Naruto The Kitsuzuka

Our story begins, like many do. T'was the night of the attack. What attack you ask? Why, the sudden attack made by the mighty and terrible Kyuubi no Kitsune, that is. On this dreary night, the attack has been settled for but a few hours and with the bodies of the deceased finally slowing down in its ever so depressing rise, We find ourselves in the chambers of the Council of Konohagakure. There are numerous people in this room, all seated amongst three separate tables. Amongst those at the first and leftmost table, we see those in charge of the civilian life here in the village, the Revered Civilian Council. Meanwhile, at the rightmost table we see the heads of the clans that deemed Konoha their home, the Clan council. Finally, at the table in the center, four important figures sat, three at the same level as the others amongst the other councils, and one that is raised as if to signify a greater importance than those assembled. These are the newly re-elected Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi and his advisors, Koharu Utatane, Homura Mitokado, and Danzo Shimura.

"May I deduce that this session is called to decide the fate of this chile you seem to have brought with you?" Shibi Aburame states, hoping to get straight to the reason behind the meeting so soon after the calamity that was a rampaging fox had been settled.

"I say we kill it before it breaks out and tries to kill us again!" Screeched Sakuya Haruno. Making people wonder for yet another time if the Haruno family are a new species of howler monkey, instead of being human.

"I second the notion, assuming that if this thing is human, then it can die like many of our loved ones did trying to stall it's advance on our beloved city." This was then punctuated by the councilor pushing up his glasses, revealing the wrinkled face of Sakake Hitofumi, the Counselor of Foreign Trade.

"No we should turn him into Konoha's greatest weapon to ever come." Stated Danzo, hoping to take Konoha to an even higher strength with the power that would be this newly made jinchuuriki.

"ENOUGH!" Hiruzen shouted at the council. "No harm shall befall the child, we are not turning him into a mindless weapon like your ROOT, and I declare the information on the Kyuubi's sealing an S-Rank village secret where only I and, when the time comes that he learns of the truth of the beast, Naruto, can talk about it to anyone. Also I am making it a law that anyone who talks about it, besides anyone that Naruto or I give permission, shall be immediately executed for treason." And with that he walked out of the council room to go back to his office. Once he got there he set Naruto down in his crib, sat in his chair, lit his pipe, and stared out of a window from his seat, just wating the moon and stars as they stretch their light, almost as if to comfort the child in his fitful slumber.

-Now-

It is now mid September, with temperatures dropping all to be out are now starting to bundle up while out in the cold fall breeze. Naruto, now at the grown age of six years old, has just escaped the beginnings of another 'fox hunt', in which aggravated, intoxicated, or otherwise impaired villagers would gather and form a mob to attempt to bring about his death until stopped by the people with the funny animal masks or his Jiji stopped them. He had escaped by squirreling up a tree he had found near the wall that surrounded the village proper and proceeded to scale it to get over the wall and into the forest that Konoha was known for. While wandering about following the wall so he could enter from another gate, he comes across a gruesome scene. A mother Red Fox, bloodied and breathing heavily, and her kits all surrounding her. Upon taking notice, the kits, while tiny and quite obviously too young for any real struggle, gathered in front of him with their tiny fangs bared and ready to nip at him if he got too close to them or their mama. Taking a closer look, Naruto notices that there was a large gash on the adult's back, appearing to be right behind a shoulder and following down a few inches, alongside a stump where a beautiful red tail was supposed to be.

"Ah, so those bloody poachers got to her did they?" He steps closer to her, getting slightly nipped at by the largest of the kits, its bite only just drawing blood. Ignoring the warning shot from the kit, Naruto carefully avoids stepping on them as he makes his way over to the mother in pain. "Look, I know that I look like the people that did this, but if you don't let me take her to get help, she may not make it another day."

The largest kit looked him in the eyes for a few seconds and Naruto could almost feel like it was judging him for all he was worth. The kit seeing his intentions were pure, lessened it's snarl and moved away a little, barking what appeared to be an order to the others to step aside.

