"Is there a reason why I needed a hat too?" Haruhi mumbled, her voice low and bored as she tugged at the side of the light brown straw fedora that was slammed on her head just a few minutes ago. She questioned the rest of her outfit, but every time she complained, Kaoru would just flick her in the forehead.

"Quit complaining, if you would have gone to school earlier today, and had gotten dressed like a normal person by yourself, than I wouldn't have had to put you in that."

"More like forced into." Haruhi corrected, trying to wiggle her wrist free from her friends grasp, but every time she would, Kaoru would tighten his hold.

He hadn't let her go since they stepped out the limo when they got to Adoky shopping mall. She was forced into the back of the long car, and was thrown a brand-new outfit complete with shoes and as embarrassed as she was changing in a car, with only a slidable black window between her and a boy, she just went along with it.

Even now, being there, Kaoru still hadn't told her what they were doing, or what who they were meeting, or why they had such a low amount of time to get there. He seemed to be serious about it, what ever 'it' was.

"These shoes are uncomfortable." Haruhi whined, taking a glance to the left where she saw a sale on frozen fish, 'two for one', causing her to halt in her tracks.

Ignoring her complaint, Kaoru rolled his eyes and pulled her towards the middle of the building, until he suddenly felt his capture victim stop, causing his body to jerk back.

"What now?" he muttered, looking back at her with his eyes narrowed irritably. "Look, we can shop and hang out here in a little while, but right now we need to get the important things done first."

"Kidnapping, now I'm being taken somewhere against my will," she sighed, being led away from an awesome deal. "Don't you guy's know that, that's against the law?"

"Yes, in some ways, but we're both under eighteen, and its for a good cause." Kaoru grinned, stopping for a moment to loke where they were go, to get to the cute little fountain.

Because what's more romantic than a fountain?

Biting his lips, Kaoru muttered the time that he saw on his watch and pulled her wrist enough to get her in front of him, and grabbed her shoulders, continuing to push her. "I wonder if he's here yet."

"Who?" Haruhi scowled, trying to get him to say something to her as he guide her around, tripping on her sandals a few times, "Who are we meeting here Kaoru? it isn't anyone from the host club is it?" She whined, not really wanting to deal with her friends today.

"Well," Kaoru hesitated, sucking in his lips as he looked around for the escalator that he knew was near the fountain they were suppose to meet at. "I mean... It's someone from my house."

"Your house?" She huffed, narrowing her eyes suspiciously, looking at small drink stand, remembering her Kaoru and Hikaru going up there and buying a bunch of strange drinks one time a few months ago.. Having Hikaru trying to share a drink with her, the memory made a small blush appear on her face.

"Anyway," Kaoru murmured looking over his shoulder, not knowing whether he wanted to get there before his brother, or a little after. Trying to figure out what would be more romantic in a way. "Hmm... My watch went off, it's okay though, haven't seen Hikaru yet, should have known, he's terrible at keeping track of time."

"Wait, Hikaru?" Haruhi halted immediately, her heels pressed harshly to the tile not allowing him to push her anymore. "You didn't say we were meeting him here."

"Well jeez Haruhi, I though it would have ben obvious at this point," Kaoru sweat dropped, rolling his eyes as he shoved the brunette gently enough not to shove her to the ground, but hard enough to get her moving again. "Don't tell me you don't want to?"

"I don't want to," Haruhi assured, turning her body around, getting Kaoru's hands off her shoulders, walking the other way. "I'm going back home."

"Not your not," Kaoru scowled, jogging back over to her and gripped her hand, "We're here trying to get this worked out, can't do that if you go back and cry in your room some more."

"I wasn't crying!" Haruhi retorted stubbornly. "Don't barge into peoples bedroom without permission."

"Yeah, yeah," Kaoru rolled his eyes, pulling her around to where they were originally heading. "You should know better than to fake an illness." He sighed, even if he faked illnesses all the time.

"I wasn't faking an illness, you don't know whether I'm sick or not," she muttered irritably, glaring towards the closest wall, "Why are you so dead set on me seeing him anyway? he obviously-"

"He obviously Is just as heartbroken as you are Haruhi," Kaoru interrupted, puckering out his lips as he then saw the small indoor fountain in view, "You know, it's just so darn adorable the way you guys are, thinking one likes one person while the other thinks the one person like another."

