WARNING - slight Age of Ultron spoilers ahead. They're pretty minor but I thought I should say just in case. Anyway this is just a little insight into Rosie's future, I hope you enjoy it.

Epilogue

Friday 17th April 2014, 14:53 – Lenox Hill Hospital, New York

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.

Jayden groaned as his eyes flickered open. As soon as they were open he had to slam them shut again due to heaven's light shining down on him. Grumbling he rolled his head to the side he tried opening his eyes a couple of times giving them time to adjust. His whole body ached as he struggled to figure out what was going on. It was then it hit him like a tonne of bricks. He was in a hospital bed after losing consciousness due to losing too much blood because of the wounds his crazy, monster ex-girlfriend gave him. That's when an even worse thought hit him. He was going to be slagged off for this for years. Groaning he rolled his head to the left. At that point his door opened revealing a nurse.

"Oh Mr Kulger! It's good to see you're awake!" she cried. Jayden began to sit up with the nurse quickly running over to help him.

"How long have I been out?" he croaked.

"Only three days, you lost a lot of blood. If you don't mind me asking what happened?" she asked.

"It's probably best you don't know," he laughed. The nurse was clear disappointed but nodded none the less.

"You gave as all quite the shock when you came in. It's not every day that an Avenger drops off a half dead boy outside off A&E. Seeing Iron Woman definitely put a spin to the night shift," she giggled. Jayden watched her carefully as she went around checking the numerous machines he was hooked up to. A little bit of small talk passed between them until she went to leave the room. She was half way out the door when the nurse turned back.

"Oh before I forget, Iron Women asked me to give you a message. She said to try not to get into any more trouble. I'll go phone you're family and tell them you're awake, they're very worried," she smiled. With a quick goodbye she left Jayden alone in the room with only the beeping of his heart monitor for company. Looking to the end of his bed he let a sigh escape him. He knew what that meant. She was saying goodbye. She didn't actually need to say the word he understood. She blamed herself for him getting hurt like this and now she was trying to protect him by detaching herself from him. As much as he didn't want her to he knew there was no point in trying to argue. This was goodbye but hopefully it was just for now.

Monday 13th April 2015, 16:35 – Avenger Institute Training Grounds

Rosie stood right hand on hips as she watched Thor and Mello disappear in a pillar of light that was the Bifrost. Looking at the burnt pattern on the ground she ran to catch up with Tony and Steve who had already started walking towards Tony's parked car.

"And what about you Rosie?" Steve asked turning to his godchild. Rosie looked around confused completely missing the first part of the conversation. Opening her mouth to ask what was going on Tony cut her off.

"She's coming with me of course," Tony answered simply. Figure out what the question was about Rosie began to laugh. Tony seriously thought she was going to live the simple rich girl life in California? No way. Her laugh caused the two men to look at her in shock.

"And go into retirement like you old man? No way. I'll go back home and my team and I will handle New York I guess," she explained, "Seeing Tony's disapproving glare she decided to continue, "Don't look at me like that Tony! I'm not going to up route again! I've got a couple of years left of school, I've got friends, I've got a job I love, I can also take care of the Stark Industries base there, I'm happy! I'm not leaving!" Steve just looked awkwardly between the two Starks as a fight began to brew.

"Says the girl who got herself kidnapped by the twins and Ultron," he growled. Rosie just glared at him.

"That was a minor mistake and plus you created the killer robot that I warned you against making!" she cried. Tony pushed Steve out the way as he stormed over to his daughter.

"And where will you stay? The Tower? It's still pretty wrecked," Tony glared at her completely ignoring the Ultron quip. Rosie stopped in her place glaring at her Father hands on hip. She wasn't going. There was just no way.

"I was thinking more along the lines of the mansion," she smirked. Seeing Tony's face she sighed knowing that this fight was going to get them nowhere.

"Look Tony I'll be fine, I can take care of myself and if that's not enough Pete and the others will be watching over me. You like Peter and you'll know he'll keep me safe. I'll be fine," she whispered soothingly. Tony looked at her for a minute before sighing. He knew she was right. Looking at her calm face he nodded slowly.

"Alright but as soon as something goes wrong call one of us, take care of yourself and keep in touch. Now give your old man a hug," Tony held his arms open. At his words a massive smile grew on Rosie's face. Rushing forward she chucked his arms around his resting her head against his shoulder. She still couldn't believe this is it, the Avengers were splitting up, disassembling.

"Yeah, yeah I will. Good luck explaining to Pepper," she laughed.

"Oh no, you're doing that," he looked to her. Pulling apart Rosie groaned as a scowl formed on her face. That was not good. Pepper will be more than mad.

"Over the phone?" she whimpered.

"Probably best. Cap, Iron Women," Tony nodded before disappearing into the car. The remaining pair waved as the car drove out of sight. As soon as he'd gone Rosie pressed the button on her bracelet to call her suit.

"Feel free to call if you need any help," Steve told her. Rosie looked up from her bracelet nodding with a smiled. Walking over to him she gave her godfather a hug not knowing when she'd see him again.

