Author's Note: I had told Baku Babe last year that I've had an idea for this light-hearted epilogue chapter for a long time, but I wasn't sure if I'd ever officially add it to the story, because it had a very different feel to it as compared to the rest of the story. The idea came from Disney holding a ceremony last year that formally recognized Anna and Elsa as Disney Princesses. When I read about the plans, I was still working on the main part of this story, and I had the thought, "What if Anna and Elsa—the REAL Anna and Elsa—actually attended that ceremony?"

When I mentioned it to BB, she not only encouraged me to do it, she even suggested an idea that was so unexpected and interesting that I used it in this chapter. As such, she deserves real credit for making this last epilogue happen.

I've thought about completing this for months. I've turned it over in my head, about whether or not I should write it out, then I debated whether or not to post it. It's finally finished, and I think I'll go ahead and post it to hit the aesthetically pleasing even number of thirty chapters exactly. If it's being indulgent to do so, please forgive me. I think after all Anna and Elsa have been through, they've earned a happy, pleasant chapter.

Thank you, BB. You're awesome! I hope you and all my readers enjoy this, because it's dedicated to all of you.

This chapter picks up A VERY LONG TIME after the previous chapter.

Cover Art for the story is by the incredibly talented Trixdraws from DeviantArt. Thank you again, Trix! Official art for the story is by the wonderful Giulia! Links to both artists and their works can be found on my bio here. Please see Chapter 1 for my Standard Disclaimers!

Epilogue 5: Love's Truth

Like a desert needs rain

Like a town needs a name

I need your love

-U2, "Hawkmoon 269"

—O—

Elsa closed her eyes and let herself relax amidst the murmuring noise of the host of people chatting and eating around them. She took another soft bite of her vanilla ice cream cone, savoring the flavor, as she reached to the side for Anna's hand, fingers smoothly lacing against each other in the same loving, comforting way they had done for over a thousand years.

"Are you nervous?"

Elsa used the little finger of her left hand to lower her sunglasses, being careful not to get any ice cream in her pale blonde hair, pulled back into a high ponytail this morning. She looked over the top of her sunglasses to meet Anna's bright blue-green gaze looking back at her, the utter sass in the expression on her adorable face amplified by her coppery hair put up into short, stubby pigtails. "And why, pray tell, would I be nervous?" Elsa asked, her voice low.

"It's not every day we get recognized as Princesses!" Anna replied, cheerily, pointing roughly three hundred meters away to the elaborate stage assembled in front of Cinderella's Castle, in the heart of Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom. In only minutes, the ceremony honoring the sisters from Frozen would begin, formally recognizing the characters' place in pop culture history and confirming their status as official Disney Princesses.

Elsa's expression, however, was not enthused. "You realize that's a step down for us, correct?" she spoke slowly. "Maybe two steps down?"

"Who cares?" Anna gleefully replied, smiling in a way that never failed to make Elsa's heart soar. The time in the Florida sun had accentuated the freckles on Anna's nose, cheeks, shoulders and arms, and Elsa found them even more adorable (and sexy) than usual. The fact that Anna was wearing a spaghetti-strap halter top to show off those very features did an admittedly good job of countering Elsa's irritation toward the upcoming ceremony.

Anna leaned in closer, placing a soft kiss on Elsa's right temple before letting her lips brush against Elsa's sensitive ear. She was careful to keep her voice at a whisper when she spoke. "It's not like they know the whole story, anyway, love. And that's okay, because we know."

Elsa turned, her sunglasses nearly poking Anna in the temple when she did so, prompting a giggle from Anna. The redhead carefully removed Elsa's sunglasses, placed them on the patio table in front of them, leaned forward to take a bite of Elsa's ice cream cone—

"Hey!"

—Then placed a cold, creamy kiss on Elsa's lips before sitting back down in her chair. She smirked jauntily as she licked her lips quickly, never breaking eye contact with Elsa.

The rattle of a chair sliding on the tiled surface made the two of them jump slightly; they turned to see Rapunzel pulling out a seat. "Hey you two!" said the brunette, a pair of yellow large-rimmed sunglasses tucked into the short dark hair over her eyes. "Wow, this place really does have a good view of the event plaza!" she said, taking in the line of sight toward the castle. "Good call, Anna."

"Yep!" Anna said proudly. "Plus we get to watch the whole ceremony without having to fight the crowds up close!"

"Nice! They haven't started yet, have they?"

"Nope."

Seeing Elsa not speaking, Rapunzel turned to look at her other cousin. "What's wrong, Els?" she asked, popping a french fry into her mouth.

Elsa sighed before she turned to look at the brunette, green eyes watching her curiously. "It's just..." Elsa began, only to sigh again. "I wish they told the whole story," she finally said. "Instead of leaving it so ambiguous."

Anna's hands covered Elsa's right hand. "They sell more merchandise that way, Elsa. And again, we know the truth, my love," she said softly. "We've lived the truth." She smiled as she lifted Elsa's hand to her lips. "And that's enough for me."

Now Elsa smiled, the honest, confessional smile that always made Anna's heart speed up when she saw it. "It's enough for me too, Anna," she said. "You will always be enough for me."

"And you for me," Anna replied softly, patting Elsa's hands again before picking up their drink and taking a sip through the straw.

"Fountain drink?" asked Rapunzel, a frown crossing her face. She picked up her bottled water and waved it at the other two. "Hate the watered-down taste as the ice melts, so I skip it entirely."

"Yeah, well, we don't have that problem," Anna said sassily, lifting their drink and shaking it, smiling as the ice rattled crisply inside the cup. "See? We've been here for thirty minutes, and our ice is just fine. Wonder how that happened?"

"Ugh, don't rub it in my face," Rapunzel replied, smiling at the playful banter between her and her younger cousin. She looked around the patio, then back inside the restaurant. "I swear to gods, if Flynn misses this because he's in the bathroom, he'll be on the couch for a week."

Anna giggled again, while Elsa managed to keep quiet but couldn't prevent a grin from crossing her lips.

"So, where are Idunn and Ygrit?" Rapunzel asked as she turned back around to face her cousins.

"At the Beach," replied Anna.

Rapunzel appeared nonplussed. "We're in Central Florida. There is no beach."

Anna laughed. "No, not the 'beach'! The waterpark! Blizzard Beach!"

"Ooohhh," Rapunzel replied, nodding. "I can see that."

"Ygrit said she's not letting them leave until she gets Idunn on that ridiculously high waterslide," Elsa said.

"Good luck with that," replied Rapunzel with a laugh. "She'll have to carry her up the steps."

Anna nodded. "Yeah, she already told Idunn she would."

That made Rapunzel stop to think for a moment. "Hm. I guess she actually might."

"You guess?" Elsa asked, a knowing look on her face.

"Oh my gods, can you imagine?" Rapunzel said, grinning as she leaned in across the table. "Ygrit carrying Idunn up all those steps, slung over her shoulder like a sack of potatoes, Idunn's ass up in the air for everyone to see?!"

All of three of them laughed at that, with Anna ending nearly in tears at the image.