"What are you talking about?" Haruhi sighed, being led up to water fountain similar to a bird bath only bigger. "You're not making any sense."

Kaoru sighed, stopping in his tracks as they stood near the water, hearing it make small splashing sounds as it hit the small pool below, who knew commoners could have something as a fountain indoors?

After no sight of his brother, Kaoru turned around and glared at his friend irritably. "Guess we got here before him, figures," he sighed. "Now be nice, no cursing, poor Hikaru is just confused."

"...Whatever."

"And when I said you could punch him, I was just kidding, please don't punch my brother, he may not talk to either of us again."

Haruhi just scowled.

"...You know Haruhi, if you keep looking at me like that, you're going to get wrinkles."

"Why don't you explain something to me than." Haruhi narrowed her eyes, folding up arms as she looked away from him and looked at the water. "Why does Hikaru want to meet us here if he has a girlfriend? what makes him so confused?"

Kaoru blinked, looking over at her and smiled, not able to contain himself as he flung himself at her, almost knocking them both In the fountain. "You're so cute when you're in love Haruhi! its adorable, just wait till Hikaru gets here, He's gonna flip-"

"Kaoru, has it ever occurred to you that maybe I don't want to see him?" Haruhi muttered quietly, her arms wrapped around her as if she was giving her self a hug after pushing him of her, and continued to watched the water splash down. "What's makes you think he actually wants to se me either, if he wanted to see me then he could have just easily came to me house, we didn't need to come here."

Kaoru's face fell into seriousness as he narrowed his brow, sticking his hands in his pockets, thinking of what to say that would change her mind, then began to stutted without his brains permission. "Don't be like that Haruhi, Hikaru... He doesn't have a girlfriend, he just thought that you-... And Hunny sempai told me that you liked him, so I-"

Kaoru cut himself off as Haruhi walked up to him, pulling her hat off her head as she then stuffed it into his chest, looking down at the floor. "I don't feel Like being here Kaoru, I know you're trying to make me feel better, but its not working, if Hikaru likes someone else than it can't be helped... But I'm going home, I'll see you at school tomorrow."

But if we wait till school, it will only be that much more awkward!

Kaoru blinked, totally confused at what just happened, knowing that this is exactly why he told his brother not to be late.. He stared down at the hat Haruhi shoved at him, and looked up, watching her walk away, and was about to run after her and explain everything, when...

"Ne, Haruhi, are you being a jerk to Kaoru? I know who you feel about him being a sniveling little rat-faced git, but he is just trying to help~"

Haruhi was stopped once again from going home as an arm slung itself over her shoulder, the smell of fancy cologne was next to her, with the all too familiar voice near her ear.. Causing her heart to pound.

Hikaru grinned a toothy grin, poking her in the cheek as he turned her around, his brother standing there as he threw the hat in the pound a grin also forming on his face.

"Hikaru, you're late!" Kaoru whined, looking perturbed as he folded his arms and glared at his brother who suddenly decided to show up just in time actually, and who was also connected to Haruhi so she couldn't escape. "I say in a hour and a half, not an hour and a half plus twenty minutes."

"Actually I got here earlier than that, I just got bored and walked around a while," Hikaru snickered, feeling Haruhi fidget under his arm, causing a blush to grow on his cheeks like an annoying weed. "You guys were the ones late."

Kaoru laughed sheepishly as he looked down at his watch. "No we were standing here waiting for you to appear, dope."

"Ah, well than, I guess neither one of us were late."

"Guess not."

After realizing that his brother just called him a sniveling rat-faced git, Kaoru brushed of the insult and decided that he probably deserved it in a way, then smiled towards the two people who were standing next to each other, just waiting for one of them to make a move.

Catching Kaoru's happy face, Haruhi rolled her eyes and unlaced Hikaru's arm from her shoulder and turned around again, walking away towards the door.

Okay, not the kind of move he was expecting.

Both Hikaru and Kaoru scowled irritably as they watched their toy walk away from them, they both glared and hurriedly followed after her, slinging their limbs around her once more.

