I am back! I am sorry for the extended disappearance. I hope I can continue to write and enjoy this story. I also hope you do as well.

I have done a good amount of Kili based prompts. I do believe it is time for Fili. Also because of this drabble I feel kind of awkward for doing 2 birthday prompts and they both circle Fili. Although this one will be much different. Remember he is like 10 now and loves to have Kili around. Kili is 4. Just saying that there might be some drabbles that jump ages, I mean I could go back to after Kili was born if I wanted to. It all depends on what I want to write about. Enjoy!

Prompt: Weapon- Fili is now at age where he gets his first weapon and gets to start training. It's safe to say young Kili is scared that Fili would leave him forever when he starts to train with Mister Dwalin.

"Kili! Kili wake up! Guess what today is!" Fili called happily as he shook his baby brother awake. The younger of the two groaned and curled in closer to the wall in which he was sleeping next too. Kili always slept against the wall in fear if he slept on the other side of the bed he would fall to the floor. No one wanted that so Fili volunteered to sleep on the edge so Kili would not be in any danger. Kili had been glad for his older brothers heroism, Dis was just glad that her boys got together so well.

"No Kili. Don't go back to sleep. It's my birthday! That means good breakfast and all day play! Remember how much fun you had on your birthday?" Fili asked rolling his brother over. Wild brown eyes met with his when Kili finally decided to open his eyes to look at Fili. The young dwarf yawned and rubbed his eyes with his tiny fist. Fili smiled.

"It your biwthday? Happy Biwthday Fiwi!" Kili called and stretched his arms up to his big brother to be picked up. Fili stood from the bed and leaned down to pick up Kili. Kili was still small enough to be carried by Fili and everyone else. It concerned Dis slightly that Fili, only the age of ten, could carry Kili who was four. Kili was much smaller than other young dwarves his age. It was disconcerting. However she knew that before long he will be growing up to be a big dwarf.

"Thanks Kili. Today I get to start my training! Isn't that exciting?" Fili asked as he carried his baby brother out of the room and into the eating area where Dis and Thorin was. Kili looked at him with wonder as he processed the words. A large smile spread across Kili's lips. Fili found the smile contagious and couldn't help his own. Once he was in the eating area, he sat Kili down in the seat closest to his. There was a few books stacked on the chair for Kili to sit on so he could reach the table.

"Happy Birthday my son!" Dis cried happily at Fili who was still smiling largely. Fili turned to her with pure excited etched into his childish features. Dis knew what her eldest was so excited about and could not help but laugh. It was nice to see her son excited to train and be like a real dwarf.

"Mother! It's today! Today's my tenth birthday!" Fili called happily, making sure that Kili was securely in his chair before sitting down himself. Like he expected his breakfast was there waiting for him. Fili sniffed the air close to the plate, satisfied by the sweet scent that greeted him. Thorin laughed softly at the declaration of the obvious.

"It sure is Fili. Do you know what that means right? It means you are finally of age to be able to train and learn to fight." Dis announced greatly. Fili bounced in his chair. Kili frowned for a second but his child brain let any thought pass on by. Just looking at the table got him distracted. What else distracted him was that Fili had better food then him. Again Kili let this thought pass, it was Fili's birthday after all.

"So Fili, are you eager to train all day today? Since it's your first day and all we will probably spend most of the day just deciding which kind of weapon works best for you." Thorin announced to his heir. Fili nodded and tried to keep himself calm. He had to look presentable to his family being the heir to Durin. They had began eating and all when Thorin said this. Kili's tiny head shot up quickly.

"Twaining all day?" Kili asked in his soft child voice. Fili looked over to his brother with a raised brow. Fili shrugged lightly and looked over to his uncle in question. Would he really have to train all day? Was there no time to play and have fun like Fili had first expected?

"Of course not all day child. It is simply for a couple of hours. You will have time to play with Kili, trust me." Thorin assured him with a smile. Fili nodded in relief, glad that he will have time to train for the first time but still get to play with his baby brother. Kili almost seemed to be eased by the news.

"What about my lessons with Mister Balin?" Fili asked as he finished off his breakfast. Kili was still nibbling on his and was taking much longer than his older brother had. Thorin sat his utensil down for he too had finished his food.

"You will still have lessons. Half of the week you will study with Balin and the other half you will train with Dwalin." Thorin informed him. Fili nodded and stood from his chair. He went over to retrieve his brother from his chair. The child had not finished his food but proved he would not by pushing the plate away. Dis frowned.

"Kili honey are you not going to finish your breakfast?" She asked him pointed over to his only half empty plate. Kili looked up at her with his wide eyes and soft face and shook his head. Dis frowned but the cuteness of her son stopped her from saying thing more.