"Poor Idunn!" Elsa managed to get out. "I hope she goes along willingly. She'd be SO embarrassed!"

"And then again when she gets to the bottom, and has the biggest wedgie ever!" crowed Rapunzel.

"I think that's part of the appeal for Ygrit, to be honest," Anna said happily. "She likes getting Idunn to lighten up."

"And to see her in revealing clothing," Elsa added, smiling. "That's a definite plus for Ygrit, and I imagine Idunn enjoys the view of her wife as well."

"Um... are these seats taken?"

At the sound of the strange voice, Anna and Elsa both looked up at the man and woman standing next to their table, then they both started.

"MOTHER?!" Anna yelped.

"FATHER?!" Elsa choked out.

—O—

An awkward silence fell across the table, as the familiar but slightly-different man and woman stood over the table, looking down at the two seated young women, who were holding hands and made no effort to let go. Their parents were still recognizable, although the dress military uniform her father had favored and the stylish but subtle dresses her mother had loved had been replaced by more modern, if inconspicuous, clothes.

"Well, this is uncomfortable," Rapunzel said quietly, placing her water back on the table.

A sudden chill fell over the patio, causing people at multiple tables nearby to shiver abruptly.

"Elsa," Anna gently whispered, squeezing her wife's hand when that failed to work. "It got cold."

"Oh!" Elsa said with a small jerk. Immediately the temperature turned warm again. "Sorry," Elsa said softly to Anna.

"It's okay," replied Anna, with a knowing smile.

"I... I suppose you can sit down," Elsa finally said, looking back up at the obviously anxious couple standing at their table.

"Thank you," replied their mother Idun, smiling at the two of them as Agdar pulled out the patio chair for his wife. She smiled, although the expression clearly bore the look of sadness as well. "You two look lovely," Idun said as Agdar took his own seat, though the two of them maintained a respectable distance between themselves and the three woman already seated at the table. "But more importantly, you look happy."

"We are," Elsa replied calmly, grateful for the centuries of experience with controlling her emotions. Having Anna by her side, holding her hand, always supporting her, was an immense help too.

"We've been happy for a very long time," Anna said, refusing to let the old feelings of bitterness and anger toward their parents disrupt the joy she felt from being with Elsa on this particular day. The phrase No thanks to you burned on the tip of her tongue, but she managed to keep her lips clamped shut before it could slip out.

"We..." Idun started, pausing as she turned to look at Agdar.

"We wanted to apologize," Agdar said quickly. "For... separating the two of you."

Elsa turned to look at Anna, instantly meeting the green-blue eyes she woke up to each morning, went to sleep with each night, lived and breathed and loved for every day of their many, many years together. No words needed to be said between them, as they had already had this discussion centuries ago.

"We forgive you," Elsa said, with Anna nodding as they turned to look at their parents again.

A light snort of surprise drew their attention to Rapunzel. "Oops. Did I say that out loud?" she asked, another fry halfway to her mouth.

"You did," Elsa said quietly. "But that's alright."

"Do you forgive me too?" Rapunzel asked.

"For everything except your attitude," Anna quickly interjected. "There is no excuse for that."

The brunette smiled widely, showing part of her teeth. "I probably deserve that. And if I didn't, I will at some point in the near future."

"Probably," agreed Elsa.

"Definitely," added Anna.

The sound of someone crying quietly drew their attention back to the guests at their table. Idun had her head against Agdar's shoulder, trying to muffle her sobs. Even their father's eyes were slightly red and limned with tears.

"We had hoped you would forgive us," he said, quietly, his voice trembling. "But we...we weren't sure if you could, after we realized how badly we hurt you. Both of you."

Elsa and Anna linked their hands together again. "We forgive you because we choose to live with love, not with hate or resentment," Elsa said calmly, gently rubbing her fingers against Anna's. Even after all this time, it took self-control on Anna's part to keep from getting upset with their parents at what they had done, but the joy that she and Elsa had experienced through their existence together far outweighed that pain from so long ago.

Anna fixed both of them with a serious look at she said, "And because we realized that no matter how badly it hurt for us to have been separated, that maybe we needed to be raised that way."

Seeing the confusion on Agdar's and Idun's faces, Anna continued. "If we had been raised as sisters, seeing and interacting with each other every day, it might have prevented us from ever accepting exactly how we loved each other."

"Then we both could have found ourselves in relationships where we were never truly happy," Elsa continued. "So as horrible and as painful as those years apart were—"

"And they were," Anna added firmly.

"—It still worked out," Elsa finished, too much in love with Anna to be truly exasperated with her over this point.

Elsa looked down at their linked hands, admiring the glittering white wedding band on her hand, then she gently turned their hands over to reveal Anna's matching band, a sight which always made Elsa's heart sing with happiness. It made remembering some of the painful memories from the time of their forced separation more bearable. "You know," she said, looking back up at their parents, "I used to make ice sculptures of you both and smash them."

"What?" said her father, unsure whether to be amused or upset. Even Idun had looked up at that, her face taut with surprise.

Elsa nodded. "Then I'd clean it all up once I was done. I mostly grew out of it by the time I was fourteen."

"Mostly," Anna said knowingly, grinning.

"Yes, well, I had some bad nights even in my teenage years," Elsa mumbled, her face starting to turn slightly pink. "We all had to cope somehow. I was just more subtle about it than Anna was."

"I wanted them to know how mad I was," Anna cheerfully said.

"You made your point quite eloquently," replied Agdar. "Many times."

Anna's smile abruptly faded. She shook her head slowly. "But you never listened, did you?" she asked, sadly. "All I needed was Elsa."

"And you did get me in the end," Elsa said, squeezing Anna's hand fondly.

"Sorry about taking so long, babe!" said a dark-haired man pulling out a chair next to Rapunzel, halting the conversation.

"About time," the short-haired brunette chided, flashing a loving (if slightly cheeky) smile to the man as he sat beside her. "I thought I was going to have to send a rescue party after you."

"Well—Hey, who's this?" he asked, registering that a couple unfamiliar to him was seated at the table with them.

"That," said Rapunzel, gesturing toward Idun and Agdar, "would be Elsa's and Anna's parents."

"Wh— Wait, wait! You mean, like their... real parents?" he asked, confused and surprised and adorable to Rapunzel all at once.

Rapunzel nodded, offering him a french fry from her small basket, now nearly empty. "Yep. Like, their real parents."

Eugene looked at the still-regal man and woman for several seconds, mouth not exactly agape but not entirely closed either. "Huh," he finally muttered. "I bet that's awkward."

"Indeed," Agdar breathed quietly, getting a slight shove under the table from his wife.

"So why are you here?" Elsa finally asked, keeping her tone polite. "Now, I mean. After so many years."

Idun and Agdar turned to look at each other, both appearing uneasy before they turned back to face the others. However, their eyes seemed to glance everywhere but at their two daughters.

"We... felt it best to not intrude," Agdar finally said. "Because of this very awkwardness."

"And..." their mother began, hesitating before continuing. "And because... we didn't feel like we deserved to be part of your lives."