Naruto gasped when he was done and saw the mother fox was starting to go into shock. He turned to look at the kit and asked, "Can I bring her into the village? I have a friend whose sister works as a vetr-, a veri, veterinarian, that's the word, she's a veterinarian. I'm sure she could help us!"

The kit looked him in the eyes looking for any sign of deception only to find only worry and sadness. It nodded to him and ran up his clothes only to stop at his neck and lay in his small hood, trying to make sure there was enough space for it and its siblings. Naruto laughed at the kit's actions and picked up the smaller kits and placed them within his hood as well, only for the largest to end up having to wrap itself around his neck as there wasn't enough space for five fix kits in his hood. He then picked up the mother up as gently as he could and started to take a shortcut through the forest to arrive at the 'dog people's' compound walls, and went to the veterinary hospital.

Once he got there he opened the door and asked the lady at the front desk if a vet could help the mother fox, only for her to yell, "Get out of here demon. And take your horrid kind with you."

Only for him to reply, "But this is the only pet hospital in Konoha, and she's gonna die if you guys don't help her!"

With this verbal exchange quickly becoming a scene, a trio of huskies looked at the ones yelling and one of them went into the back. When it came back it was with a woman who had short semi-spiky hair, some sort of red tribal like markings on both cheeks, and was around 5'9" tall.

When she saw what Naruto was carrying she gasped and ran over to him to take a better look at the mother fox. When she was done looking over the fox she looked up to see who it was and concernedly asked him, "What happened Naruto?"

"I think one of those fox poachers got her. I found her like this with her kits," he then attempts to gesture to the four kits in his hood and the one around his neck, "And I tried to help like you showed me, but when I got here the lady at the desk started to yell at me calling me a demon and to leave and take my kind with me, whatever that means." Naruto told her.

"Alright bring her back here with me and I will do the best I can." The feral looking lady told him. When they got to a room with a cold steel table in the middle she told him to set the fox mother down gently on the table and leave the room so she could get started. After he left the room, she started to work on the mother fox, taking notice that not only did it have outward injuries, but internal ones as well. By her count, there were three broken ribs, and some internal bleeding from the ribs puncturing organs. After a hard-fought battle to stabilize her, she told Naruto that the mother fox would have to stay there for the rest of the week. She then asked to take a look at the kits to give them a check-up. Seeing no problem with that, he proceeds to follow her into another room toward the back of the building.

"Well," She begins, having finished looking over all five kits, "They're all in decent health, if only a bit young to have gone through this." Naruto nods his head at this and collects the kits to go home. "Oh yeah, and if you want, you can bring them to see her later on tomorrow. We should have her all fixed up and just needing bedrest by the end of the week."

When Naruto was halfway home he remembered a question he needed to ask Hana-chan. So he turned around and started to go back to the vet hospital. When he got there he saw the Hana-chan was just about done locking up and walked up to her as she finished locking up the veterinary hospital. He asked her, "Ne, Hana-chan, can you help me one more time, please."

"Sure, what's wrong?" She asked him.

"I don't know what to feed them." He said pointing at the kits sleeping peacefully around his neck and in his hood.

She then thought for a second and said, "You have to feed her a special formula as she is no more than two weeks old, come with me I have some you can use at my house." And with that she lead him to her compound. When they got there she led him into the head house. "Mom, where do we keep the animal formula?" The lady yelled.

"Why do you need formula Hana?" Asked another voice from what sounded like another room of the house.

"Because little Naru-chan here needs some." The newly named Hana yelled back.

At the mention of Naruto, the other voice started to walk towards them and when it reached them he saw it was Tsume Inuzuka, the head of the Inuzuka clan. Tsume is around 5' 11", wild black hair, and the same type of tribal markings as Hana. When Tsume saw him or more specifically what he had around his neck. She asked Hana, "What is with the kit?"

"Kits. Naru-chan here brought in their mother because of some serious injuries and since they couldn't stay with their mother they are going to be staying with him for a little while, so that's why he's here and why he needs some formula." Hana replied.

"Okay, I understand. Why don't you put them down with the puppies and come with me, I will help you get the stuff you need. Ok?" Tsume asked as she saw a little fear in Naruto's eyes while Hana told her what happened.

"Ok." Naruto replied timidly.