"Ne, Haruhi don't leave, everyone's finally here," Kaoru pouted, nuzzling his cheek against hers. Moving his eyes to his brother.

Hikaru gulped, the blush on his face only getting bigger as he didn't know what to say to her. "Yeah, don't be a spoiled sport."

Haruhi grunted irritably as he stopped walking, turning around to face them both, shaking off their limbs, being face with Hikaru, causing her cheeks to tint an annoying shade of pink.

"Hmm, perhaps I should leave you two alone~?" Kaoru smirked, slowly unlinking his arm as he tiptoed away without neither of them noticing.

Hikaru blinked his arm being the only one attached to her, and looked over her oblivious shoulder, noticing his twin wasn't there anymore he quickly pulled his arm away, blushing madly as he fell for the same trick once again.

Neither of them knowing that Kaoru hadn't really left, and was just hiding himself behind the giant potted plant behind them.

"That ass, I swear he does this on purpose!" Hikaru mused to himself, glaring angrily behind his shoulder, narrowing his eyes as he saw something orange wiggle In between the huge green leaves of the small potted tree, but he ignored it, and continued to think that his brother was the strange person ordering ice-cream two stands away.

Haruhi looked down, not wanting to look at his face, though gave up on trying to get away, knowing hat you cant run from two determined teenage boys. . She sighed and looked up at Hikaru, his face looking somewhere else until he decided then to turn, both catching each others eyes. Gold to brown.

"Uh..." Hikaru blinked, his eyes twitchy and unfocused as he looked intently at her face, both of them looking as if they were plucked freshly from a cherry tree. "I uh... Haruhi... So...I..."

Haruhi just stared at him silently. occasionally blinking when needed to.

After hearing a strange slapping sound from behind him, Hikaru twitched and felt his hear race as he watched Haruhi suck in his lips to lick them.. Making him gulp and his palm sweat slightly.

Not knowing why the guys always have to make the first move. Hikaru cursed violent words in his mind and scratched at the tile with the toe of his shoe, looking at her face, not knowing why he felt so nervous all of a sudden, when just a few days ago he was able to kiss her on the cheek to make Tamaki have a heart attack.

But now... Now he felt like he was the one about to have a heart attack.

And he was wrong all this time about her.

"Um..." He stuttered out again, trying to act cool and make sense and tell her everything at the same time, apparently though, you can't do that and look sane. "Haruhi, I didn't know that you... See, I can explain."

"Yeah, you and your brother are good at that." She glared sarcastically, looking over at the potted plant she knew Kaoru was hiding behind, knowing that he had promised to explain everything to her on the way there but never did.

Hikaru scowled, looking over his shoulder towards nowhere in particular as he thought of what else to say that would defend himself. "Well, uh... See, I thought you... And Bossanova, so me and a fan chick... We..."

Haruhi snorted, looking away as she rolled her eyes. "Hikaru, you're not making any sense."

"Well jeez, I don't see you talking." He snapped, not thinking. "What about you and Bossanova? this is your fault too... Sending people mixed signals all the time."

"What's my fault?" she scowled, adjusting her blue shirt that was fancy yet strangely comfortable. "I wasn't sending anyone mixed signals."

"Well, I'm surprised you actually knew what that meant," he huffed, shoving his hands in his pockets. "If you would have just told me earlier we wouldn't have gotten in this mess in the first place."

"I don't see how that's my fault, I don't even know what you're talking about."

"Yeah, sure you don't," Hikaru let out a sharp exhale of air through his teeth as he still sported a blush from just looking at her. "Look, I didn't know what was going on with you, with you hosting guys now you've ben spending a bunch of time with Bossanova, and I-... I got annoyed... I liked it better when you were hosting girls, you-... I don't know."

Haruhi just blinked, lost, slightly confused, and obviously wanting him to continue (Despite his annoyance)

He sighed, heavily, looked away from her to collect his calm sane thoughts, wishing he was, and knew everything like Kaoru, or Kyouya. "Look, That girl, in the hall, I was just trying to get Kaoru off my back, cause for some odd reason he thought it would be a good idea for me to have a girlfriend, I don't know why."

Kaoru glared.