Elsa and Anna each blinked once, but they continued to watch their parents stoically, their expressions not faltering as their parents both struggled against their emotions. They did take each other's hand again, though; Anna took a long sip of her drink, then held it out for Elsa to do the same, sharing the same straw.

"Forgiveness we'll offer," Elsa finally said, sighing resignedly. "But if you're looking for sympathy, I'm afraid you're a thousand years too late."

"Give or take," Anna added, beginning to get irritated despite her best intentions. "Are you even aware that Elsa and I are everything to each other, in all ways? Including sexually?"

The sound of Eugene choking on his drink did nothing to break the glaring contest between Anna, Elsa and their parents.

"That, ah, wasn't going to be something we brought up today," Agdar finally said, pointedly ignoring how red his face had become beneath his neatly trimmed beard.

"You're ignoring the question, Agdar," sighed their mother. She met Anna's angry green-blue gaze. "Yes, Anna, we are aware that the two of you are intimate with each other. But that doesn't mean that we particularly want to discuss—or really even seriously consider—the details of our daughters' sex life."

Now Idun and Agdar truly blushed, a red so intense that it could have been lifted from a ripe tomato. But it was the way the two of them made a point of not looking at the other that caught their daughters' attention. Even after so many years, something about the odd behavior tickled at distant memories for both Anna and Elsa.

"What are you not telling us?" Elsa finally said, breaking the awkward silence. Anna stayed quiet, her sipping turning into a prolonged slurp as she finally hit the bottom of her drink but continued to fight to get the last few drops. Elsa finally slid her eyes to the side, catching Anna's attention; the redhead met Elsa's pointed look but continue to slowly slurp what remained of her vanquished drink.

"Do you mind?" Elsa finally asked.

Anna stopped slurping, lowering the cup and straw enough to flash a salacious smirk to the entire table. "Not usually, but for you I'll make the occasional exception," she said teasingly.

"Good to know," Elsa shot back with her own smirk, happy to play any game Anna wanted. "But—"

"And a cute butt it is!"

Elsa lowered her sunglasses again, to deliver the full force of her sapphire gaze to her mate.

"Not apologizing. Your butt is amazing." Anna set her empty cup down on the table, tongue lightly poking out from between her teeth as she grinned.

"You're just trying to make them more uncomfortable, aren't you?" Elsa asked, already knowing the answer to her question.

Now Anna didn't say anything. She looked away for a few seconds before mumbling, "Maybe."

"This is better than a movie," Eugene whispered to Rapunzel, getting just a quick nod in return; Rapunzel was watching the conversation raptly, not even attempting to be coy about it. She was out of fries, but there was no way she was leaving and missing any of the discussion.

A sigh from across the table, tired and defeated, came from Idun. "What your father is too embarrassed to say, and what I don't want to say myself, is that we actually tried to see you last night."

"Oh?" asked Elsa. "I don't recall you calling. Or coming by the hotel."

"We made the mistake of trying to... manifest, I suppose would be the correct word, in your room," their mother said quickly, face beginning to flush again.

"Oh," Elsa said, thinking back to the previous evening. And night. And what she and Anna had been up to in their hotel room for a significant portion of the night. "OH!" she blurted out, with Anna letting out a surprisingly awkward squeak as she made the same mental connection.

"Yes," their mother replied, her face stoic. "Oh, indeed."

"Why didn't we see you?" Anna asked.

Their father cleared his throat. "As I will recall for the rest of my existence, unfortunately, you both had your backs turned to most of the room, your face was rather firmly pressed against the headboard and Elsa was—"

"DEAR," Idun hissed. "I don't think they need the details. They were there, after all."

Anna nodded, a light blush coloring her skin beneath her freckles. "That would explain me not seeing you two, yeah. I was definitely focused on something else." Turning her head to see the impressive blush coloring Elsa's face and neck, Anna giggled. "I haven't seen you turn that color in a while, love." She leaned over and kissed Elsa's right cheek, savoring the heat she felt against her lips. "Trust me, hon, you have nothing to be embarrassed about. You were in top form last night. Shook my nine worlds, that's for sure."

Trying not to laugh at Elsa's flustered expression, Anna instead turned to her parents, who looked positively mortified. "Oh, come on!" she said, her voice mildly chastising. "It's not like the two of you have never had sex! I mean, Elsa and I had to get here some way, right?"

"W-well, yes, but—" Agdar spluttered.

"So stop making a big deal of it!" Anna said, interrupting her father. "It was an accident, you saw something the two of you didn't want to see, you got embarrassed, Elsa and I have an awesome sex life, water's wet, snow's cold, blah blah blah! What's the problem here?"

"It's difficult for us to... to accept," their mother choked out, her voice tight. "How you... do that for each other..."

Elsa sighed, and when she did so, a light frost formed in the air where she had exhaled. "Mother, father," she said, trying to be as patient as possible. "What did you want for us, when we were children? What was it you wanted for us, ultimately?"

There was a pause before Agdar said, "For you to be married to someone who loved you and who would be good for you, and for whichever of you took the throne, to be a good ruler for Arendelle."

"And to give us grandchildren to love and spoil," Idun added, trying to smile.

There was a heavy pause for a long moment. "Anna has given me all of those, and so, so much more," Elsa said firmly. "Like no else could."

"Just like you gave me all of those and so much more too, Elsa," Anna replied, smiling warmly at her mate. She squeezed Elsa's hand where their hands were clasped atop the table for everyone to see before looking at their parents again. "No one else could ever make me happy or give me the world like Elsa could."

"We know," Agdar sighed, having momentarily regained at least a measure of composure. Being fussed at did not go over well with him, even if it was from his daughters, who might or might not be demigods at this point. He wasn't entirely sure. But still. "It's not what we would have asked for, but..."

"But we love you both, and what we wanted more than anything was for you to both be happy," Idun said. "And if you find that happiness in each other, then... we accept that."

"Thank you," Elsa said; she was more than a bit surprised at the acceptance, a feeling that was very clearly reflected on Anna's shocked face. "Close your mouth, Anna," Elsa said playfully.

"I bet you've never heard that one before, huh, Anna?" Rapunzel added quickly.

"Hi Moms!" called out two voices simultaneously.

The table turned to see two slim young women approaching who were essentially identical in appearance, skin fair with nearly-invisible freckles dotted here and there, with straight platinum blonde hair, sides and back cut just short of their shoulders with delicately feathered bangs. Both had slight builds with small breasts and wore loose v-neck t-shirts, one a pastel yellow, the other a baby blue, cut off slightly above their navels. Each sported a simple silver belly button ring accentuating her trim abdomen, leading to tan low-rise shorts which ended high on their thighs, showing off long, slender legs below, ending with matching blue running shoes speckled with bright colors on both women.

The two of them reached the table at the same time a family at the table adjacent to them left; without breaking stride, the two blondes each grabbed a chair from the just-vacated table and pulled it over to the table with their mothers, positioning themselves between Elsa and Idun. Before they sat down, though, Elin and Erin each hugged one of their mothers, with Elin starting with Anna and Erin with Elsa before they switched to hug the other.

"We didn't think you could make it!" Anna said, delighted at their oldest daughters being with them for the "ceremony."