As they were getting the formula Tsume accidentally saw under his shirt and frowned thinking about how stupid and monsterous the villagers are to do this to the poor boy in front of her.

"Is something wrong Inuzuka-sama?" Naruto asked.

"Can you stay with us for dinner." Tsume said.

"Thank you for the offer but I don't want to be a burden to you and your family." Naruto replied with a tinge of sadness.

"You're not a burden, this is my way of saying thank you for being friends with that idiot son of mine." She said.

"I have no choice in this do I?" He asked.

"Nope." Tsume said with a wide smile.

Dinner was a loud affair, food was eaten, stories were told, and Naruto got praised like never before.

"Wow Naruto, so you were able to carry them all together all the way to Nee-chan's clinic? That's so cool! Were they heavy? And how much blood was there, I'll bet there was lots cuz you really smell like it alot, foxes too, but that's probably cuz you got to carry them around a bunch today." Kiba chatted animatedly as he ate his dinner, occasionally tossing a small piece down for his Ninken Akamaru to snack on as well.

Naruto seeing him feed Akamaru again, decides that he wouldn't mind if the foxes ended up staying with him permanently, so that he'd be able to do the very same with them all eventually.

After dinner was over, the time finally came for Naruto to go home.

"Sorry Naruto, but mom says that since I'm still grounded from our last prank together that I can't have friends over for the night." Kiba says apologetically.

Naruto shakes his head, "Don't worry about it, besides, that prank was worth it! You saw the look on that pervert's face right? It was totally priceless!"

Naruto then proceeds to head out through the clan gates and starts heading home. As he gets closer to his home in the red light district, he notices the signs of another 'fox-hunt' about to begin, only that this time he didn't have an escape route. As he rounded another corner, he walked right into a man's body. The man taking notice of who it was, grinned down at him only for his face to morph into one of false panic as he yells out, "Help! Help! The demon just attacked me!" And thusly, the mere stirrings of a 'fox-hunt' turned into a full-fledged one as he started taking blows that would've hit any of the kits.

One of the members of the mob, noticing Naruto's newfound lack of agility, looks closer at him.

"Ha! The demon is protecting its own kind!" And with that, he starts targeting the kits more and more, knowing that Naruto would take the blow rather than them.

Soon enough, a rogue kunai finds its way into Naruto's shoulder as he swerves to protect the kits yet again. The largest of them sees him wincing in pain and licks at the already steaming wound, trying to help him heal as much as it can. Soon, the others take note of this and start helping him too, until a thrown kitchen knife slices slightly into a kit's ear. Hearing the yelp of pain and seeing the blood, Naruto's eyes go red with anger. Soon, as he starts walking towards the now cowering mob, his wounds finish sealing and the kit's ear is healed enough to stop the bleeding but a piece near the tip will forever be missing now. As he closes in on the mob, Naruto takes note of a newly formed cloak around himself, resembling the shape of a fox with bunny ears. As he finishes taking note of this, he turns his anger towards the mob once again, rage building on his face.

"Who. Threw that."

At this point, said man was ousted by his former comrades in the crusade against the fox. Naruto upon seeing the man, steps forward and swings a clawed hand at him, tearing a large gash into his chest. The corrosive chakra defiling the man's flesh from the point of impact and slowly spreading out as he falls back screaming in pain. The mob seeing this all turn and flee, leaving the man to die in an attempt for them to save themselves only for the Hokage to arrive alongside several platoons of ANBU surrounding both Naruto and those that the mob was comprised of.

"Tenzo, you know what to do. The rest of you, I want all of these men brought before Ibiki. Tell him I said he's got free reign as long as they live."

A member of the ANBU nodded stepping forward, flashing through handsigns. But before he could finish, Naruto's cloak suddenly dissipates and he falls forward passing out on the way down.

So yeah, here's the first major update that isn't just me making a notice. I dont have the original layout anymore that i had planned for this story, but considering how much my style has changed, it's probably for the best that I free think this now. Let me know what you think, and I'll be working on chapter two starting later today! My goal is to have all actual chapters updated/rewritten before New Years Day, wish me luck!
