Another chapter!

Hope you guys like it! And are getting excited for the new series. I think it looks okay, would like to see more before I made my judgement, but otheriwse, I'm happy to see my baby's back again

White feet paced on the soft carpet as Allen hated been left alone, his head spinning with confusion and boredom.

For the first little while in the room, Allen had kept himself busy looking through the things on Kanda's desk and bookshelf, the drawers too heavy for him to push open and besides, he didn't think there'd be anything he wanted to see in there anyway. Book titles and the sparse pictures could only entertain him for so long, however, and he suddenly became very antsy as he started to dwell on his current situation.

He hated being alone with his thoughts, hated the anxiety that came with it, hated overthinking every little detail, hated how frightened he got. It often happen after a bad night of gambling, Allen worrying about how his record would affect his future, his schools, and even his life.

But he never thought it would get him like this.

With a deep sigh he realized that Kanda had been right, that this would come back to bite him in the end, though he doubted the elder thought it would end up his problem too.

But how?

How did the woman manage to do this to him? At first Allen thought he might've had his drink dosed or been high from the fumes, but after it lasted almost a full day he concluded that this situation might be real.

Which was impossible... right?

People couldn't just be turned into pets, it just didn't happen.

Allen's white paws stilled as he looked up the full-length mirror Kanda kept in the corner of his room, his white ears, high tail and tiny body proving his thoughts wrong. Ears and tail sunk slightly in response to his lowering emotional state, his head hanging as he wondered how long he needed to stay like this.

Would he stay like this?

Would it eventually wear off? Would he just wake up tomorrow and be human again?

Or would his mind eventually deteriorate to match his feline form?

Heart pounding in his ribcage and stomach knotting further, Allen wondered what would happen to him. Kanda was to return him to the pound, and if he lost his mind he'd have no say in what happened to him or where he'd end up. He'd live his life as a pet, wandering, eating, and meowing for the next ten years until he'd curl up and die.

His body sank to the carpet, his stomach to the ground and his cheeks in between his paws.

He wanted to be normal, to be human again, to walk on two legs and eat what he wanted, to laugh with Lavi, to call Tyki out on his sarcastic remarks.

To fight with Kanda over the smallest and dumbest thing.

His lungs inhaled deeply, nose twitching as the fibres tickled his nose and made his let out a small sneeze, his body shaking at the force.

"What are you doing in the middle of the floor?"

Allen twitched as he turned to look at the man walking into the room, sweat coating his body and staining his shirt, the duffle slung over his shoulder landing with a thump on the floor by his bed.

"I thought I put you on the bed," Kanda continued as he lowered himself to the floor, the animal moving over to meet him as the young man lowered his stomach to the floor before rolling to his back, his arm coming to cover his eyes as he sighed deeply.

Curious, Allen looked over the elder, listening to the heavy breathing coming from Kanda's mouth and feeling the warmth coming from the flushed skin.

"Gotta work out tomorrow morning too," the elder mumbled, "cheap bastards don't even have a damned shower down there too..." his cobalt eyes looked up to the kitten, his free hand reaching to scratch the animal behind the soft ears, "you're lucky you're not human..."

Allen flinched slightly at the words, his eyes flickering away for a moment before he looked back to the elder, his head tilting slightly at the elder's actions.

"You know... I usually prefer dogs..." the younger unconsciously started purring at Kanda's fingers on his head, "but you are kinda cute..."

The young cat almost wished he could smile again, his stomach feeling warmed by the kindness the elder was showing him, his usually cold features slightly softened and, for Kanda, could be confused as happiness.

"Hah... let's see," Kanda murmured, "need to take a shower, go pick up my pay check tomorrow... figure out what I'm doing with you..." he looked to the animal, his face turning sour, "might have to call Lavi to watch you..."

Ears perked up at the words, wondering why Kanda would have to work on a Saturday, the elder usually working lunch to dinner during the weekdays at the Asian fusion restaurant.

"Shower first," the other continued, his body pulling up off the floor, Allen eyes following him until a navy blue shirt covered him.

