Silence echoed in the room, Jane's breathing slowing as her blood pooled around her. An almost silent whimper fell from her lips, her eyes squint shut. Ben, Jeff and I stared as she took her last breaths, now unable to return to the world. As Slender had explained, a creepypasta's immortality prevents them from aging... not dying once more. If they die, they failed at the task Zalgo had sent them for. I looked over at Jeff, seeing a blank expression on his face, Ben's still one of shock. Tears trickled down my cheeks, but I couldn't help the rush of relief that flowed through my veins due to Jeff acting instead of telling the truth.

Jeff looked up at me, his non-closing eyes unreadable. Then, his smile widened as he opened his arms, dropping his knife to the ground as he welcomed me to a hug. I sniffed, flinging myself forward into his arms. More tears spilled from my eyes, the thought of losing him scaring me to death. He stroked my hair, whispering sweet nothings as I clung to him. This was all over. Jane was no longer a worry. Everyone could finally be happy. Ben stood, still looking bad off. Yet he was smirking, his arms crossed in front of him as he stared at the loving scene in front of him.

"So," Ben began, clearing his throat. "We should probably head home. Don't ya think?" he asked.

I nodded, pulling back as Jeff shoved his knife back into his hoodie's pocket. "Yeah. They are probably wondering where we are."

Jeff and I stood, his arms wrapping around me once more, his chapped lips nearly slamming into mine. Ben let out a huff, but let us continue. My cheek stung and burned due to the reopened flesh, but I frankly didn't give a damn at this moment. Relief was my dominant emotion.

"I... I thought you were serious," I breathed, a light blush coating my cheeks.

"Technically I was. I never lie, you know that. I hate liars," he seethed. "I did try to to make her beautiful. I did try to make it up to her after the fact. I said I would make it up to her now. And I did... by killing her. That was the greatest gift I could think to offer," he chuckled. "When I said I should have done this a long time ago, I meant kill her. I hoped that was obvious after the fact," he grinned, brightly.

I nodded, smiling softly. "I'm just glad you're both okay," I sighed, happily.

"Believe me... me too," he breathed, running a hand through his singed hair. "You know I'd never hurt you, my little proxy," he cooed, smiling even brighter.

I giggled as Ben groaned. "Come on! I need EJ assistance, damn it!" the broken elf whined.

"I believe I need it more," I scoffed, pointing at my still bleeding, sliced cheek.

Ben rolled his eyes. "Whatever. Lets just get a move on."

Jeff took my hand as we started out of the room, exiting out of the deserted cabin. The forest was quiet, not even the sound of animals being heard. Only the sticks and pine needles snapped beneath our feet as we padded back to the mansion. I relied on the guys to know exactly where we were going, because in all I honesty... I had no clue. But finally, we approached the large mansion, Ben quickening his pace. We approached the front doors, Ben slamming it open and rushing inside.

"I'm back, bitches!" he yelled, alerting most of the pastas.

Slenderman appeared, his face contorted in a way that appeared worried. "Children, where have you been? I was about to send my proxies out to hunt for you," he started, his expression changed once he saw mine and Ben's battered appearance. "Eyeless Jack!" he called, knowing that we needed him.

Everyone gathered in front of us, a chorus of voices demanding to know what had happened to us. I clung onto Jeff, my eyelids drooping. I didn't want to relive what had just happened, and Jeff didn't seem to want to either.

"Alright, quiet!" Ben yelled. "Now... let me enlighten you on the fantastic tale," he snickered.

I rolled my eyes as Ben began to tell the tale. I leaned into Jeff for support as Ben described how he had saved us, making himself look like the hero, even though we had all worked together. Everyone had shocked expressions on their faces, other than those who are masked. Of course, Ben left out the part where he had screamed bloody murder while he was submerged in water.

"So... Jane is dead?" EJ asked.

"That's right," Jeff replied, triumphantly.

Slender sighed, shaking his head. "That child... although I will not hold that against you, Jeffrey. You were only protected your loved ones, and my only rule is to not kill in the mansion. The three of you have showed excellent fighting skills, according to Benjamin's story. Even Ms. Stephanie who has been with us for such a short amount of time. I congratulate you for surviving in such conditions. Now... I believe Ms. Stephanie needs to go with EJ to stitch her wound. Then, Benjamin. Now if you all will excuse me, I must go do some work," Slenderman nodded, teleporting from the room.

EJ stepped forward, waving for me to follow him to his office. I pulled away from Jeff, following him to the bleak hospital setting once more.

"So," EJ started as I laid on the metal hospital bed. "Jane slashed your cheek I see."

"Yep," I sighed. "You don't know how much I appreciate what you did for me after the fact," I sighed as he opened a drawer, pulling out a needle.

He chuckled, placing the tools he needed on the metal cart at the side. "Personally, I'm glad Jane is gone. So much tension will no longer be in the house... it will be so refreshing," he sighed, happily.

"Believe me, I feel the same way," I giggled.

I shut my eyes, allowing him to work. Of course, this would probably take longer. He had to remove the ripped stitches that were still in my cheek, clean the wound and restitch. Not a fun process, I assure you. After it was numbed, I barely felt a thing. I let the blue masked man work in peace as I reflected on my day... and how chaotic it had begun. Once he was finished, he informed me to clean the wound multiple times throughout the day due to Jane's knife piercing my skin. Who knows how many others it had stabbed.

I hopped up, seeing Ben waiting at the door as I opened it. I called thank you over my shoulder, then proceeded to my room. Jeff was already waiting there when I arrived. He smiled when he saw my fixed cheek, and I couldn't help but return it. I twisted to the mirror, seeing my cheek looked just as it had before, only a tad bit bloody around the edges. I shrugged my shoulders, not minding. It would go away in time. I walked over, sitting next to Jeff on our bed. He draped his arm over my shoulder as I snuggled into him, finally feeling as if all was right in the world. I knew he felt just the same.

"Now you can eat without worrying if it's poisoned," he joked, causing a small chuckle from me.

"That'll be nice," I giggled.

"Yes. Would you like to go out to kill, my little proxy?" he purred.

"Actually... I would just like to spend the day with you, after all that," I chuckled, looking up at him.

He smiled, warmly. "You know what... that sounds perfect," he agreed.

He leaned in, pressing his lips to mine. He pushed me back onto the bed as I giggled, no worries such a wonderful feeling. No more pain. No more sadness. No more hate, no more revenge. Just me, Jeff, my bestfriend and my new family. Not to mention my new hobby. No need to worry about jobs, school or housing. I had it all, and all the time in the world.

Finally things were looking right. And I would cherish every second of it.
