Alright People, here it is. The chapter to finish this story. I'm so sorry for the delays. I had a really hard time with this story and got so caught up in my other stories that this one fell to the wayside. Here it is.

Brittany and Blaine follow quickly behind the nurse until they reached the room that Santana had been moved to in ICU. Tears welled up in Britt's eyes as she looked at her sleeping best friend. Her head was wrapped in thick white gauze, but she looked peaceful.

"Can she hear us?" Brittany asked the doctor, carefully touching her friend's hand.

"We don't know," the doctor said, "She is in a coma and the tube in her throat is helping her breath. The piece of tubing coming out of her heard is to monitor her Intracranial pressure or ICP. If it gets above 20, we will have to operate. She is doing alright now though. You can stay with her and talk to her as much as you like."

Blaine thanked the nurse as she left. Brittany was too caught up in making sure Santana was alright. It killed him watching her talk to the Latina who usually would object to the coddling. But, being in a coma with a tube stuck down her throat prevented any sort of complaints.

Blaine took a seat on the other side of the sick girl, just staring at her. She looked peaceful, eyes closed, relaxed.

After a few minutes, Blaine decided to go call Kurt and let him know everything that was going on. Kurt was freaking out, but once Blaine explained that Santana was stable, he calmed down a bit. Kurt wanted to know if they could visit.

Blaine had to ask the nurse who told him that so long as the people who were soming were healthy, they could come. However, only three people were allowed in the room at a time.

He relayed it to Kurt and he told him that they would talk it over and decide what they were going to do.

Blaine went back into the room, seeing Brittany talking softly to Santana, promising never to leave her again. Blaine knew they were in for a long ride.

A Day turned into two and soon a week had passed. Santana was still in a coma and couldn't breathe on her own. Her ICP came down slowly and was back to a normal reading with no threat of it going up. The bleed had stopped and she was considered stable. They were now waiting for her to wake up.

Everyone was still in New York except for Puck and Sam who both had to get back to their jobs. Rachel and Quinn were feeling better and had been to visit Santana several times. Everyone took turns coming in and sitting with her and Brittany who never left her side.

Dani never came back, which everyone knew would be hard for Santana if and when she woke up.

However, Brittany stuck by Santana, singing to her, or telling her stories about Lord Tubbington, or just gently stroking her hand. Everyone that came in could see the love between the two.

Santana's mom had come and was staying at the now very crowded apartment in Santana's room.

Once Quinn and Rachel got better, everyone moved back into their apartment, sleeping on air mattresses or sleeping bags or the couches. No one really cared much about where they were sleeping while Santana was so sick.

On this particular day, Rachel went to the hospital early that day before she planned to head into work, her first day back since Santana's injury.

She brought Brittany her normal cup of coffee and found the blonde awake, softly singing "Dance with Somebody" to Santana.

"Hey Britt," Rachel said, sitting down next to the blonde.

Brittany finished the song before acknowledging Rachel. Just as Britt was about to let go of Santana's hand, the tan fingers curled around it and Brittany looked in shock.

"Nurse," Rachel called into the hall, "Nurse, I think she's waking up."

The nurse rushed in, took one look at the tight grip the Latina had on Brittany's fingers, and went to find a doctor. Santana's neurologist came in a few minutes later, and in the time it took to find him, Santana had started moving around more.

"Santana," the doctor said, pulling her eye open and looking in.

She quickly shut her eyes against the light, moving her body.

"I think she is finally coming around," the doctor said, "I'll be back in a minute to do a few tests."

Twenty minutes later and Santana's eyes were open and the doctor was preparing to remove the breathing tube. As soon as the tube is out, Santana started coughing harshly and the nurse offered her some water. Once the coughing quieted, Santana looked around.

"Stay calm Ms. Lopez," the doctor said, "Do you remember what happened?"

"Sick," Santana said, "going to bed, then woke up here."

"Ok," the doctor said, "You fell and injured your head. You had a brain bleed and were in a coma for two weeks."

Santana nodded as Brittany held her hand.

"I am going to do a few tests just to make sure everything is working properly," the doctor said, "Now, am I touching your leg?"

Santana shook her head and the doctor nodded.

"Alright," he said, "how about now?"

Santana shook her head again.

"And now," the doctor said. "Yes," Santana said, feeling his hand on her right leg.

"Now squeeze my hand," he said, putting his hand in her left.

"My fingers," Santana said, fear in her voice, "They won't."

It was then that Rachel and Brittany noticed what they figured the doctor had seen all along. The left side of Santana's face was drooping.

"Alright," the doctor said, "Now, you had what appears to be a stroke in the right side of your brain which impacted the left side of your body. You are going to need therapy, but I have seen many people with similar injuries who have recovered to 95%."

Santana was in tears, clutching onto Brittany tightly while Rachel held the blonde who was also in tears.

"We can get through this," Brittany said, holding her best friend, "I'll move out here and help you. It's going to be alright."

"I'll get a physical therapist in here within the hour," the doctor said, "I am so sorry."

The next few hours were a blur. Everyone came to the hospital to see Santana who was moved from ICU to another part of the hospital that allowed for more visitors. She met with a physical, occupational, and speech therapist and it was decided she would move to a rehab center for three weeks after she was released from the hospital and then move home as long as she was strong enough.

Brittany arranged to move out to New York with them help with Santana. Everyone was very supportive and within two days, Santana was in the rehab center.

She worked her butt off every day and wanted to quit so many times, but Brittany was there with her to help and cheer her on.

Santana found out what happened with Dani and her feelings were hurt, but by the end of her rehab stint, she had asked Brittany to be her girlfriend again which the blonde said yes to immediately.

Santana had to walk with a walker for a while while she tried to regain strength in her body. Her speech was improving, but still slurred slightly.

However, just two and a half weeks after she arrived in the rehab center, she shocked everyone by being ready to go home and work on the rest of her recovery with the people who loved her as they all shook their head at how a simple stomach bug could so completely alter their lives.

I know it ended fast and is probably not what you all were hoping for, but I needed to finish this story. If you don't like it, don't review it. It seems like every time I end a story, I get slammed with horrible reviews and a bunch of hate. I understand that I don't always write the way my readers want, but I'm sure no one does otherwise it wouldn't be you writing. Anyways, sorry for the long rant. I hope you enjoyed this story. I have another group of Glee one shots I am thinking of putting up if you guys want. Just let me know! Until next time, enjoy your reading and have a Happy New Year!