"Don't you have work you have to take care of?" Elsa asked, curious herself.

"We had a bit of free time that just happened to come up," said Elin, smiling as she and her twin seated themselves.

"So we thought we'd pop in, catch some sun, watch the celebration and spend some time with our favorite parents!" Erin added.

"We're so happy you came," Elsa said, taking Elin's hand and giving it a soft squeeze.

"You realize you can see your nipple piercings through that yellow shirt, right?" Anna said pleasantly, pointing her index finger at Elin.

Rapunzel immediately sprayed the water in her mouth across the the table, while Eugene choked on his chicken tender. Agdar turned a bright red (yet again), while Idun seemed apoplectic for a good five seconds before she started breathing once more.

"MOM!" Elin said, cheeks red and mouth wide open out of shock.

Anna just grinned in reply. "Just thought you should know," she said, popping the lid off her cup and pouring a few pellets of ice into her mouth so she could happily crunch them.

Elsa and Erin both collapsed into laughter, prompting Elin to twist her body in her seat to face her mate. "Like you've got room to laugh, Er!" she said saucily.

Erin stopped laughing long enough to long enough to look at Elin. "That's why I didn't wear yellow today! I thought you were doing it on purpose!" Then she collapsed into laughter again.

Anna pushed her chair back, slowly standing up. She walked behind Elsa and Erin, bending over Elin and hugging her daughter from behind. "I love you no matter what you wear, Ellie-bug," she said softly, unable to resist the surge of love she felt when the grown blonde closed her eyes and leaned back into her mom's embrace.

"Thanks, Mom," Elin said, face still burning red but smiling at the sensation of comfort she could only get from her mothers. "Love you."

"Love you too," Anna said, placing a kiss on the top of Elin's head before standing back up. She turned to look at Erin, who looked entirely too delighted at her twin's embarrassment. The other girl was so distracted that she didn't ever realize Anna was bending over her until it was too late.

"And I love you, my little Erry-berry!" Anna said loudly in a childish voice, right as she grabbed Erin's cheeks and worked them back and forth a few times.

"Ugfh, Mhm!" Erin spluttered, but with her cheeks firmly held between Anna's thumbs and index fingers, she couldn't properly move her mouth to protest. This prompted Elin to break down into outright cackling at her mate's plight.

"Girls," Elsa said, raising her voice slightly to be heard over the suffering and gloating. "We'd like you to meet your grandparents." She indicated Idun and Agdar with her left hand.

Elin turned her head to look at them, while Erin sat up and looked at them as Anna finally released her cheeks.

"Hi," said Erin, oddly shy.

"Hello," Elin added immediately after.

"Mother, father," Elsa said as Anna retook her seat beside her. "These are your oldest grandchildren, Elin and Erin."

"Twins," Idun said, her face lighting up with grandmotherly pride. "And so beautiful!"

The girls couldn't help but blush slightly at the compliments; it was a natural reaction, after all, around grandparents.

"That lovely hair obviously comes from Elsa," Idun guessed, "but your eyes look like Anna's! Just different enough from Elsa's to tell."

"That's because they are Anna's eyes," Elsa said. "And my hair. They're our children."

"Something else we owe to the power of True Love," Anna said proudly. "With some help from Elsa's magic."

To their credit, Idun and Agdar didn't seem to doubt the twins' parentage in the least. "They take after both of their mothers, then," Idun said proudly.

A sudden coughing fit from Rapunzel, which only partially concealed a roughly muttered, "More than you know," seized Agdar's and Idun's attention.

Anna knew better than to encourage their cousin, but when her eyes glanced toward Erin and Elin, she saw the unmistakable look of barely-restrained mischief gleaming in both girls' eyes. "Girls, what are you—"

"Yeah, we're definitely our mothers' daughters, right Er?" Elin said, the tone in her voice charged with delight.

Meeting her lover's eyes and sporting a matching grin herself, Erin replied, "Oh, absolutely!" before sitting up, moving to the edge of her seat, grabbing Elin's shirt with both hands and pulling her twin into a passionate kiss.

"Oh, sweet Freya," Elsa mumbled, rolling her eyes and deciding now would be a good time to go refill her and Anna's drinks.

"Gods, you go, girls!" Rapunzel said gleefully as the two young blondes began to really get into the kiss. Elin's arms were already wrapped around Erin's slight torso, her hands starting to slide up Erin's shirt when Anna cleared her throat in a way that remained unmistakable to the two young goddesses even after a millennium, causing them to stop instantly. With hands in a nearly-incriminating position, in Elin's case.

"I think you've proven your point, girls," Anna said, part of her hesitant to tell her daughters to cool it with what truly was a display of their love for each other; however, this was a public place. "There are children at some of the tables nearby. Let's keep the displays of love at a PG rating, please."

"Yes, Mom," Elin and Erin replied simultaneously, their chastised tone of voice unmistakable to any parent. Elin withdrew her hands from beneath Erin's shirt, while Erin removed her left leg from where she had draped it across Elin's thighs, obviously in preparation for climbing into her lover's lap, and sat back in her own chair.

"Still have any doubts that they're both Elsa's and Anna's kids?" asked Rapunzel, a delighted smile stretched across her face.

"No," Agdar said defeatedly.

"None in the least," added Idun, shaking her head slowly.

"Flynn, go get me some more fries," Rapunzel said, holding out the empty fry boat. "Please," she added, leaning forward to give him a kiss on the lips.

"Anything for you, babe," Eugene said, placing another kiss on Rapunzel's forehead before standing up.

"Thanks, hottie," Rapunzel replied loudly, grinning as her husband blushed slightly and went back to the food counter. "So any other family members coming today?" she asked, turning back to her cousins.

"Kari, Emilia, their girls and their accompanying husbands and wives were at Typhoon Lagoon all day yesterday," Anna said.

"What a surprise," Rapunzel teased. "Probably doubled the redhead count at the park by themselves."

"Probably," Anna replied, laughing as Elsa returned with a freshly filled cup.

"How do you keep those redheads out of trouble, Elsa?" Rapunzel said, looking past Anna.

Elsa shrugged. "I'll tell you if I ever figure it out, Zel."

Anna playfully pushed Elsa's shoulder. "You like it when I'm trouble!"

"Well, I have had plenty of opportunities to get used to it," Elsa teased back.

"We don't expect any of the Sea Brigade to make it today," Anna said, turning back to Rapunzel and yielding that one to Elsa, who smiled smugly behind her wife. "I have no doubt they're all worn out. It takes time to readjust to mortal bodies again, and this is the first time for several of them."

"Yeah, things do feel slightly different," Rapunzel said. "Not bad, not weird, just... different." She looked at both Elsa and Anna and Erin and Elin. "But it seems like the four of you have adjusted just fine."

Elsa and Anna turned to look at each other, flashing looks of silent communication. The twins, by contrast, simply leaned against each other, closing their eyes and relaxing with those quiet smiles they always had done so well.

"We like changes of scenery every so often," Elsa finally said. "And the twins and Anna and I have a bit more freedom to move around than most."

