Lightning flash throughout the Metropolis Mall, Supergirl looking on in both interest and guilt as Static finally removed his is overpowered taser from his left shoulder blade.

"Aaaand my concussion is finally gone." Static said as he let out a deep breath in relief, Supergirl using her X-ray vision quickly noted that his skull fracture was indeed gone.

"So you're capable of healing yourself as long as you have the necessary electricity on hand? Are there any upper limits?" Supergirl couldn't help but ask as Static lean his head back against the fountain that he was leaning on before looking up at her.

"Upper limits? I'm pretty sure I have them but I'm in no real hurry to test out just what those upper limits might be." Static replied Supergirl found this understandable as in order to test out ones healing abilities upper limits one would need to be dealt extensive levels of damage done unto their person, and to her knowledge Static did not seem like someone who enjoys pain. Eyes landing on the relic that was just a few feet away from them both of them looked at the stone piece with unease eyes.

"That thing nearly made us kill each other, I can't help but be worried as to what the hell this Faust guy is planning with it." Supergirl said and Static of couldn't agree more with her.

"Yeah but he's got Wonder Woman's entire family held hostage so we don't really have much of a choice but to play by his rules... for now." Static stated before his comm device went off.

"Everyone." Wonder Woman's voice rang out. "We found some information on Faust."

"Get over here as soon as you can." Batman added. "You're going to want to see this for yourselves."

"That our cue." Static sigh standing up with Supergirl looking at him in hesitation.

"Hey can we... not mention that whole me nearly killing you bit to the other's?" Supergirl asked in a pleading tone.

"Yeah that fine, besides, I'd rather not talk about getting my ass kicked thank you so much." Static said jokingly, Supergirl half smile, it was clear he was trying to lighten the mood but it only somewhat worked.

They were fighting pretty even though she was sure it wouldn't have been good for him to do a long drawing out battle with her but he had been giving her the works before he managed to break the spell on himself, She really hated how he nearly got killed trying to break her free and promised herself to pay him back for it.

Philip Rollins, the head of a high-tech defense satellite firm sat in his office currently over looking several files that had been sent to him about a stream of recent thefts in his company. What he found most confusing about these thefts was the unique nature of the tech that have been taken.

"None of this makes any sense, I really can't see any of this stuff being of use.." Philip muttered with a groan.

"Well that is unless someone was trying to build a...?" he paused as he began running over what had been stolen with his eyes narrowing more and more, (This combination of tech, it can't be...!) Philip thought as horror began to set in, grabbing the phone that was on his desk, he quickly called his secretary.

"Adams... Yes it Rollins. I'm going to compile a list of specialized tech, I want you to see if any of these devices have been stolen recently." Philip said, after getting a confirmation he hang up inside he was suddenly feeling deeply exhausted as a sense of dread started to take hold of him.

"Maybe I'm just being paranoid but if I'm right and someone's building what I think they are, only one person could be behind it." he said worry creeping in his voice, making a mental note to find the address of his old mentor in case his fears were confirmed.

"So tell me again... how did this happen?" Professor Menace asked one more as Hotstreak held Fade on the ground with his knee on his back and holding his left arm in a awkward position showing it had clearly been broken. Fade looked up at the mad scientist through a swollen face covered with bruises and black eyes, one swollen so badly it was closed shut.

"Why are you so angry, I got you the girl just like you ordered!" Fade cried spitting out blood through his busted lips and wishing now more than anything that his powers weren't being shut down by the professor. Brickhouse, Nightingale, and D-struct look down at the poor guy with worrying and pity at the brutal punishment he was receiving.

"Yes you brought her back as I ordered but I also stated to bring her back as unharmed as possible." Professor Menace said slowly with barely concealed anger.

"So why pray tell did you find it necessary to give her a concussion and a broken jaw!?" he wasn't yelling or even snarling it was with the monotone voice that steal release a great deal of cold anger.

"Hahaha, I told ya boss! You should have sent the nightly girl instead of this idiot." Hotstreak cackled as Nightingale look miffed at her nickname by him.

"It Nightingale, um Boss I'm not trying to tell you what to do but if you keep that up he's not going to be much use to you later on." Nightingale said looking frighten at the man who sent her a hard glare.

"He's barely of any using now, thanks to him you guys went over your time limit and got caught on tape, the contents of which has already fallen into the hands of the Justice league! And now he can't even handle a simple retrieval mission!" he snapped back letting out his anger a bit, it was to everybody's good grace that Nails walked in at that moment to give a report on the current status of their new guest.

"Hey boss, Tech just finished up. The medical gel works like a charm, both her concussion and broken jaw have been fixed! Now she's sleeping like a baby." Nail reported her gray skin turning a bit green when she caught sight of the state of Fade. That seem to have caused him to relax a bit.

"Good, she no use to me damaged." Professor Menace stated before looking down at Fade with a glare once more.

"I'm going to forgive your actions Fade but this will be the last time. you will remain in that broken state for the next 32 hours afterwards if you make a disobey my orders again I'll erase you! Understand?" Menace asked looking him in the eyes, Fade nodded too afraid to say anything.

"Take him to a cell and leave him there." Professor Menace ordered, Hotstreak smirk as he dragged Fade away, then turn to everyone else who tensed.

"Nails, you're a replacing Fade on the tech retrieval team, no more mess ups get the remaining pieces without delay." Menace declared, everyone nodded fearful of what awaited them if they failed.

Almost two hours later the League convened at Faust's private study, meeting Wonder Woman and Batman in an old anthropology office. It was littered with various artifacts and notes, the subjects spanning from the mundane to the arcane.

"Fascinating." J'onn commented. "Faust clearly has a great passion for learning."

"Yeah, too bad he uses it to do evil things like turning people into see stone." Static commented.

"Where do you think he got this stuff?" Flash asked, picking up a strange scepter with a crystal and an eye on top of it. "Ghouls R Us?"

"Who knows, lets hope there something we can use to undo the petrification he cast on Diana's people." Static said as he and Supergirl looked over some draws with objects taking notice of a small orange rock with a red gem stone at the center of it.

"I wonder what this does?" Static said picking up the stone.