"You too, you're gonna have your hands full training those rookies," she laughed thumping him on the back. Pulling away she swept a hand through her hair checking the sky for signs of her suit.

"I have Clint and Natasha with me, between the three of I'm sure we'll manage. Besides Jo will be here soon and I'm sure she'll help but I may call you in for a class or two," he smiled.

"It'd be an honour Captain," she gave a playful salute. Hearing the familiar sounds of rockets Rosie stepped away from Steve. Looking up to the sky she could vaguely make out the sight of parts of her suit flying towards her. Smiling she lowered her eyes back to Steve.

"Give my love to Jo for me," she smiled. Seconds later her suit started to clip onto her piece by piece.

"Will do, take care," he nodded. As he did so the face plate of her suit clicked in place blocking his view of her face. He didn't need to see her face to know that despite the smile that will still be on her face sorrow will be clouding her eyes. Lifting her hand up she saluted to Steve who saluted back with a small smiled. Lowering her hand she took off before heading in the direction of New York.

Friday 11th August 2017 17:12 – Stark Mansion, New York

"J.A.R.V.I.S. I'm home!" Rosie yawned. Eighteen year old Rosie stumbled through the door of her house swinging the keys by her side. Yawning she took the school bag from her shoulder and chucked it lazily to the side as she shut the door behind her. Rosie watched as it slid across the marble floor before hitting the wall landing right underneath the table. Running a hand through her hair she began to disarm herself dumping her countless weapons on the table. Placing her daggers on the table she noticed a white envelope lying on the table she picked it up turning it over in her hands. Too fancy to be bills. Scowling she quickly whipped out the letter reading it over.

Dear Miss Rosie Stark,

You are invited to the wedding of Miss Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton on Saturday the 16th of September at 2 o'clock in~

Rosie snorted looking at the letter in total disbelief.

"'bout bloody time Barton, left it much longer and I'd be getting married before you two Lana would be out the house as well," she muttered under her breath before raising it, "you see this J.A.R.V.I.S? Clint and Nat are finally getting married!" Silence. Rosie's eyes narrowed in confusion. Why wasn't he responding? Something wasn't right. They weren't fighting. Even if they were he'd respond to her.

"J.A.R.V.I.S.?" she called out again. Still nothing. Something was seriously wrong. Scowling she placed the wedding invitation carefully on the hall table as she reached for the gun that was tucked into the back of her skirt. Gripping the gun she walked slowly towards the living room. Peering through the arch she spotted a green glad women leaning against her fire place. Rosie glared at the green haired women pointing the gun at her back.

"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you right now," Rosie hissed. The women didn't turn round. Instead she quickly looked at her through the mirror hanging above before looking back to the pictures she'd been studying.

"Because I'm here with a proposition, Miss Stark. Oh put the gun away is this how you treat all your guests? Who are these?" she asked. Slowly she lowered the gun but kept it on hand.

"The one in your hand is Lana Barton, Clint and Natasha's girl my niece. To the left is Imogen Rogers, Steve and Jo's child also my niece. Then it's Dylan Banner, Bruce and Betty's child my nephew. Then it's Eric Odinson, Thor and Jane's son my other niece. Then last are my twin brother and sister Maxie and Jason," she explained carefully, "Now you know that I want to know who the hell you are and what the hell you've done to J.A.R.V.I.S.!" He woman turned round looking Rosie up and down.

"Alright, I'm Abigail Brand director of S.W.O.R.D. I understand that with your final day of school today you're looking for a new pass time before university. I'm here to offer you with a job," Director Brand explained. Rosie's eyes lit up at the words. Placing the gun in the back of her skirt she folded her arms over her chest.

"Well go on then, fill me in."

Friday 3rd July 2020 19:37 – S.W.O.R.D. Earth Base

"Oh my god Sam! You can cook! You can actually cook!" Peter cried in utter disbelief. The group laughed as they shoved more of Sam's dinner in their mouths. It had been a while but the whole team were finally sitting down to eat again in their team common room. For months they'd all been set off to numerous parts of the galaxy on different missions. Rosie however had managed to keep most of her missions earth bound due to the fact that she was still in Uni whilst the others, who had attended, had all newly graduated. For about a period of six months there hadn't been a single day when they were all on the same planet.

Their happy reunion only lasted for about an hour until it was disrupted by the speakers.

"Will Agent Stark please report to Director Brand's office immediately," someone called. All eyes turned on Rosie as she put her glass on the table. With a groan she slumped back in the chair.

"Oh come on! Over the speakers?! REALLY?!" she screamed. Snorts echoed round the room as Rosie pushed herself up from the chair. Walking towards the door she threw a scowl over her shoulder.

"There better be a piece of cake for me when I come back, I'm looking at you Luke!" she cried. Quickly she raced out the door and towards the Directors office. Knocking on the door she pushed herself inside the office.