"To put it lightly," Rapunzel said, a knowing smile on her face. "I figured that part out when you came to visit me that first time." She turned to look at Elin and Erin. "I imagine you two have made more than the occasional trip down, if you've, ah, acclimated so well to modern life," she said, pointing a finger in the direction of the small protrusions visible where the girls' nipples (and piercings) were poking against the fabric of their shirts.

Elin's face began to turn red again, with Erin's doing so to a lesser extent. "It's fun to experience new things," Elin said, meeting Rapunzel's emerald eyes. "No apologies for that."

"I like them," Erin said softly, gazing at her twin lovingly. She leaned her head forward to place a soft kiss on Elin's jaw.

Elin turned to meet Erin's beautiful blue-green eyes. "That's all that matters, Er," she said tenderly, reaching up to caress Erin's cheek.

"So what about Lise and Harald?" Rapunzel asked, finally deciding to let the twins off the hook. "Are they here somewhere?"

"They'll be close to the stage," Erin said, finally breaking the loving gaze she had held with Elin. "Lise loves all this. She knows her moms are the coolest."

"We think they and Kari's family are coming by to see you two tonight," Elin said. "They don't want to take a chance on overwhelming you right now."

"You think?" Elsa said, a knowing look on her face.

The twins sighed dramatically, identical in the intonation and timing.

"You two are such drama queens," said Rapunzel. "You don't fool me with all that calm, cool and collected act you put on."

Elin stuck her tongue out at Rapunzel, while Erin flipped her off.

"Yeah," Rapunzel said, laughing, "that's what I'm talking about."

"What are you talking about?" Eugene said as he set another basket of fries down in front of Rapunzel, complete with another bottled water.

"Why are you spending your money on that?" Anna teased, pointing at the water. "You realize that my woman here would have been happy to refill it for you, right?"

"Didn't hear her offer, now did I?" Rapunzel sassed back, reaching for the water before Elsa flicked a finger in its direction, causing it to freeze solid in the bottle. Rapunzel's hand stopped just centimeters shy of the bottle. She looked up, meeting Elsa's smug look. "You bitch," she said, laughing.

"What was that, Zel?" Elsa said, her voice syrupy sweet. "I can't hear you too well; I think your throat might be a bit dry."

Erin flicked her fingers toward the poor bottle of water; it instantly returned to a liquid state with a tiny shudder.

"You always were my favorite," Rapunzel said with a grin, grabbing the water and twisting the top off.

"And which one would your favorite be?" Erin asked, causing Rapunzel to pause with the bottle halfway to her mouth.

A guilty grin spread across Rapunzel's face. "E-Er... in...?" she hesitantly said.

"Correct," replied Erin, with a satisfied smile.

Rapunzel immediately gulped down a third of the water, not sure when she would get another chance.

"Told you I was her favorite," Erin said smugly, lightly pushing Elin's arm.

Elin gave her mate a dubious look. "You know she guessed, right?"

"What does that matter?"

Elin considered that for a few seconds, then she shrugged. "Fair enough."

"So why are you two here?" Ana asked, the tone in her voice making it pointedly obvious to whom she was speaking.

Agdar and Idun looked at each other before Agdar finally spoke. "Because... we're proud of you both," he said, his voice quiet but firm.

"We are," Idun agreed. "Not just for who you became and the children you raised, but for what you did for Arendelle and its people."

"The world changes quickly," Elsa said, uncomfortable taking too much credit for what she and Anna accomplished during their mortal lives.

"Yes, but look at how happy and successful people there are today, even after hundreds of years," Idun persisted.

"Don't be shy, Moms," Erin said, patting Elsa's wrist. "The two of you truly accomplished tremendous things. You brought peace and prosperity that's lasted for many generations."

"We only started things," Elsa insisted, shaking her head. "It was you two and your sisters and—"

"Mother," Elin said, carefully cutting Elsa off. "If it weren't for you and Mom, there wouldn't be an Arendelle, or a Southern Isles. Or anything else at all, more than likely."

"We know," Erin said, settling back in her chair smugly. "We went back and watched."

Elin got out of her chair and sat in Erin's lap. "Several times," she added as Erin's arms wrapped around her chest. "It was awesome. ALL of it."

Erin lifted her head to look forward over Elin's shoulder. "You two really kicked some ass," she said to her mothers, pride evident in her voice.

Elin turned her head, holding that position until Erin leaned forward, letting Elin whisper in her ear. Erin looked at Elin briefly before nodding, which brought a smile out on Erin's face.

"We, uh..." Elin said softly. "We... let your parents see what you two did before any of us were born. At how you both saved Arendelle, then how you saved everything."

Anna and Elsa turned to look at each other. "Isn't that... against the, uh, rules?" Anna said. "Or something?"

"Not if we knew we were going to do it," Erin said smugly.

"Can't fight fate," Elin added with a smirk.

"You know, that expression on your face might become permanent if you keep it up," Anna said.

"Smugness isn't a very attractive look," Elsa said, a hint of disapproval in her voice.

"Uh, it is to me," Elin said, lovingly squeezing Erin's bare thigh. "I love it when you get cocky, babe."

Erin's left eyebrow lifted up slightly. "Oh, I know," she said slyly. "Just like I love looking at you in that yellow top." She kissed Elin on the lips. "Sooooo sexy," she purred.

The sound of Agdar awkwardly clearing his throat interrupted the growing incestuous lovefest, much to Erin's and Elin's annoyance.

"We wanted to be here so we could tell you both how much we love you, and how proud we are of you," Agdar said, trying to ignore the redness in his cheeks as well as Elin playfully "touching up" Erin's lip gloss with the tip of her index finger. (He had never worn lip gloss and thus never tried to touch it up, but he was fairly sure it didn't involve sticking the tip of your finger in someone's mouth and letting her suck on it salaciously.)

"That's... very sweet of you," Elsa said pleasantly; she was much more used to Erin's and Elin's displays of affection. She turned her attention back to her oldest daughters. "Please stop trying to make your grandparents die of embarrassment. They've been dead a long time."

"Sorry not sorry," Erin said cheekily, giving the tip of Elin's finger a final kiss before her twin got up and moved back to her own chair.

"Seconded," Elin replied as she sat down and popped her index finger into her own mouth.

"Not all of us are as exhibitionistic as the two of you," Anna said, taking a drink of the ice water Elsa had refilled her cup with. Surprised at the change, she slid her eyes to the side to look at Elsa.

("You've had enough soda," Elsa whispered. "It's bad for you.")

"Very true," Elin replied in a sing-song voice, looking to her sister and lover with fondness.

"And there are children around, girls," Elsa said, gesturing faintly around them. "Let's let them retain their childhood a bit longer, shall we?"

"This generation grows up fast," Erin grumbled. She wanted to suck on her lover's finger a bit more. But Splash Mountain would certainly be fun later, at least.

"All the more reason to not speed up the process," countered Anna (who would have been happy to suck on Elsa's finger, truth be told, but she realized that their current situation wasn't the most appropriate locale for such amorous behavior).

"Yes, Mom," Erin groaned, recognizing the maternal tone in Anna's voice.