"Hey Wonder Woman, what this?" Static asked holding up the stone to her, her eyes seem to lighten up at the site.

"A curse breaker! What a nice fine!" she exclaimed taking hold of it.

"Wait so that can break the spell on your people then?" Superman asked looking the stone over.

"Yes and sadly no." She sigh rejected at seeing the red stone.

"What do you mean?" Batman asked walking up to her.

"The red stone means it's a level 1 curse-breaker." Wonder Woman said. if the stone were blue that meant it was a level three curse-breaker in he could free thousands of my sisters at once but level 1 breakers can only work on one person at a time. and can only be used once a day." Wonder Woman explained.

"Be that as it may, hold on to it for now. I could be of use later." Batman said, Static nodded pocketing the stone as Flash looked over a scepter.

"Curse breakers, level systems, fancy scepters, what is this a fantasy video game?" Flash mused as he examined the scepter, the eye on the top opened and the crystal started to glow. When Batman saw it his eyes widen in surprise.

"Don't touch that!" he snapped.

As Flash turned towards him, the scepter shot out a beam of blue energy. Batman barely ducked under it as it blasted a hole the wall.

"Oops." Flash let out.

Batman stalked over to him, snatching the scepter and putting it back.

"Don't touch anything!" he shouted. "We don't know what powers we're dealing with!"

Everyone else looked at Flash and Batman, then slowly put down the objects they had been examining.

"So, who is this Faust?" Superman asked.

"According to Professor Erlang, he was a renowned anthropologist and respected professor of archeology." Batman supplied. "Unfortunately, he was drawn to the mystic arts, and went mad with a lust for power."

"Not long after that, he was kicked out of the university due to his heretical ideas." Batman continued. "He swore revenge on those who mocked him, and several of them later disappeared under mysterious circumstances."

Static then looked up at a row of three heads set up above a bookshelf. They did not appear ancient at all, and depicted the horrified pained expression of three men.

"Pretty sure I found them." Static pointed out.

"Ew." Flash let out.

"Okay so we're dealing with a psychopath with some messed-up hobbies." Supergirl stated just as gross out as Flash, she knew that the life of a hero could did nasty but she still rather avoid the gruesome side of the business.

"It gets worse I found his journal." Batman said holding up a leather-bound journal, "And the last entry makes reference to Tartarus." Diana gasped in horror as a bolt of lightning flashes right at the end of his sentence, (Well that not terrifying at all!) Static thought sarcastically knowing there wasn't a cloud in the sky for such an occurrence to happen.

"The Pit of Lost Souls..." she whispered.

"Hey I've read about that in human mythology." Supergirl mused. "It's a place in the Underworld where the Damned souls go correct?"

"Yes, that is correct." Diana replied.

"Isn't that just a myth?" Superman asked.

"Hey we got a thousand-year-old immortal Amazon working with us so myths being true isn't so shocking anymore. " Static quipped getting an light elbow to to the ribs from Supergirl for his bad pun.

"Um, sorry." Flash interjected. "Some of us slept through history class. What's so important about this pit?" Flash asked causing Diana to sighed.

"Everything. Long ago in ancient times my mother fell in love with a god, lord Hades." Diana explained.

"Wait your mom dated the king of the underworld!?" Static asked speechless with a stun.

"Yes, it would seem that at one point Hade truly love my mother, he even sculpted a clay child for her which she kept for 2,000 years before finally breathing life into it, giving birth to me." Diana asked this time leaving everyone stun.

"Um Wonder Woman, if Hades created your clay body and your mother breathe life into it, doesn't that technically make you... his daughter or something?" Static asked, Diana pause at the boy to think about it for a moment.

"I hadn't ever consider that but when I think about it by all accounts Hades would most certainly be considered the closest thing I have to a father." Diana said now looking be a bit more unease then before.

"Moving back to the topic at hand, what can you tell us about the underworld?" Batman asked wanting to leave that particular uncomfortable conversation for later.

"Right, well when war broke out between the Olympian gods and their ancient foes the Titans. Hades... my father, struck a treasonous bargain with the enemy, he would deliver Mount Olympus into their hands and in return he would be given dominion over all of humanity." Wonder Woman explained.

"Okay, that sounds like that would have suck for us." Flash commented.

"Indeed, Hades trick my mother into opening the gates of Olympus to the Titans causing a war to break out." Diana said darkly.

"Wow what a great boyfriend she had. " Supergirl remarked snarky.

"That was a battle that which the muses still sing ." Diana went on.

"However despite being caught off guard and losing several of their comrades the gods rally their forces and fought back, ultimately prevailing, and banishing the Titans back into the void."

"Enrage by the death of many Olympians, including one of his bastard's and most favorite child, Perseus. Zeus band Hades from Mount Olympus and cast him into the pit of Tartarus as punishment for his betrayal where he would rule over the dead for eternity." Diana said then looked down at the floor in sadness.

"And for her unwitting role in Hades plot my mother was stripped of her title as Olympus Gate Keeper and charge with being the Gate Keeper to the Underworld."

"To make sure the gate could never be unlocked it's only key was broken up and scattered across the globe my mother chapter one piece at the temple as a daily reminder of her eternal shame." they could hear the pain and Diana's voice as she explained all of this and they truly felt for her.

"So, these relics that we've been gathering..." J'onn said pieced Faust's plot together. "They're the fragments of the key."

"That also explains the guardians and spells protecting them." Static added unknowingly causing Supergirl to look at the ground with a guilty expression.

"But why would Faust want it?" Flash asked.

"Why else?" Supergirl replied. "He wants to release Hades." Batman took the pieces from everyone, constructing them into the complete key.

"Where is this gateway to the underworld?" Superman asked.

"Beneath Themyscira." Diana answered

"Diana we can't give Faust this key." Superman urged.

"I have no choice." Diana protested. "If I don't give Faust the key, my mother and sisters will remain petrified forever."

"And if you do, it'll be the end of the world." Batman reminded.

"Which includes the Amazon's might I add." Static chim in.

"So no matter what this ends badly for her." Supergirl concluded.