Haruhi's face softened (slightly) A small smile tugging its way on to her lips, trying to make herself seem less irritated and hurt. "So, what? what did you think I was doing with Kassanova?"

An attention mark formed and quickly disappeared as he gulped and looked back at her, irritated at the mention of the mans voice again, but he was trying to hide it. "I-... I thought you were, you know... Starting to like him, and I... I got... I don't know why but I got annoyed and didn't know what to think.

ignoring the fact the he kept saying 'annoyed' she gave a half suppressed giggle and breathed out softly. "Well, It's not like I hate him, or anything, he's just a friend, he knows I don't like him like that."

"I'm surprised you actually know what 'that' is."

"Yes, I'm not an idiot, Hikaru."

"...Right."

"But," Hikaru continued, rubbing the back of his neck, looking at the floor, feeling too sheepish to actually look at her eyes for this sentence. "...Kaoru told me, but I dint know until then that you..."

"That I liked you?" Haruhi said simply, (as if it wasn't a big deal) finishing what he was saying to make things easier on the poor boy, who looked like he was about to combust into a he flame.

With his whole face turning into a blush he thought only Tamaki was capable of pulling off, he looked down towards the floor and made circles on the cheap tile with the tip of his shoe. Hearing his heart pound in his skull.

"Oh my god," Kaoru slapped his hand to his forehead. "This is taking forever."

Calming his face down a bit, with his blush being replaced with a devilish grin. Looking at her now, noticing her hair and how it was straightened, causing the tips of her brown locks to touch her shoulders.

"You know, I knew I'd be able to make you blush like that," he snickered, changing the subject completely, due to it's seriousness. Leaning his head in closer. "Makes you look even cuter."

"Y-yeah, well... Yours makes you look like a weirdo."

As if on cue, a giant money appeared out of nowhere, holding a banana, a few seconds later the banana disappeared from its hand then the monkey vanished as well.

And while he took a step forward, wanting to touch her hair that was weirdly straightened, probably by his brothers portable hair straightener. Though once he took that first step, he stepped on something rather slippery and his body fell forward, with his hand already stretched out in mid-hair touching, he threw his arm over her shoulder to keep himself from falling on his face.

But even before he could blink, or register what had just happened, his lips crashed clumsily right on hers.

Haruhi squeaked in surprise as her lips were suddenly taken by his, while his arm was wrapped around her, her arms just stayed at her sides, frozen in shock.

Taking a glance around the pot, Kaoru's face lit up like a Christmas tree, watching his brother and best friend close together in a kiss.

Snap~

"Oh wow, you guys like to get intimate."

Hikaru and Haruhi both froze. Pulling away from each other slowly, their faces both redder than fully ripe apples. They're eyes widen as they heard snickering behind them.

Lowering his hands from her face, trailing his fingers down through her hair as he did so, feeling a heated aura around them as they stepped back from each other, despite him wanting to hold her longer. Hikaru blinked his half-lidded golden eyes and looked down at his shoes, taking in all that he had just done.

Haruhi blinked, shocked that she actually liked the kiss they just engulfed themselves in on accident. She gasped slightly as her cheeks darkened even more from beign so close to him. She took a few breaths out from her mouth, and looked down towards the floor just as he was doing, her eyes closing completely as she scolded herself for acting stupid.

Kaoru grinned a big happy smile, bigger than all the other times he had smiled during the long hard past two months. He bit his lips as he held out his beloved camera, taking a fresh photo of his twin and Haruhi kissing. He turned around to look at it. "Awe, see? I told you, you guys would make a cute couple, I'm so awesome... Well, who wants ice cream~?"

Looking up, Hikaru caught her in full eye-contact again, their flustered faces however, instantly calmed down and returned back to their original skin tone. They blinked at each other a few times before leaning in closer again.

"I forgot he was there." Hikaru admitted, his eyes twitching as an irritated red mark formed on his forehead.

Haruhi nodded, her upper lip flinched. "So did I."

The younger Hitachiin's eyes sparkled in amusement and total happiness as he glanced over at his two favorite people as they both spoke. "Oh man, 'm totally sending a copy of this one to Milord."

Haruhi sighed, stepping another step away from her secret crush and looked over at Kaoru, at the mention of a camera."