"Yes, Mom," Elin chirped happily as well. "It's a pretty day, we're here with friends and family, we have some time off to relax and enjoy the sights, so we might as well be in good moods, right?"

"And it's for a special occasion!" Rapunzel said, holding up a fresh fry that had just been handed to her by her husband. "Even if Elsa has been something of a grump about it."

At that comment Anna laughed, while Elin and Erin both snickered quietly, covering their mouths politely.

Chewing her fry happily, Rapunzel continued, "Y'know, why have you been so blasé about this little ceremony, Els? I know you and Anna aren't big on attention as a whole, and I know that the story that Disney has put out isn't the whole story, but I'd think you'd have been happier about this overall."

"Ohmigods!" Erin said rapidly, leaning forward.

"You mean she doesn't know?!" squealed Elin, matching her twin's body language down to the gleeful grin on both blondes' faces.

"Yeah, Elsa," Anna teased. "Why don't you tell Zel the reason why you've got a big case of sour grapes for Disney World?"

Elsa's blue eyes quickly slid toward Anna, narrowing as they did so. "Don't make me freeze your drink, Anna," she said in a low voice.

"It wouldn't stay frozen," Anna replied knowingly. "The cold wouldn't want me to get dehydrated in this heat and humidity... and neither would you."

Elsa sighed dramatically. "You can be so insufferable when you're right."

"Can't I, though?" Anna said cheerily. "It's part of my charm."

"Wait, wait, wait, wait!" Rapunzel said, waving her right hand through the air over the table. She looked at the twins. "What do you mean, 'she doesn't know'?" she said. "How do you not know that... I don't know?"

"I'm confused," Eugene said, shaking his head, "about who doesn't know who doesn't know."

"We don't look at everything that's coming up," Elin said, crossing her arms and acting mildly offended, which didn't fool anyone for a second.

"Yeah, that'd take all the fun out of things," Erin added. "Most of the fun, anyway. Some things are fun even when you know they're coming."

"Some people, too," Elin said quietly, looking heatedly at Erin and blithely ignoring the combination of blushes and groans around the table.

"Gods, you two and sex," Anna said, teasingly.

"I like sex!" Elin said, covering Erin's hand with her own. "Making love to Er makes my soul happy!"

"Believe me, we know," Anna said. "You two never really did much to hide it once you figured it out. It's a wonder we didn't walk in on you more than we did."

"You walked in on your own children like... that?" Agdar asked, a bit hesitantly.

Anna nodded, while Elsa replied, "Several times." Elsa smiled. "We just always apologized for disturbing them and quietly left them alone. We knew they were meant to be together and that they'd always love and respect each other, and that's all any mother could ask for her children."

"We learned from the two of you to never be ashamed of whom we loved," Erin said with a smile for her mothers. She flipped her hand over to slide her fingers between those of Elin's, clasping her mate's hand. "It's a lesson that more people could stand to learn."

"We agree," Elsa said, patting the clasped hands of her oldest daughters. "True Love should always be cherished, never shamed."

"Absolutely," echoed Rapunzel, taking her husband's hand. "And don't think for a fucking hot second that you're getting out of answering my question, Elsa."

Elin and Erin both giggled, while Anna laughed again. Elsa rolled her eyes and looked away, her eyes going to the stage where music was beginning to play, signaling the start of the ceremony.

"Well, now I'm curious as well," Idun said, leaning forward. "Why don't you like this place, Elsa? It seems quite... grand."

Elsa sighed, realizing that she wasn't going to get out of answering the question, when she felt Anna squeeze her hand. She looked up, meeting Anna's animated green-blue eyes gazing at her with both adoration and amusement. "Go ahead," Elsa said to her wife. If anyone had to tell it, best it be Anna. She was there, after all.

Anna smiled, the bright look in her eyes never leaving. She leaned forward and kissed Elsa on the lips while her left hand tenderly held Elsa's right cheek, holding the kiss and touch for two seconds before sitting back down in her chair.

"Let's just say," Anna said, turning to look at her parents, then at Rapunzel and Eugene, "that between Elsa and me, Elsa is the only one who's actually been fired... from playing HERSELF."

There was silence at the table for several seconds, during which Anna practically squirmed in her seat with barely-controlled mirth and Elsa clung to Anna's left hand like a lifeline, her eyes firmly fixed on the table before her. Then Rapunzel began to sputter with laughter, her hand flying up to cover her nose and mouth, before her chest began to shake as her entire body convulsed with laughter. Eugene followed suit, with Erin and Elin both laughing but with notably more self-control. Even their parents started to laugh, although they did it with a dignity befitting royalty.

"Yes, yes, it's all funny," Elsa said, slightly irritated. She didn't like being reminded of being fired, no matter how ridiculous or ultimately frivolous the job had been.

"Oh sweet mercy!" Eugene said, leaning back in his seat, laughing uncontrollably.

Rapunzel actually started to hiccup from laughing, which made her nearly pee on herself. "HOW do you..." she said, pausing to try to breathe, "...get fired from..." pausing to hiccup, "playing YOURSELF?!"

Elsa mumbled something quickly, so soft and rapid as to be incomprehensible.

"I'm sorry," Rapunzel gasped, holding her sides against the burning in her ribs as she tried in vain to stop laughing. "What was that?"

A bit more loudly (but not much more), Elsa said something that sounded like, "Affrizammaskim."

"Oh gods!" Rapunzel said, swallowing a few times as she finally managed to stop laughing momentarily. "I still couldn't understand you!"

Elsa's face turned a red that was almost never seen on her fair features. "I FROZE A MAN'S SCROTUM, OKAY?!" she practically shouted.

Immediately the table went silent. Thankfully the loud music now playing from the stage at the ceremony site not far away drowned out what had said for most of the tables around them, but several of the closest tables had people turn and look, some of them laughing but most politely turning back around before allowing themselves to smile or laugh.

Then Rapunzel REALLY sputtered, spittle flying all over the table in front of her.

"I was aiming for his camera—his cell phone, I mean," Elsa said awkwardly, trying to stop the laughing of everyone except Anna, who smiled and slid her chair closer so she could hug Elsa.

(Anna thought a flustered Elsa was one of the most adorable things she had ever seen.)

"It was an accident that I froze his scrotum too. He had put his phone in his pocket!"

"Sure, Elsa," Rapunzel said, nodding her head. "We believe you," she said, not meaning a word of it.

"It's true!" Elsa said, face heated. "He had it coming, anyway! He was such a... a... JERK!"

"It definitely shut him up," Anna agreed. "And he was being an asshole."

"He kept ogling Anna, and then he made this rude comment about redheads being 'good in the sack,' which only infuriated me more, but the final straw—" Elsa paused for a moment to compose herself, restarting with a slightly calmer voice. "The final straw was him going on about something called 'Helsa,' which I had NEVER heard of! And then when he pulled out his phone to show me some of the pictures... I- I- I just lost it!"