Meowing in protest, the animal shook his head free of the clothing, his eyes narrowing as he looked up to the elder, his hate stopping short at the sight of his crush standing, shirtless and sweating, his hair freed from the confines of his ponytail and fanning down his back.

"Sorry about that," Kanda murmured, his hands grabbing the sullied shirt, "damn... you're hair's gonna cause me a lot of trouble..."

Allen remained still as he watched the abdomen and sides curled as the body bent over to pick up the clothing, the younger having grown a new appreciation for intensive workout regiments.

He knew Kanda was fit, that he worked out almost everyday, practicing Judo and Kendo with anyone that actually knew how to wield the bokken. While Allen and Lavi were eager to learn and work out with the elder, they never could quite do it to Kanda's standards. Allen was always told he needed to grow two more inches to be somewhat effective and Lavi, apparently, couldn't get a firm enough grip on it, being told by Kanda that "it wasn't Tyki's dick is was a handle".

The comments shot at him made Allen's takedowns all the more satisfying.

Kanda would always be able to best him at swordplay, but Allen's hand-to-hand combat was second to none. The first time the younger bested him Kanda had insisted that it was a fluke at best. The second time the elder mumbled something about the kid getting better. By third time Kanda was royally pissed off and accusing Allen of fighting dirty.

After Lavi managed to separate the two of them, Kanda refused to spar with Allen again, muttering about how he hated having to fight with someone who wouldn't fight fair. Knowing it was fruitless for him to argue, Allen was forced to shove his things into his duffle and stomp off like some sort of child, the two of them no longer speaking.

For about a week or two, at least.

It did sting, to think that Kanda thought so little of him that he believed Allen would stoop to cheating just to win a fight. Then again, given how Allen won his poker matches, there was some semblance of truth to the allegation.

Ears flattened against the white skull, his breathing deepening; it was true that he would cheat mobsters and conmen out of their money, but he promised himself to be no worse then the man that sat across from him. With Kanda, that meant all fights had to be fair and rule oriented, something Allen tired his hardest to do.

To be insulted like that...

His head rose as the pattering water ceased, a deep sigh coming from the bathroom as Kanda shuffled around. Allen, figuring the elder would be admiring himself for a good half hour, proceeded to close his eyes and rest his head on his paws, the fatigue from the previous day's excitement having not worn off on him quiet yet.

"Hey there."

Warm steam washed over the white fur as the bathroom door opened for the young man.

"Looks like you're all ready for bed," Kanda joked quietly as he stepped from his bathroom, a towel around his hips while a second rubbed his long locks.

A silver eye peeked out to look at the young man, his heart hammering a moment faster at the second sight of the young man, though it might have had more to do with the small, soft smile on Kanda's lips. Slipping discreetly into his underwear and sleeping shorts, Allen felt a twinge of disappointment that Kanda showed no more skin in the process of dressing.

"Now come on, you gotta move," the elder murmured, his hand gently nudging the animal off the centre of the bed, resorting to scooping up the small bundle of fur to his chest and sliding under the covers, his mouth sighing as his head sunk into the pillow, the kitten coming to rest on his chest.

Allen watched as Kanda reached over to grab his tablet, his fingers tapping on the screen to pull up either a site or a book while Allen became aware of his current situation.

Glancing down, the younger looked to the skin his paws were under, the pads of his feet flexing discreetly as he felt the warm skin move and pull with him.

"What are you doing?"

Apparently not as discreetly as he thought.

A hand came over Allen's lithe body, the thumb rubbing over the white fur relaxing the both of them.

"You are a very weird kitten, you know that?" Kanda murmured, his eyes glancing from the animal to the screen, "guess that's just what's attracted to me..."

Allen purred quietly at the massage he was given, his head lolling into the long fingers, his ears and tail relaxing slightly. Kanda remained quiet as usual while he thumbed through the pages of an electronic book, the youngers thoughts starting to drift, wondering what it would be like if this was every night for him, coming home and lying in bed with the elder, his head resting on Kanda's chest while the elder quietly read.