"What will you do?" Static asked looking concerned, Diana was quiet for a moment, she was deep in thought before closing her eyes and taking a deep breath, then opening them with a look of determination on her face.

"I'm going back to Themyscira to give Felix Faust the key... however you're all coming with me." Diana told them getting wide eyes from all around.

"What about your law, no men on the island?" Static asked worry about what may happen afterwards.

"There's no point in freeing my mother and sisters if they're just going to be slaughtered by Hades anyway, plus I don't trust Faust not to double-cross me." Diana stated.

"At this point that law is protecting him more than keeping Themyscira safe. After everything is settled and done with, I'll deal with the consequences of my actions." Diana said in a grimm tone, everyone around looked at her with worry as none knew what would be the result of her breaking such a sacred law, only Diana but couldn't help but feel that breaking this law would be catastrophic for her.

Flaust looked upon the many Amazon's petrified in stone smirking at the fact that none of them knew of the horror that awaited them. Once Hades was free he would remove his spell leaving them to face the mercy of the dark god. Faust was looking at

"I should thank you for raising such a devoted daughter," Faust said, looking at the statue of Hippolyta, smirking at her shocked expression and trailing a finger on her stony face. "She was so eager to cooperate."

"Faust!" The temple doors suddenly opened and Wonder Woman came bursting in, holding a cloaked object. She landed in front of Faust, who walked towards her.

"Back already?" he said in delight as he held up an hourglass. "And only a few hours to spare. I'm impress. Have you got the relics?"

Wonder Woman replied by taking the cover off the object she was holding, revealing the key. Faust look at it with an excited glint in his eyes.

"First, free my mother," Wonder Woman said. "We had a deal."

"Yes, yes. Of course," Faust said as he held out his hand. There was a purple light and a medallion with Medusa's head appeared. He raised the medallion towards Hippolyta and started chanting.

A second later, Hippolyta turned back to normal, groaning. Wonder Woman walked towards her, handing the key to Faust. She then kneeled next to her mother.

"Mother," Wonder Woman said with relief.

"After three thousand years, the key is finally complete," Faust said, ruining the mother-daughter moment.

"Diana, you didn't?" Hippolyta asked as Wonder Woman glared at Faust.

"Thank you for your assistance," Faust said before he raised his hand, holding the medallion. "But I no longer require your assistance. So, Petro-!"

Suddenly, the medallion was suddenly yanked out from his hand, surprising him.

"What in the-?" he exclaimed as red blur ran towards him, tripping him. He fell to the ground face first. Groaning, he looked up and saw Flash smirking at him.

"You're not the only one with an ace on his sleeve," Flash said as Faust stood up.

"What is this!?" Faust demanded before he heard a swishing noise. He looked up and saw Batman swinging towards him and punched him on the face. Faust fell on his back.

"You brought men here?" Hippolyta said in shock, looking at her daughter. "To Themyscira?"

Wonder Woman didn't reply, as Her mother's eyes fell back on to the Justice League members before taking note of the youngest one, ( Static...) she thought while remaining silent.

"You really think she'll trust a scum like you?" Batman asked Faust as J'onn, Static, Superman and Supergirl landed beside him, looking down on Faust.

"And the fact that he was going to turn her to stone prove her right." Static commented as they had been watching before hand

"It's over Faust," Superman said. "Come along quietly."

"Never!" Faust exclaimed as he fired at the Five heroes, who quickly jumped away.

Faust quickly stood up and fired a Superman, blasting him towards the wall. Danny flew towards Faust and fired at him. Faust quickly stepped aside and fired at Danny, who made a shield in front of him. The shield shattered and Danny was blasted towards the ceiling.

Faust turned around and saw about to run towards the exit, only to have the Flash in front of him.

"Now you see me, now you don't!" Flash exclaimed as he dashed away, avoiding the magical projectiles that were fired at him. Flash started running towards Faust at high-speed, intending the smash him. Faust then fired at the ground, making the rocks protrude from the ground. He moved aside as Flash tripped on the rocks but was caught by Supergirl.

"Easy there Quickie, don't want to break something." Supergirl said smirking getting a glare from the speedster at her less-than-flattering nickname for him

Faust was about to finish him off when J'onn bashed him with his shoulder, sending the sorcerer flying. He looked up and fired at J'onn, who turned intangible to let the blast sail pass him. Growling, Faust fired a bigger blast towards J'onn, who was pushed away by Batman before the attack could hit him. Instead, the attack hit the ground, causing it to explode.

They were sent tumbling by the shockwave of the attack. Static seeing an opening sent a blast of energy at Faust knocking him to the ground Wonder Woman used that opportunity to wrap her golden lasso around him. He turned around and saw Wonder Woman holding the lasso.

Faust grabbed the lasso and used his magic to shock Wonder Woman, causing them to let go of the lasso. Faust smirked as he removed the lasso on his body and grabbed the key he dropped. He walked towards the exit, only to be stopped by J'onn.

"Halt!" he exclaimed.

Faust tried to back over, only to have Batman, Superman and Flash block his way with Static and Supergirl flying above him. He shouted another magic spell as he threw some seeds towards the heroes. They were suddenly attacked by giant, thorn vines. Superman got carried away by the plants as Batman pulled out his batarangs to cut the vines around him. Flash picked up a discarded sword, cutting the vines.

"Do you have a bat-weed killer in that belt of yours?" Flash asked as he sliced another vine Static quickly begin zapping the vines off the man of steel.

"No," Batman said as he sliced a vine locking on his leg. Suddenly, two vines grabbed his arm and carried him to the roof. Flash tried to help him, but he got snagged as well. J'onn tried to grab Faust, but another vine grabbed his waist and carried him to the roof.

Wonder Woman groggily stood up and saw their friends getting attack by plants. Wonder Woman grabbed a sword from the ground and flew towards the plants with Supergirl behind her, with red glowing eyes. They started attacking the plants, slashing, ripping and burning them. However as they were trying to free Superman Static take notice of Faust walking towards Hippolyta.

"Supergirl, the crossdresser in the moo moo is making a pass at the Queen!" Static shouted pulling out his power rod, his blonde friend to turn to see Faust moving towards Diana's mother.