"You called me over the speakers? I thought we'd finished with all that, I've not even done anything wrong," Rosie growled. Brand didn't even look up as dropped a file on her desk.

"Take your group of delinquents and go check this out," she drawled not looking up, "Now go." Rosie grabbed the file before walking out the room. Reading it along the corridor she reached the team common room not long after she'd finished in. Opening the door she was greeted by a wall of laughter. Bringing her fingers to her lips she let out a sharp whistle catching everyone's attention. Holding up the folder in her right hand she listened as groans filled the room.

"Look alive guys we've got a mission!" she cried. Unwillingly they quickly cleaned their room before rushing to the jets.

Friday 3rd July 2020 21:06 – New York

Rosie and her team crouched on the roof of a building.

"Isn't that an old S.H.I.E.L.D. base?" Ava asked. Bringing the binoculars down from her eyes Rosie nodded before handing them to the only other female on the team. It was old yes but it doesn't look like it was out of use.

"It's armed very armed. I count at least ten weapon posts and at least three guards roaming the grounds," Rosie grumbled.

"But you can get in?" Danny looked to her.

"Oh my dear Iron Fist who do you take me for?" Rosie smirked. Raising her arm she shot what had once been Natasha's Widow Bites but were now altered into grappling hooks at the building opposite them. Flipping over the wall surrounding the compound. Quickly firing the other she flung herself through a window shaking off the off the broken glass. Looking around her she found herself in an empty room. Jumping up she ran out the room and into the corridor. For a supposedly abandoned building it was certainly lively. Since she'd come in she'd seen at least eight people, none of which had noticed her, and she'd barely left the corridor. Scowling she began to search the compound. She hadn't gone far when she heard someone cough behind her. Spinning around she went to launch an attack but she'd barely started when she froze in place.

"F-Fury?!" she screamed.

"Don't look so shocked, you look like you've seen a ghost," he scoffed.

"But you're dead!" she cried. Fury just let out a short laugh in reply.

"So you're team mates didn't tell you. I'm very much alive, who do you think was flying the Helicarrier during the Ultron incident?" he asked. Rosie rubbed the back of her neck awkwardly.

"Honestly? Hill. I didn't think much of it, I was a bit preoccupied," Rosie muttered, "But it's really good to see you."

"Like wise Stark. I may regret this later but I've missed you and your friends… shenanigans," Fury put his words carefully.

"What's all this about? The Director sent me here to-" she started. Before she could finish Fury cut her off.

"I requested this. It's time for you to come home now get those idiots of yours off the roof," Fury explained before walking off. A smile grew on Rosie's face as she watched him go.

"Yes Sir!" she cried. As soon as Fury had gone Rosie ran off practically giddy with excitement.

Monday 20th July 2020 20:49 – Friars Club, New York

Rosie strutted into the bar scanning the crowded room for one man in particular. They hadn't seen each other in about six years but she was still sure she'd recognise him on sight. Pushing her way through the crowd she spotted the wanted man behind the bar showing off his nothing less than excellent marksman ship to some drunk girls. Jayden Kulger. With a role of her eyes Rosie made her way closer waiting until the girls had passed. As soon as they'd gone Rosie strode up to the bar leaning on it just in front of him. Jayden didn't look up from the glass he was cleaning before speaking.

"What'll it be sweetcakes?" he asked. A smirk grew on her face as she looked her old friend up and down.

"Whatever you suggest honey," Rosie whispered seductively. Her voice caused Jayden to freeze in place.

"Rosie?" he asked not looking up. This only caused the smirk to grow on her face.

"Ding, ding we have a winner," she giggled. At this Jayden's head snapped up. As soon as his eyes landed on her they widened in complete shock. All he could think about was how beautiful she'd grown.

"Wha-Rosie? What are you doing here?" he stuttered.

"I'm living up to a promise I made years ago," she smiled. Despite the loud music Rosie pushed herself over the edge of the bar so her lips were next to his ear.

"S.H.I.E.L.D.'s back Jayden and I'm here to ask you to become my partner," she whispered. Dropping herself down again she looked at Jayden's shocked face. He thought for a minute looking at the club around him. Mixologist for the foreseeable future or become an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. It wasn't that hard of a decision. Looking to Rosie he saw the hope on her face. There was no way he could turn her down when she was looking at him like that. Smiling he watched Rosie's face light up causing his heart to flutter. What on Earth was he getting himself into?

"You have yourself a deal, partner."

~The End~

Well there it is! The final chapter of Rise of a Legend. I want to say thank you to everyone who has read, followed, favourited and reviewed. I also want to say thank you to everyone who stuck with this story through it's dry spells due to my writers block and lack of motivation. I would also like to say a special thank you to Random007 who has stuck with me from the start of this fic and for the majority of the one before it and helped me when I was stuck. Currently I am not planning another fic in the Rosie's series. However I do have countless other fics in the works one of which is another Marvel and will include Rosie which I hope to have up soon.

Anyways thanks again to everyone who has read both fics and I hope you all enjoyed them,