"In Elsa's defense, it was definitely the best and most realistic portrayal of the character of Elsa that Disney World had ever seen," Anna said cheerfully. "All the kids and the other adults present couldn't believe how realistic the magic looked and felt." She turned to Elsa and ran her fingertips down Elsa's left cheek, ending by lighting touching the tip of her index finger to the tip of Elsa's nose. "They couldn't handle your awesomeness, my love. That's all it was."

Now Elsa finally smiled, though her face was still notably red. "No, only you can handle that," she said softly.

"You got that right," Anna replied happily. "Definitely not a certain employer."

"I was fired as soon as I got to Costume," Elsa sighed. "So Anna quit on the spot, too."

"We're a package deal, babe," Anna said, still beaming.

"They fired you for a first offense?" Rapunzel asked. "I mean, you did freeze a guy's—" (she covered her mouth and snickered) "—scrotum, but still!"

"Weeeelll, we had kinda gotten written up before..." Anna said.

"For what?" asked Rapunzel, before the obvious reason hit her. "OH."

"Yeah," Anna said knowingly, smiling. "Hey, I'm married to her! Of course I'm gonna kiss her!"

"And grope me..." Elsa said patiently.

"Yeah..."

"And fondle me..."

"Yeah!"

"And there was this one time in the Haunted Mansion..." Elsa said.

Anna grumbled slightly. "Didn't realize they had cameras everywhere throughout that ride..." she said. "Only got to second base before we got yelled at."

"We probably should have taken the costumes off, in hindsight."

"Maybe."

"They also didn't like how we signed our names for autographs."

Anna lifted her right index finger. "THAT was a ridiculous point. We've signed our names our way for much longer than this place has been here."

"But we couldn't exactly tell them that, could we?"

"Well, we could have, but they wouldn't have believed us."

"Very true," Elsa said, nodding. "And the wigs."

"Ugh!" Anna groaned. "Those stupid wigs! There was no way I was going to wear those. Too hot and too itchy. And obviously we didn't need them."

Elsa smiled as she looked at her parents, then at Rapunzel and Eugene again. "All told, we didn't last a week." she admitted.

"Playing yourselves," Rapunzel clarified, her delight evident.

"Playing ourselves," Elsa agreed.

"Like I said," Anna spoke, "they couldn't handle our awesomeness."

"Of course not," Rapunzel said, resting her left hand on Anna's right knee and squeezing it lightly. "Their loss," the brunette said with a smile.

The speech that began over at the main stage draped a quiet over the veranda where they and several others were sitting, the only noise beyond the ceremony for the next few minutes from customers coming and going, leaving a table or claiming one just vacated.

Chairs had been shifted to let everyone at the table watch the events over the distance, and with her and Elsa now beside each other, it was second nature for Anna to lean her head over onto Elsa's shoulder. Similarly, it was second nature for Elsa's right arm to come up around Anna's shoulder, and for Anna's right hand to rise to gently take the fingers of Elsa's right hand. The ceremony played out relatively quickly, and before long the crowds in the distance were clapping and cheering as Anna and Elsa were formally recognized as Princesses of the Magic Kingdom.

"Do you feel any different?" Elsa said teasingly as she turned to ask Anna, meeting adorable freckles and bright blue-green eyes gazing back at her.

"Mmmm," Anna hummed briefly, "I still feel loved, I still feel safe, I still feel respected and I still feel complete." She smiled at her mate. "So, no, I don't feel any different from how you always make me feel."

"Nice, Mom," Erin said.

"Very smooth," Elin agreed.

"I just speak the truth," Anna said as she closed her eyes and relaxed into Elsa's embrace.

Until a tentative poke against her back got her attention.

A second poke quickly followed the first, causing Anna to sit up and turn around, with Elsa doing the same immediately after.

A little girl stood looking up at them, a blonde Elsa wig atop her head. The thick single braid was nearly touching the ground behind the girl, likely not helped by her looking up at the two women. She looked like she was maybe four or five, and she shifted anxiously from foot to foot as she stood staring at the two women seated before her.

"Well, hello," Anna said pleasantly, smiling for the girl. "I love your hair!"

"Thanks!" the girl replied. "Your hair is very pretty too!"

"Thank you," Anna said back.

"What's your name?" Elsa asked. "Are you a princess too?"

"My name is Madison," the little girl said. "I'm not really a princess, but my mommy and daddy say that all little girls are princesses here."

"Then we're very pleased to meet you, Your Highness," Elsa said, tipping her head slightly in respect.

"Why aren't you over there?" the girl asked, mild confusion crossing her face.

"Over where?" Anna asked.

"Over there," the girl said, pointing over Anna's shoulder toward the castle. "At the ceremony."

Elsa and Anna turned their heads slightly to look at each other briefly before they looked back at the girl.

"I recognized you," the girl whispered, although it came out as more of a stage whisper and not particularly quiet. She grinned.

Blue eyes and blue-green eyes slid toward each other for a half-second, then they returned their attention to the little girl. Smiles crept across the faces of both Anna and Elsa as they regarded Madison.

"Don't tell anyone," Anna whispered back, as if she were letting Madison in on a grand secret.

"We don't like crowds," Elsa added.

Madison's eyes widened, as if she wasn't really expecting them to agree with her deduction. "I wanted to watch over there, but I got sunburned the other day, and my mommy and daddy don't want me to be in the sun too much today."

"That's because they love you and care about you," Elsa said. "The sun and heat are very strong here. Make sure you wear your sunscreen."

Madison nodded. "It's pretty hot," she agreed. Suddenly her eyes widened. She leaned in closer and whispered, this time more effectively, to Elsa, "Can you make it cooler?"

Elsa smiled a bit wider. She looked around before leaning forward to the girl. "Promise you won't tell anybody?" she asked with a whisper.

The girl nodded enthusiastically, grinning.

With a tiny flick of her left index finger where her left hand was resting on Anna's thigh, Elsa lowered the temperature several degrees on the veranda. "Is that better?" she whispered to Madison.

Feeling the cooler temperature tickle her bare arms and legs, the girl nodded happily. "Uh huh," she replied quietly. "Thank you."

"How did you recognize us?" Anna asked. The entire exchange was precious, and it was taking much of her self-control to not squeal with delight.

"The way you hugged and kissed," Madison replied matter-of-factly. "You really love each other." Her smile threatened to turn into a tiny frown as she added, "You're not very good at hiding it."

Anna beamed proudly at the astute little girl. "That's because we don't want to hide it," she said quietly.

"Exactly," said Elsa. "There's nothing in this world—or any other—that I'm more proud of than loving her."

"Even us?" said Erin, acting lightly offended.

"Madison, these are two of our daughters," Elsa said, leaning away from Anna enough to let the girl look at the two young blondes across the table. The twins waved cheerily at the little girl from across the table, both smiling proudly as they held hands.

"They have your pretty hair!" Madison said, excitedly.

Elsa smiled. "Well, yes, but... so do you," she finished with a whisper, getting a beaming smile from the young girl. "And they have their other mother's eyes."

"Is Anna their other mommy?"

"She is," Elsa said proudly.

Madison was by now grinning from ear-to-ear. She looked at Anna, taking in the freckles on her face and neck before she said, "Where's the streak in your hair?"