"Come, your Highness," Faust said as he offered a hand. "We don't want to be late for the grand opening."

Hippolyta glared at him before she pulled a dagger from her belt. She leaped at Faust, only for him to grab her arm and shocked her with his magic, knocking her out.

"Mother!" Wonder Woman exclaimed as she tried to push through the plants. One grabbed her by the arm and pulled her back. However faster then the eye could see Hippolyta vanish.

"What!?" he exclaimed looking around only to find Hippolyta and Supergirl several feet away from him with the Queen shaking off the shock treatment was she given.

"Give her back!" Faust roared causing Supergirl to look at him with a glare.

"Yeah, sure... I mean no!" Supergirl said flatly before taking a deep breath and blowing at him with a gust of air so strong it knocked him back into a stone wall.

"Curse's!" he grunted but then saw the heroes starting to completely destroy his plants, realizing they would soon be free and he couldn't make another grab at the queen with Supergirl guarding her he disappeared in a cloud of black smoke. Once they were gone, the plants started withering, dropping the captured heroes. Wonder Woman quickly flew towards her mother thankful she was alright as Batman and Superman went towards the giant, scorch mark.

"He's gone," Flash said as they looked at the mark.

"And so is the key," Superman said.

"No…" Wonder Woman said with a worried expression, as she Supergirl and Hippolyta walk towards the rest.

"He can't have gone far right?" Static asked collapsing his power rod down to its portable state as Batman studied the scorch mark.

"No Static he has not. There can only be one possible place he could have gone," Hippolyta said as she walked towards Static.

"I will take you there but before that I need a weapon, a reliable weapon." Hippolyta said looking at Static who raised an eyebrow behind his mask at the Queen's attention to him as well as wondering how she even knew his name, before he could react she snatched the power rod out of his hand.

"Hey that mine!" Static shouted, however everybody's gained a look of surprise when Hippolyta suddenly extended the rod to its full staff state and even activated the energy head of it.

"Mother how do you know how to work that!?" Diana asked in confusion wall Batman and Superman's eyes narrowed at the Amazon queen. Said Queen ignored them as she looked over the power rod a bit more before frowning.

"No options for shape-shifting? I'm guessing this is one of your earlier models then?" Hippolyta mused ignoring her daughter's question as she looked down at Static.

"I'll be borrowing this for the time being boy, now follow me." Hippolyta said walking off leaving a confused and suspicious Justice league to follow in her wake.

"Okay stupid question but have you ever been here before?" Supergirl ask looking at Static who was scratching the back of his head.

"On an island of man-hating Amazon's that would kill me for just stepping foot here? No, I can safely say I've never been here before." Static replied, dryly just as confused.

"Then why does queen seem so familiar with you, Diana tell her about you guys?" Supergirl asked. as Wonder Woman walked behind them.

"No I haven't been home since the alien attack and I don't know as well, but I'm sure we'll learn why soon enough." Diana as they began a quickly walk leaving the city limit's.

"Mother, I thought the city of the dead was behind the giant statue of Athena. " Diana question.

"No that was just what was told to further hide it's underground location, in actuality I gathered up a large amount of dark magic and move the city of the Dead as far away from the Amazonian City over a thousand years ago." Hippolyta explain stunning Diana.

"Any particular reason why?" Batman asked wondering why she would go through so much trouble for that.

"If you must know a long time ago a dear friend warned me that's something like this might happen and that it would be in my best interest to not have this accursed city of the Dead directly under the home of the Amazons." Hippolyta answered back as they came across the entrance to a temple that was built into a cliff side.

"The trip down is roughly 30 miles from then on will have a 500 mile walk towards the City of the Dead." Hippolyta explained getting gasped or bewilderment from them.

"Seems a bit excessive." Supergirl commented, next to Static.

"Well it's a good thing most of the party here can break the sound barrier otherwise this would be really inconvenient." Static joke as Hippolyta found herself on the back of her daughter and Batman for Superman who while annoyed that he has to hitch a ride understood that he in no shape would be able to keep up with them for such a long route and really question as to why Hippolyta to move the city of the dead so far away from the Amazonian Homeland.

with all members of The league flying or in flashes case running at high speed it didn't take long before they approach the entrance to the underground city when Static his eyes widen.

"Umm guy's, I just felt a massive burst of energy!" Static said urgently causing Hippolyta eyes too narrow.

"Then Faust is releasing Hades as we speak but even if Hades is set free all hope is not lost." Hippolyta, Batman looked at her for a moment as if reading her mind.

"We can reseal Hades." Batman stated, she nodded.

"Indeed, I will draw Hades attention while you lot head for the key." Hippolyta stated Diana quickly let a flash of anger across her face.

"We're not using you as bait for that monster mother!" Diana said firmly as Superman cross his arms.

"That's why you will be with her the whole time you only need to draw his attention long enough for me and Supergirl to catch him off guard." Superman stated.

"Meanwhile J'onn, Static and myself will deal with Faust giving Flash the opening to quickly take the Queen and Wonder Woman to the key." Batman added looking at the Queen.

"Will destroying the key be enough to send Hades back to the underworld?" Batman asked getting a smirk from Hippolyta.

"Yes, I'd have done so long ago myself but other then Diana who was born after the key had been separated we Amazon were forbidden from such action." Hippolyta replied, which had answered a question they had all had in the back of their head.

"Well, it looks like we have a plan, so let's get to it." Static grinned.

Underground in the city of the Dead Faust watch with glee and awe as the massive Stone doors leading to the underworld slowly opened leading a site of flame's as far as the eye can see and a lone dark figure loom in place.

"My lord!" Faust declared with a bow as the dark armored man slowly walked towards him.

"Free at last," Hades said as he looked around the fall city.

"Indeed My lord," Faust said. "I held my end of the bargain; I delivered you your freedom. Now where's my reward?"

"Of course," Hades said as he lifted his hand, firing it up. "Ultimate knowledge." he said smiling cruelly at the obvious double-cross he was about to perform but was paused in his tracks as his eyes widen and the flames in his hand went out. Faust frown at this and was about to demand his reward when footsteps reach his ears.