It was nice.

"Damn."

Until it wasn't.

Curious, the animal looked up to the elder, Kanda's face contorting into an ugly snarl. It was only then did Allen hear the beeping from the device, a small icon popping up indicating that Lavi wanted to video call.

"Alright, now you stay down and away," Kanda ordered, "if I don't respond to this little prick he'll come over."

Allen felt like some sort of scientist as he studied Kanda's actions and reactions, his fingers tapping on the answer button, Lavi's response almost immediate.

"HEEEEEY YUU!"

"For fucks sake Lavi!" Kanda barked, "you don't need to yell!"

"But you won't pay attention to me otherwise!" Lavi pointed out, his face scrunching as he stared at the screen, "are you naked?"

"What are you five?" the other muttered, "and why would I accept your call if I was naked?"

"Because your unrequieted for my bunny has reached its breaking point and you are desperately trying to seduce him."

Allen watched as Tyki slid into view, his own torso bare and Kanda looking as though he was about to hurl.

"Don't make me vomit," Kanda murmured, his arm reaching under his pillow for the shirt he used to sleep in. "There," the elder snapped, flipping his hair from out of the shirt's neck, "better?"

"He wasn't trying to seduce me," Lavi chastised his boyfriend, "I don't have white hair and a red scar."

"For the love of all that is good will you knock it off with that crap!" Kanda snapped, while Tyki and Lavi glanced knowingly to each other.

"On one condition," Lavi held a finger up, "I wanna see the kitty again before you send him away in two days!"

"Denied," the elder growled, "would it kill you to stop harassing me?"

"It's more like teasing if anything else-"

"Well it's irritating," Kanda snapped, "KNOCK IT OFF!"

"No need to get so touchy," Tyki interjected, "let's all play nice."

"Don't want too," the Japanese muttered, "so why the Hell did you call in the first place? You know, other than to annoy the Hell out of me."

"I thought it was obvious," Lavi told him simply, "I wanna see the kitten again!"

"Well... if you had half a brain it's obvious," Tyki mumbled, Kanda's temper starting to flare at the comment.

"Oi!"

"Mrow..."

"KITTY!"

If Allen wanted to hear Kanda fight with someone he'd pick one himself. Hoping for a restful night, the young kitten figured he might as well try to diffuse the situation.

"You really are like a five-year-old," Kanda muttered bitterly as Lavi frantically waved to the animal.

"Oh I hope not; that would make what we do very illegal," Tyki interjected, his fingers tracing the younger's back while Lavi's finger waggled in the animal's direction.

"That is an awful joke," the other commented, his face disgusted as the animal roamed his chest, his silver eyes remaining on Lavi's smiling face.

"OOOh look how cute he is!" the redhead continued, ignorant of Tyki's and Kanda's conversation, "look how cute he is!"

"Yes yes... he's adorable," Kanda grumbled, his hand reaching to push down on the animal's head, his eyes catching sight of his screen in the corner, the most prominent feature of the cat his eyes and nose, now magnified given his angle.

"Noo!" Lavi pouted, "I wanna see the kitty," he turned to his lover, "Tyki... make Kanda show me the kitty!"

"Alright lovely bunny," Tyki purred, "Kanda," the elder started knowingly, "show Lavi the kitty..."

Arms crossed the tattooed chest, his lips curling upwards with an angered sneer.

"No."

"C'mon," the redhead pouted, "pleeease? He's going away in two days!"

"I said, no!" Kanda snapped, Allen flinching at the anger, his eyes narrowing as he turned to the elder before a thought crossed his mind, a devious grin tempted to stretch across his face.

Straightening up, the animal moved away from the screen, Lavi complaining vocally at the movement.

"Kanda..." the younger whined, "you scared him away!"

"Yeah so?" Kanda snapped, his eyes trying to look at the kitten without alerting the other to his interest.

"How else am I gonna talk to him before he gets sent away?" Lavi continued, "don't be cruel!"