"No momma. I is not hungwy anymores." He said and attempted to climb out of the chair himself with his brother by his side. Fili was trying to help him but Kili keep whining when he tried. "Stop Fiwi! I is a big boy now!" Kili called out but in the end asked his brother for some assistance getting down.

"Go get ready to go Fili. We have a long day ahead of us." Thorin told him. Fili nodded and ran off to his room to get dressed. He was followed by Kili, who stumbled after his brother with his short legs. Dis smiled at the dedication that young Kili had for his older brother. Soon Fili was running back out of his room all dressed up in a nice pair of trousers and the perfect shirt to train in.

"Are you ready to go?" Thorin asked in his usual deep voice. Fili nodded excitably but straighten himself out to look good for his uncle. Thorin smiled at his nephew and motioned for the eldest to head out the door. Right before they were about to step out, Kili came rushing in from his and Fili's shared room.

"Wait! You almost forgoted me!" Kili wailed out as he ran up to his brother and uncle before they could leave. Dis frowned at the action, knowing that her youngest would want to join Fili in his lesson, but knew that he could not. It was much to dangerous to be so young around training dwarves.

"Kili. My babe they did not almost forget you. You can't go with them." Dis said in a soothing voice as she went to pick her child up. Kili had went all out in getting dressed up himself. He had packed on several layers and even had on a hat to protect his head. Dis felt sympathy for her son and his efforts to accompany Fili.

"What? Momma! I wanna go!" Kili cried loudly that even Thorin winced at the pitch. It saddened him to see his nephew in such distress. However he knew that it was best if Kili stayed there. Kili would only distract Fili from the training and may even get hurt. As much as Thorin wanted to soothe Kili, and let him come with them, he knew he could not.

"I am sorry my son. You could get hurt. Besides you are not old enough to attend. It is best if you stay here with me." Dis told him. Kili had not seemed to like that at all, for he screamed and wailed as he cried. Thorin once again winced.

"Momma! Momma no! I wanna go!" Kili screamed and flailed in an attempt to escape his mothers grasp. However she held onto him tightly and rocked him. Dis had told Thorin and Fili it would be better if they just went ahead and left now. In spite of this Fili wanted to say goodbye to his baby brother. He would not train happily if he could leave Kili and know that Kili would fine without him.

"Mother. Let me talk to him. Please." Fili said as he grabbed onto her dress. He was still young and short compared to her. Hardly even went up to her hip. From where she was looking down at him she did not see a child, she saw her responsible Fili. Dis nodded and handed her thrashing child into the arms of her much calmer elder child. Kili shuddered and cried in Fili's arms. The blonde Durin wrapped Kili in his arms and pressed him to his neck.

"Fiwi! Fiwi don't leawe me!" Kili cried out into his brothers soft neck. Fili could feel the warm tears of his baby brother staining his neck and clothes. Fili didn't mind though, it was all apart of being an older brother.

"I don't want to Kee. I really don't but I don't want you to get hurt." Fili murmured lightly into Kili's ear. It was soft and comforting, Kili stopped his cries to look up at his brother.

"You don't?" Kili asked so quietly that he was whispering to Fili. Dis assumed it was because Kili wanted it to be like keeping a secret from their mother. They both knew that I was not, but their child minds enjoyed the feeling of keeping a 'secret' from their elders. Dis and Thorin shared a shrug.

"Of course not. I really want you to come Kili, but you can't. If you stay here and be good for momma then me and you could spend all day tomorrow playing! I'm sure uncle Thorin wouldn't mind if I stayed home all day tomorrow." Fili declared. Thorin was about to say something about the statement but Dis sent him a look that told him to think otherwise. Thorin frowned, but one day wouldn't hurt.

"But Fiwi! What about the next day? What then?" Kili said in his child voice that made Dis swoon. Her youngest was truly the cutest thing she had ever seen. Truth be told Dis wished she would never have to separate her children, but she had no other choice.

"Well I will have to train, but we can still play after I get home. Don't worry I won't ever forget about you." Fili assured his younger brother with a soft smile. Kili sniffed and rubbed the tears out of his eyes. Fili knew that Kili would never be happy with Fili having to leave, but at least he was not as torn up about it as he first was. Finally Kili nodded.

"Otay…" Kili said and motioned to be sat down. Fili put his brother on the ground while planting a soft kiss on his baby brothers head. After some quick goodbyes, he and Thorin went off to go to train with Dwalin. Thorin promising his heir that he could have the next day to his brother like requested.