"Well now, does my eyes deceive me, could it be my dearest Hippolyta!?" Hades spoke in actual joy and Hippolyta and Diana slowly walked towards the dark god himself with tension in their eyes.

"I wish my eyes did deceive me, then I wouldn't really be seeing your wretch face." Hippolyta said evenly as she and her daughter stop several meters away from the fallen god. Hade's threw his head back and laughed.

"HAHA! Ever the sharp tongue you have! It is so good to see you again." Hade said looking over her body lustfully, Faust on the other hand begin looking around them.

"Becarefull my lord, the rest of the Queen's daughter allies unlikely hiding in wait for a chance to attack." Faust warned him, however Hade's seem far more focused on the 'Queen's daughter' part then the warning.

"Daughter, I didn't know you had a child." Hades frown making a mental note to kill ever the 'father' was later. Hippolyta raised an eyebrow at that, surprised he didn't know the truth about Diana, (I guess Zeus and the other chose not to tell him.) she thought as Diana clutch her fists ready to go at any moment.

"That will never happen because you are returning to the under world immediately. Superman now!" the moment those words left her mouth Hades face exploded into pain and he was forced to take several meters back barely staying on his feet as Superman now floated above him having delivered a hard punch.

"It's the Justice league!" Faust howl just as Supergirl appeared in front of him clapping her hands together so hard that it sent a thunderous shockwave that blew him several meters away into a stone wall!

"Supergirl, leave Faust to Batman, J'onn, and Static! Help me suppress Hades!" Superman order staring down the god of the underworld who was rubbing his chin, (I actually felt that.) he mused, it had been thousands of years since anyone that wasn't a God was able to make him actually feel a punch in fact the last person to do such a thing had been his nephew Hercules but even then he was still a half God.

"You must be the one I've heard of, the so called Superman." Hade mused as the man of steel rush at him. Faust found once again was out number three to one with

"Give it up Faust, we have you out numbered!" Batman demand as he Static and J'onn surrounded the mage, Faust seemed amused by this, "Now why would I do that when the fun is just starting!" Faust declared throwing his hands in the air then as a green sura surrounded them.

"Come out in play boy's, stone golems!" Faust shouted, suddenly the ground began to rumble and Earth and rocks began flying into the air around them knocking the heroes back!

"Oh what now!?" Static groan flying out of the way along with J'onn who grabbed Batman, the giant rocks boulders in dirt then begin to forum into this shape of large golems with glowing red eyes.

"Okay this might be a problem!" Flash said running up to Hippolyta and Diana.

"Wizards are always full of tricks, take us to the key!" Hippolyta order the speedster, 'SWOOOSH' 'BRSSSH' rubble was kicked up as Superman came crashing in front of them.

'groan' "Been a while since someone has give me a bloody lip so ease, it humbling." Superman commented raising to feet and and wiping the blood from his mouth as he glared at the dark God currently holding Supergirl by her throat, off at the other spectrum Static, Martian Manhunter, and Batman fairing just a bit better with their adversary's, stone golems were indeed large and strong but they were extremely slow and very inflexible making them easy targets to destroy.

Static was about to blast another one in front of him when it suddenly burst into pieces with Supergirl flying through it crashing into him and nearly knocking him off his feet as he caught her by the waist.

"Ugh, I was kind of hoping how powerful The Olympian gods were was a bit exaggerated but nope, that's definitely some God level strength..." Supergirl wenched rubbing her jaw that to her surprised she could feel bruised. Static look over to Hade as he stood tell glaring back at the man of steel, the mortal had gotten in several punches before he finally sent him flying and if Hades was being perfectly honest he didn't like how seem that in terms of raw physical strength Superman might actually be superior to even Hercules. A demigod known for his strength.

"YOU FOOLS! YOU DARE TO CHALLENGE A GOD!" Hades booming voice echo throughout the fallen City as pillars of stone a rose from beneath his feet raising him into the air, suddenly the Earth beneath everyone's very feet begin to shake and rumble causing everyone to tense wondering what was coming next.

"Oh what now!?" Flash yelled as something begin to burst from the Earth, a lot of things, "Behold the fate of all heros!" Hades bellowed as undead soldiers arose from the ground, wearing broken and rustic medieval armor while welding chip and rust sword and shields then began to March on the leaguers.

"Okay never had fighting zombies on my bucket list but I'm sure adding it now just to cross it off!" Virgil quipped letting Supergirl's go who then take to the sky's before her eyes turned red.

"If we live through this that is." Supergirl added firing several beams of heat vision to blast from above, as Static flew next to her launching electric bolts down the field clearing a group that surrounded Batman.

"Oh course we will, we're the good! We got to win!" Static quipped Faust begin backing up to a pillar as the undead soldiers began to crowd around him.

"LORD HADES YOUR ARMY IS ATTACKING ME AS WELL!" Faust shouted, the mad God look down at him with a dark smirk.

"So they are, I had planned on finishing you off by giving you the gift of eternal suffering but this will do as well." Hade replied, his smirk widen at the look of horror on his face however Faust quickly recovered and began forming magic blasts of energy in his hands.

"You dare betray me! I am the one who set you free!" Faust screamed in rage while blasting away undead soldiers that charged at him and causing Hade to cackle madly.

"Indeed you were, but now you have out live your usefulness." Hade's declared before looking down at all the heros facing his hordes.

"Now you and these fools, will join my fallen legions and the conquest of this world!" Hades bellowed loudly summoning more and more undead soldiers from the ground, Faust glared furiously at the fallen God.

"After everything I've done for you, you would betray me!? I hope the Justice League destroy you!" Faust snarled before beginning a dark chant then vanishing in a gray mist, Hades face look surprised by this but it quickly turn amused.

"Fool. I'll deal with him later but for now, BOW TO ME HEROES!" Hades bellowed, his army quickly began to over run the Justice League with Flash getting gang up on only to be save by Superman, Batman and Martian manhunter we're having a bit more of an easier time with the undead horde as Martian manhunter's intangibility allowed him to face through any of their attacks and with their lack of intelligence striking each other essentially doing the work for him.

