, but he's dating Rima now and I think it's really going to work.

We got back into school and sat down for a guardian meeting. Kukai threw his arm around me and Ikuto started freaking out. Nagihiko and Rima were cutting things out of a magazine. I smiled. This was perfect.