"I am not chasing him away," the elder informed him, "he probably just heard your voice and thought it was too grating on the ears!"

"Bunny," Tyki spoke up, "you should know by now; Mr. Kitchen Knife here is a hypocrite and a half, especially when it comes to things he likes."

"Such as?" Kanda pushed.

"Such as the boy," the Portuguese man smirked, Kanda sighing from the repetitious argument.

"For the last time," the younger hissed, "I am not-"

"MROW!"

Black hair jerked forward as extra weight flung itself on his head, the blue eyes looking fruitlessly up to the kitten that had happily leapt onto his hair.

"OH MY GOD!"

A faint click emanated from the video call that managed to be heard over Lavi's squealing, Allen busying himself by ruffling the bangs Kanda snapping at the animal and demanding it release him.

"Get... OFF!"

If Allen had been human the sound out of his mouth would have been laughter, his paws careful not to unleash his claws as the head moved around beneath him.

"Get off me! Stupid cat!"

Finally falling from the elder, Allen managed to land with his back in Kanda's crooked arms, the elder still fuming through a flash of fear ran across his eyes.

"That was soooo cute," Lavi laughed, his boyfriend having rolled off screen, likely too busy laughing to breathe, "do it again do it again do it again!"

"I don't want to have a heart attack before I'm thirty!" Kanda roared, "bad cat!"

Meowing innocently, Allen let his tail flick back and forth, his eyes widening as he tried to look as sweet as possible. It was the only time he could use a tactic like this on Kanda, so perhaps he should milk it for all it's worth.

"Stupid animal," the elder snapped, his tone softer this time, "why do I attract these things..."

"Birds of a feather," Tyki commented having regained his composure, Kanda looking as though he would like nothing more than to snap Tyki's neck.

"Well, now that you've seen the animal, are you satisfied?" Kanda managed to get out through gritted teeth, his hand trying to push down the wiggling creature.

"Not yet, that's my job," the Portuguese man murmured, his lips moving to kiss the back of the redhead's neck.

"Tyki!" Lavi squealed, "the camera's still on! Kanda's watching."

"Oh let him," Allen could practically hear the grin on the elder's face, "might give him some ideas of what to do with Allen..."

"Right, Night."

Kanda shut off the video call with a shudder, his tablet tossed to his bedside table before he lay back in bed.

"Gonna need to scrub that thing now," the young man muttered, "damn..."

Looking around, blue eyes knotted in confusion at the missing animal.

"Now where'd you go...?"

A small shuffle at his back had him lifting up the pillow to see the tiny animal's head shoved into the mattress.

"They're done making out," Kanda muttered blatantly, "well... at the very least we can't see them any more."

Allen peeked up at the elder, the only other person who had to deal with the loving couple's PDA.

Slowly, the animal moved to slip into the crook of Kanda's arm, the animal lying there as he snuggled into the warm flesh.

"Oh... shit!"

The animal jerked his head up at the curse, his eyes confused as the arm that wasn't holding him lifted to cover the blue eyes.

"Forgot to ask Lavi to babysit you tomorrow," his eyes glared to the tablet, "and I am not calling him back now."

Eyes turned to look back to the creature, the animal seemingly innocent with it's large silver eyes.

"I'm gonna have to trust you for three hours," Kanda muttered, his finger pointing to the pink nose, "so don't do anything stupid, got it?"

Meowing in response, Allen felt his heart lift slightly as he finally saw a chance to figure out just what the Hell happened to him.

"Now please give me restful night," the elder continued, his hand reaching over to shut off the lamp, "though with the nightmare those two just gave me, you're the least of my problems."

Allen silently agreed, he knowing better than anyone just how wrapped up the two could be in their physical displays of love, his couch now needing lighter fluid and a match after he had left the two of them for a snack.

Still, Allen thought as he slowly drifted off to sleep in the elder's arms, Kanda's heartbeat in his ears, Tyki might have had a point.

He really wouldn't mind if Kanda treated him like that.

Sooo... lemme know what you think!