Batman's explosive batarangs prove very effective against the zombies as well with blowing them it's a pieces in large groups.

Static and Supergirl attack from the air blasting, blasting the undead Army with a combined force of sheet fishing and electric bolts while staying out of harm's way.

"This will never end if we don't take out the main boss himself!" Supergirl shouted watching Hade's blast fireball out of his mouth to knock her cousin into a pillar.

"Yeah but he already play smack em down with you and big blue, if you're going for around two then you need a plan!" Static replied back sending several blasts towards Wonder Woman and her mother destroying undead soldiers surrounding them. Supergirl paused in mid-air for a moment before a dark smirk form on her lips.

"Oh I got a plan but you might not like it!" Supergirl stated, Static felt a chill ran down his back at the expression she was making.

Superman recovered from the cheap shot and glared at Hade's then speed blitzed through the air with a hard right hook that connected with Hades face so hard it sent shock waves as it blew him off his high piller and sent him crashing through several ruinous structures carving a path all the way to the edge of the city!

"Let's see how he takes that!" Superman grunted hovering in the air as he waited for the mad God to return, an explosion of stone and rubble blew everywhere as Hades flew out landing on the ground looking positively furious at the Man of steel.

"ETERNAL SUFFERING AND TORMENT AWAITS MORTAL! THIS I PROMISE YOU!" Hade's howled, Superman tense and ready him for his counter with a flash of blue light flew past Hades as Static appeared at the gods right flying with three shields magnetic floating in the air connected by an electric line from Static.

"Before I do this, I just want the record to show I was actually against this particular plan, I sincerely apologize!" Static called out, Hades fury was forgotten at the moment as confusion set in at the boys apology to which was replaced with darkness when the three shields he was holding suddenly converge on his head in collapsed into themselves as metal container around his face.

"Man this is so messed!" Static muttered, backing away, Hades snarled as he easily rip the metal off his head blistering with anger in ready to tear the boy apart only for a flash of blonde hair to be his only warning as his whole world exploded into unimaginable pain!

"Money shot!" Supergirl grinned as her fist hammered into the dark gods balls so hard that there was an audible shockwave before he was sent flying with a rather high pitch ungodlike squeal echoing from his throat crashing through dozens of pillars before hitting the edge of the city with a thunderous boom!

"We are never doing that again!" Static said firmly hovering right next to her, neither noticing the looks of both surprised and pity being sent towards Hade's from exchanged they just witnessed.

"Remain me never to trick her off..." Flash said under his breath, Batman was quiet as he used several batarangs to blow up the zombie warriors keeping his opinion to himself as while he saw it the tactic being a salad one he couldn't help but feel a slight bit of pity for any man to get a superpower Kryptonian punch to the junk.

"Yep, that Kara alright." Superman said dryly back handing undead warriors into piece.

"I like that girl." Hippolyta muse out loud approving of her attack, Diana growing up without the massive dislike most Amazon's had for men felt slightly sorry for Hades as she heard getting punched in such a place was extremely painful for men and yet at the same time found it slightly amusing that be it mortal or God the same weakness applied to the male gender.

"Hey quick complaining, we got a clean shot- BRRRHHHH -it!?" both eyes wide as rubble was blown everywhere and Hades arose from the pile holding his crotch and looking nothing like he before.

Hade's skin became gray, his teeth became rat-like, his eyes turned orange, horns grew from his head, his ears became longer and he had three tongues.

"Now you see his true face," Hippolyta said as he glared hatefully at the girl of steel.

ETERNAL DAMNATION AND ENDLESS SUFFERING UNTIL THE END OF ALL THINGS WOULD STILL NOT BE ENOUGH TO REPENT FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!" Hade's bellowed Supergirl blink several times at the fury pointed her way before slowly raising her index finger to the left.

"That whole plan... was totally his idea..." Supergirl said pointing at Static who almost fell over at her shifting the blame.

"Bullshit! That idea was all you!" Static shouted, having heard enough Hade's begin charging at them with such speed that he almost broke the sound barrier, Superman landed in front of them to block his path.

"Fall back both of you!" Superman ordered as Hades near them.

"GET OUT OF MY WAY!" Hades roared as Superman put up his guard only for Hades to speed blitz him with a right hook to the face sending him flying across the underground city slamming into law catacombs wall with a thunderous clap before glaring down at Supergirl who would immediately try to back away only for her to be grabbed by the face and slammed headfirst into a fallen structure.

"This is but an appetizer for what awaits you girl!" Hades shouted running along the ruinous buildings and slamming Supergirl face-first into everyone he came into contact.

"Supergirl!" Static called out taking out one of his shock rods and widen up at see it with hard white boat before throwing it with the speed of lightning directly in the Hades back!

"GGGGGRRRRRR!" the fallen god scream from the attack, throwing the unconscious Supergirl aside and turning his anger towards Static breathes fire in his direction knocking Static back in a building.

"Static!" called Flash called before appearing in front of Hades, punching at him with lighting fast fists, running around him. Annoyed, Hades breathed fire, causing Flash to run away from him.

"Whoa!" he exclaimed as he dodged the fire. "Someone get this guy a breath mint!"

While he was aiming at Flash, J'onn kicked him from above, sending him crashing through the ground. Suddenly, there was a burst of fire and J'onn was blasted away. Hades stood up from the crater, eyeing a recovering Static spotted a sword on the ground next to him.

"I am so going to be sore in the morning after this." Static groan standing "You amuse me boy." Hades said as he appeared in front of Static, (Oh shit!) he thought was surprised to see him there with a sword in hand. "But play time is over." Static aimed a taser punch to Hades face, but the god caught his arm with his free hand and raised his sword.

(This is going to hurt!) 'SHHHHSS' Static was unready to have his left arm completely cut off much to the horse horrors of the Leaguers!"

"STATIC!" Diana cried out taking to the air and flying as fast as she could to aid the use youth.