Kaoru spun on his heel merrily as he looked at his camera, flipping through a few. "Ah, its sad, I really thought my first plan was going to work, and those notes, not to mention the classic love voodoo dolls, your guy's faces were priceless... I guess today worked out okay though, huh~?"

Hikaru's eyes twitched as he looked over at his deal brother, biting his bottom lip as he glared harmlessly. "Oh... that's right, you did do all those things, didn't you Kaoru?"

Kaoru froze, and began to stutter. "Uh... I... I didn't... I can explain."

Haruhi blinked, looking over at Kaoru suspiciously. "What did he do?"

"N-nothing!"

"You mean you haven't figured it out yet Haru?" Hikaru smirked, pulling out a folded up piece of paper from his back pocket unfolding it in her face.

Looking at a familiar note, Haruhi only had to read the first line before she recognize it from earlier in the month. "Hey, that's... I knew I recognized that hand writing."

Hikaru nodded.

Kaoru blinked, stuffing his hands in his pockets as he wondered how his twin got a hold of the same note he showed him earlier that day.

Then he sweat dropped.

Darn.

"Haruhi, you do remember that day you tripped down the stairs, I believe Bossanova saved you that day, am I correct?" Hikaru narrowed his eyes, turning his eyes down to look at her, slinging his arm over her shoulder innocently.

"Yeah, I do," Haruhi muttered, her finger to her chin thinking about the incident. "...Don't tell me, he did that?"

Hikaru nodded. "He did, he admitted it to me earlier."

Kaoru backed away slowly.

"Huh," Haruhi narrowed her eyes, looking at poor Kaoru with a small glare. "So really, in a way, this whole mess is really His fault."

"I suppose it is."

Hikaru and Haruhi both glared.

"Now hold on a second," Kaoru raised his hands defensively. "It was for a good cause... I-... I helped you, you guys were taking so long to confess that I-..."

"So," Haruhi muttered, folding her arms over her chest. "What do we do?"

"There's only one thing to do," Hikaru sighed, shaking his head slightly as he unlinked his arm from her. "Get the camera."

Kaoru's face fell as he cradled his beloved camera in his hands. "No... This is my camera, it has all my black-mail photo's on it, here, want to see Kyouya sempai eat cake?"

Both Hikaru and Haruhi glared mercilessly as they stepped in-sync. Surrounding poor Kaoru with no innocent intentions in mind.

Kaoru's eyes widened again as he watched his brother's body twitch forward as if he was trying to grab him.

He took no time, turning on his heel and running away. "By Hikaru! walk Haruho home for me!"

Hikaru grumbled, running after him.

"Where do you think your going!? get back here you git!"

"AHHHH!"

Haruhi snickered lightly, not intending on following them as she touched her lips softly with her delicate fingers and smiled. Hearing her friends in the background.

"Give me that camera damn it!

"No, its mine!"

Kaoru bit his lip as they came back around the fountain, after being chased around it a few times, he panted lightly, holding tight on to his camera near his chest. He backed up, having his brother slowly follow him.

Until he hit the edge of the fountain and wasn't able to go anywhere else.

Hikaru grinned mischievously as he stepped closer to his now surrounded brother. Having the upper hind at last. "Kaoru, be a good little brother, and just hand it over."

"N-no."

"Give me it."

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Give it!"

"No!"

Not wanting to do this, but when worse comes to worse, and you have nothing else to do. Hikaru sighed.

Then tackled his twin into the shallow water.

Kaoru squeaked and, luckily for himself, hurriedly tossed his camera out of his grasp and over the edge before he was slammed into the water, making sure it wouldn't get wet.

Haruhi sighed, and sweat dropped at their idiocy. She wasn't really bothered that Kaoru had their picture, she honestly couldn't care less, really. She just wanted Kaoru to suffer a little for tripping her down the stairs.

"You guys are weird." She shook her head, sitting down on the edge, hearing the water rustle as they wrestled around like children, probably not out of anger, but out of playfulness and probably because they were bored.

Then, before she could react, a pair of hands snuck up behind her, wrapped themselves around her waist.

And pulled her down into the water with them.

The End

We shall never know whose hands those were who pulled her down, but I'd like to think they were Hikaru's *Wink*