"It went away a long time ago," Anna said. "For years, when I couldn't see Elsa, that little bit of her hair in mine was all I had of her. But then, when our love for each other thawed my heart, I didn't need that little streak of hair anymore, because I had all of Elsa. And we've ruled together, lived our lives together and been together ever since."

The little girl looked confused for a moment. "But why isn't that in the movie?" she asked.

"Because it's a movie," Anna said quietly. "And movies don't always show everything. But it showed enough. It showed that Elsa and I love each other enough to risk everything to protect each other. And it showed that True Love is the most powerful force in the universe, because it can thaw a frozen heart."

Madison looked at Anna with awe in her bright eyes for a few seconds before she spoke again. "Will you... will you sign my autograph book?"

"Of course we will," Anna said, without hesitation.

"We're probably not supposed to," Elsa said quietly.

Anna looked at her wife. "So?" she asked seriously.

Acknowledging her mate's point, Elsa nodded once and didn't protest further. When the girl proffered her autograph book and a purple pen, Anna took them and signed her name with a flourish before handing them to Elsa, who did the same.

As Madison eagerly accepted the book and pen as Elsa handed them back to her, she said, "Do your daughters want to sign too?"

"We'd love to, sweetie, but we can't," Elin said politely.

"But thank you for asking," Erin said. "You're just the cutest thing!"

The girl finally looked around the table. She passed over Agdar and Idun without much hesitation, but when her eyes crossed Eugene and Rapunzel, her mouth opened comically into an O shape.

Rapunzel quickly held a raised index finger to her lips before the girl could say anything; satisfied that Madison wasn't going to shriek, Rapunzel smiled and winked at her. She glanced at her cousins before quietly extending her open hands. The visibly shaking girl handed her autograph book and pen over to the brunette, who found the page where Anna and Elsa had signed and then signed her name on the page facing theirs.

She looked over her shoulder at Eugene, who smiled warmly back at his wife. "Pretty sure that particular autograph book is for princesses only," he said.

"If it is, we can make an exception for my husband," Rapunzel said, handing the book to him with a playful look on her face. Eugene shook his head, still smiling, and signed his name below Rapunzel's before handing the book back to his wife.

Rapunzel leaned over and kissed him on the lips, lingering several seconds. "Good boy," she said lovingly. She turned and handed the book back to Madison.

Poor Madison seemed to be in shock, standing there with a grin stuck on her face. Anna gently took the book and pen from her cousin, holding them in front of the girl until Madison carefully took them back.

"Can... can I get a picture?" Madison asked hesitantly. "Of you two?"

Anna and Elsa looked at each other for a long moment.

"Please?"

The plaintive note in the girl's voice found the heartstring in each mother at the table and plucked it firmly.

"We'd love to," Elsa finally said, with Anna nodding in agreement.

The girl jumped up and down in place before turning and running to a nearby table, where a young couple watched her, smiles firmly affixed on their faces. The girl shook animatedly while she told them something, then she handed the autograph book and pen over to her father as her mother picked up a digital camera and followed the girl back over to the table.

"C'mon Mama!" Madison said loudly, tugging on her mother's arm. The woman appeared somewhat abashed, a nervous smile on her face as she glanced at Elsa and Anna, but she dutifully followed her daughter until they were standing before the blonde and redhead.

"Sorry about this," the woman offered politely.

"Nothing to apologize for," Anna replied pleasantly. "They're only kids once."

"It's no bother," Elsa added with a smile. "Truly."

The two of them left their chairs, kneeling down on each side of Madison as they each embraced the girl with one arm. In front of the girl, Elsa curled the fingers of her right hand while Anna did the same with her left hand; the two of them put their hands together in front of Madison to form the shape of a heart.

"Say, 'Love'," Elsa said as they posed, making Madison grin as her mother took several quick pictures.

The woman was smiling widely when she finished, covering her mouth in a gesture of emotion, or possibly trying to conceal laughter, as all of them stood. "Thank you both, so much," Madison's mother said.

"I told you it was the REAL Anna and Elsa!" Madison said gleefully, trying to keep her voice low but not having much success. "They're here with their family!"

Meeting the woman's curious gaze (she appeared to be in her mid-twenties, still young enough to harbor some childhood dreams), Elsa and Anna slid against each other, Anna's right arm going around Elsa's waist while Elsa's left arm mirrored the action around Anna.

"It happens all the time," Elsa said smoothly.

"Yeah, we don't mind at all," added Anna. "It's sweet, actually."

Madison's mother examined the two a bit longer before finally clearing her throat and saying, "Well, it's really a remarkable resemblance. Thank you two again."

"It was our pleasure!" Anna answered. She leaned over and tousled Madison's brown hair. "You be good, sweetie, okay?"

"I will," the little girl replied seriously.

"And always remember that love is the most precious thing we have," Elsa added.

Madison nodded, then she rushed forward and threw her arms around Elsa's legs, then she repeated the gesture with Anna. "I love you," she mumbled softly.

"Aww," Anna said as she and Elsa knelt again, both of them embracing the young girl. "We love you, too, Madison."

Elsa placed a soft kiss on top of the girl's head. "We hope life blesses you as it has us," Elsa whispered to the girl. As she did so, a cold wind blew across the veranda, raising goosebumps and spreading chills among the people seated at the tables nearby for several seconds before it ceased as suddenly as it appeared.

The two of them slowly released the girl from their group hug, smiling at her as she waved once and walked back to her mother, who took her by the hand and led her back over to the table where her father was waiting. His eyes appeared to be glistening with tears, as Madison's mother's eyes had been right before she turned around.

Quietly Elsa and Anna moved back to their chairs, taking their seats again calmly. The table grew quiet as everyone watched the two of them, with expressions ranging from pride to amusement.

Idun reached across the table and gently covered Elsa's hand with her own. She extended her other hand toward Anna until Anna took her hand as well. "Your father and I are honored to be your parents," she said, her voice thick with emotion.

"Thank you," both Anna and Elsa said as one, each smiling at the easy synchronicity.

"That little girl's going to have the best vacation pics ever," Rapunzel said, leaning back in her chair and taking a sip of her nearly-empty drink. "Even if two cute little shits photobombed you."

"You did not," Elsa asked as she looked at her oldest daughters, not entirely surprised, but still. Anna's mouth just gaped open in shock.

"Only the last few!" Elin said quickly. "We made sure she got some serious ones first."

"That was a sweet little girl!" Anna managed to say.

"And now she's got even more awesome pictures with us in them, instead of ten or twelve of the same two people," Erin replied.

"I don't think she took ten or twelve," Anna shot back.

Erin shrugged. "You never know."

Quiet snickers and giggles could be heard around the table as a comfortable, pleasant silence began to settle around them. For the first time in centuries, Idun and Agdar felt like the rift between them and their daughters was healing, a feeling that was matched by their two daughters. Now they had even more to explore in terms of grandchildren, in-laws, great-grandchildren and so much more.

Anna finished the water in her cup and set it down on the table. A wicked grin crossed her face, only seen immediately by Elsa, who elected to say nothing.

"I bet your nipple piercings are visible in those pictures."

"...MOM!"