"Now die!" Hades demand throwing the arm away and raising his sword to cut off Statics head next 'BZZZZD' "huh?" a flash of light caused him to briefly pause 'SSSSZZZZZZHHHHHH' burst of electricity flew everywhere crashing insula God throwing him far back from static forcing Wonder woman to temporarily retreat from her pursuit of aid as the electrical lines flow about randomly destroying anything in their path.

"What is this!?" Batman yelled as he and the rest of the League did their best to dodge the bolt flying everywhere, (So his abilities are still developing at this point.) Hippolyta thought staying at a safe distance while as the electric lines from Static's severed arm connected to the base of his arms where it had been separated before flying back and we attaching itself to the main body.

"Well that... new!" Static gasped as the electric spark slowly died down the part of his coat where his arm had been cut now hung around his wrist while a deep tingling sensation was jumping up and down his re-attached arm. Hades watching this suddenly had a looking of enlightenment about as he gave a small gasp.

"His arm re-attached itself to his body!?" Diana whispered in disbelief at what she just saw.

"Okay that's kind of cool and freaky at the same time." Flash commented holding up a slightly burned Martian manhunter who was still recovering from the roasting he got from Hades.

"Regeneration or body self reattachment? Static was surprised by that, meaning He was unaware and didn't do so consciously." Batman deduced as well as quickly thinking about the larger implications at play here, it only took him a few moments to remember that Static gained his abilities little more than a year ago meaning it was very much likely that they were either still developing or he simply didn't have a good grasp of what he was truly capable of. Of course it could always be both as well.

"Okay, I did not know my body could do that." Static whispers slowly flexing his fingers in awe and was quick to notice the slow reaction time and motor functions of his arm he also take notice of the mess drop in his electric power levels meaning he needed to recharge. At that moment Supergirl landed in front of him with her face now covered in bruises and looking slightly worse for wear as there was some damages to her costume.

"Okay that hurt, what I'd miss and what was up with the light show? You showing off or something?" Supergirl asked having recently regained consciousness, "Umm..." before static could reply Hades began stomping towards them.

"I recognize you now boy how are you still alive, you should have died ages-" "ENOUGH!" Superman's thunderous voice suddenly wrangled cutting off Hades is a powerful fist pounded into his face knocking the underworld God away from the teens into a pillar!

"No more Hades I'm taking you down now!" Superman declared he was still recovering from the punch Hades had given him when he watched the mad God cut off Static arm in horror then watched in amazement as it's somehow reattached himself fencing that statics body had some type of automatic repairing function. However this was immediately put on the back burner when Hades began making his move back forwards static and his cousin leaving him absolutely furious at the harm he had already caused both of them.

"Both of you stay behind me!" Diana called out as she landed in front of static and Supergirl, Hades quickly recover jumping back to his feet and glaring at Superman.

"You don't learn mortal, you will never win against a god!" Hades declared rushing at Superman throwing another a strong right only for his for to catch this time as he ground beneath him craters a bit.

"I'll be the judge of that!" Superman said before snapping his own right fist back and slamming it into Hades gut sending him flying in the air.

"What power!" Hippolyta said mystified by the display of strength Superman just showed with her even daring to acknowledge he's was probably far greater than even Hercules.

"And since you really are a god there is no longer any need for me to hold back!" Superman declared speeding into the air faster than the eye could follow appearing behind Hades before he hit the ceiling two claps his hands together and Hammer fist Hades right back into the ground level sending a massive shockwave that level the entire field around him!

"Seriously where was all that power at earlier!" Static asked stun holding a Shock Box he used to recharge, Superman go from being manhandled to now dominating the god of the underworld himself really made him question why he was only now getting serious.

"This is just what happens when my cousin finally serious!" Supergirl smirk as Superman landed in front of Hades who was slowly rising to his feet groaning in pain while the Man of steel eyed the gate to the underworld right behind the fallen God. Precisely as intended.

"This is your only warning, either return to the underworld peacefully or I'll send you back there by force!" Superman declared, Hades layered furiously at the Man of steel not used to mortals giving him an ultimatum but quickly understood that this one at the very least had the power to carry through his threat.

"I admit I underestimated you, you are definitely strong stronger than that brutish fool of a nephew of mine but you will now learn the wrath of a god!" Hades bellows before inhaling deeply, seeing what was about to happen Superman followed suit taking a deep breath.

"EVERYONE GET BACK!" Batman called out firing his grappling hook at a pillar far away to pull him out of the radius Flash in John's Martian manhunter both blitz away with the former quickly grabbing the Amazon queen just safety, heading his advice Diana, Static, and Supergirl all took to the sky as a moment later both Titans unleash their breath attacks.

Hades shooting out his strongest flames from his mouth that were so hot they actually melted concrete structures that weren't even near him. countering this Superman release the full power of his freezing breath instantly clashing with the furious flames of Hades in a surprisingly great show of power as the two elements bombarded each other for supremacy.

"Oh my God, my cousin is fighting evenly with an actual god!" Supergirl said having a fan girl moment. Diana was left mystify she remember winning sparring matches with Superman the few times he agree to train with her but now she truly questions just how much he was holding back. Diana was well aware that in terms of both strength and speed Superman outclassed her and figured it was just her higher combat skills that gave her the edge but Diana now question just how much that would matter if he truly fought her with his full strength.

(Impossible!) Hades thought as he watched his most powerful flames being overruled by the freezing breath attack of the mortal he was facing.

"He winning, way to go blu- wait a minute!" Flash pause in his cheering when he took notice of the fact that the remaining remnants of the undead Army they had been stationary once their battle started going at it with Superman where now charging at his exposed back.

"Oh no ya don't!" Flash yelled, leaving J'onn to look after Hippolyta and raced over to the zombies attempting to attack Superman from behind smashing them into pieces.

Superman was grateful for Flashs help as his frost breath was closing in on Hades. pushing his attack further than it has ever been Superman added even more Mike behind his freezing gailforce, completely extinguishing Hades flame in covering the dark God along with the entire area around him in a large pillar of ice!

"Whoa, I... did not know we could do that." Supergirl whispered watching in awesome and wondering when she would be able to do the same.

"Interesting." Batman said quietly now I eyeing Superman in a different light he seriously doubt doubted that Superman created that massive pillar of ice on purpose. in all likelihood dealing with the force are more powerful than any did ever encounter was causing them to push their abilities to further heights Awakening new power sort of speak.

"There no guaranteed but this is really the upper limit of what they're capable of after all when push comes to shove they made be able to awaken new states of power." Batman found this both intriguing and a big wearying after all he currently categorized everyone's abilities and how best to counter them if they ever went rogue but if new abilities were capable of appearing that made things difficult.

"Did that do it, did I win?" Superman questions for one of the few times in his life actually having to catch breath, he had never pushed his frost breath to such an extent and was certainly surprised at the level of ice able to create as before he could only in case somebody in a body size of ice but you create such a giant chunk that was several stories tall was a new feet for him in which certainly bear looking into later.

"Well, I think we won, no way he getting out of-" 'CLANK' "that!?" Flashs wonders died in his mouth as large cracks begin to form from the inside of the eye structure before a second later it completely shattered.

"You just had to jinx us!" Static called out as they shield themselves from the ice shrapnel!

"Oh flash be sure not to choke on your own golden foot!" Supergirl called out dodging ice chunks along with static while Wonder woman either deflected the smaller ones with her bracelet or smash the bigger ones with her bare fists.

"He just won't give up!" Hippolyta growled Hades persistence as the ice cleared show showing her former lover alive breathing heavily and glaring absolutely furious it's Superman.

"You dare think you can beat a god with mere ice!?" He question feeling insulted, Superman's face twisted into uncharacteristically anger as his eyes glowed bright red.

"Then let's try a full blast of blazing heat vision!" Superman Ward firing a field covering heat vision from his eyes completely in enveloping Hades in his red rays!

"Holy shit, we can do that!?" Supergirl gasped stun at seeing another more advanced method of using their abilities she had always known she could fire her heat vision in the form of laser beams from her eyes but had not known that they could be used to cover a such a wide range as a field attack together it really made her question just what other advance forms of their abilities she was unaware of.

"It not enough!" Batman yelled seeing Hades still standing through the blinding red rays though he now had to raise his arms over his face or what little protection he could offer himself.

"Fool I can handle this much, once this attack dies off I will tear your head off!" Hades howled, "Then let's see how much you can take!" Superman shouted pouring even more.

"Kal-El, stop! Let's fight him together!" Diana called out as his heat vision attack intensified to the point J'onn drop to his knees.

"What heat, even this far away I feel it." J'onn moan sweating profusely, even bad man had to put more distance between them as they cheat was literally starting to melt his suit.

"This is bad, he not stopping, at this rate before Hades goes down everyone might-" Batman pause then his diagnostic as he and everybody else eyes widen when something they never seen before began to happen to the Man of steel... he was glowing bright red and yellow.

"he's glowing, Superman is literally glowing right now... can kryptonians do that?" Flash asked looking at Supergirl.

"If we can I didn't know." Supergirl reply mildly unable to take her eyes off of what she was seeing.

"Kal-El! YOU HAVE TO STOP SOMETHING'S WRONG" Diana shouted realizing that not only was that glow getting brighter but it was starting to burn away his costume.

"I... CAN'T... NOOOO... RUNNNNN!" Superman gag as red energy began to pour out of his mouth ears and nostrils, statics own eyes began to widen to eye popping proportions is chills begin to run up and down his spine.

"Hey, hey, hey, that way to much energy!" At this rate... Nope I'm calling it, time to go!" Static muttered out his com-link and signaling everyone causing Batmans utility belt the yellow buckle on Martian manhunter's belt and the lightning bolts on Flash's waist all begin lighting up.

"I'M CALLING IT! A FULL ON RETREAT! SUPERMAN'S PUMPING OUT WAY MORE POWER THAN AN ATOM BOMB! AND AT THIS RATE HE'S LITERALLY ABOUT TO EXPLODE!" everybody was left horrified, at Static's declaration.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" Hades strained feeling even more power gushing out of the mortals body, his own clothing all but incinerated yet the outpour of red rays continue to press on.

"EVERYONE! RUN! RUNAWAY!" Superman howled as his body could no longer even be seen! J'onn fearing the worst quickly grabbed the Amazon queen flying off to pick up Batman's then heading to the entrance with the others following.

"What the hell is an atom bomb!" Diana shouted, 'BRRRRRRRRRSSSSSSHHHHHH' no reply was given as Superman finally detonated bursting in a blinding for flair of red light!

"HIPPOLYTA!" Hades cried as the blast was too much for even him to take and he was blown off his feet right into the gates of the underworld! however the detonated energy bomb that was Superman didn't stop there it continued on destroying everything it's in its path seemingly following the fleeing Leaguers at unimaginable speeds!

"Holy crap, that superbomb is actually catching up. We're not going to make it!" Flash shouted, looking back and noticing that the crimson blast was indeed catching up to them Supergirl took the lead by flying in front of them!

"Everybody, follow me!" Supergirl shouted grabbing her cape, twisting it around her, then begin spinning at supersonic speed drilling into the ceiling above them.

Understanding what she was doing everybody followed suit through the hole she was making, J'onn following right behind her still holding Batman along with Hippolyta to which the dark crusader took out two breathing apparatuses, put one in his mouth handing the second to Hippolyta and told her to do the same. despite not knowing what they were and not liking the idea of a man ordering her about seeing him bite down on one so desperately gave the queen a clear indication that it would probably be in her best interest to just this once do as the man said.

Diana having grabbed Flash from the ground level made sure static was right behind her before briefly wondering if she could do this handy little trick as well. she understood it took a great deal of speed and invulnerability to be able to do such a thing without tearing the body apart and even recognize that both Superman and Supergirl had vastly harder bodies than her own but still felt that she may be able to do it seeing as she was quite durable herself and exceptionally faster than any normal human.

Finally reaching the end of her tunneling through the Earth Supergirl burst into the sea above ending her cycloning that left her slightly dizzy before spiriting towards the surface with the rest of the Justice league following in suit. Hippolyta immediately understood the true nature of the device Batman handed her as upon exiting in the sea she was immediately began receiving oxygen from the breathing apparatus, Flash on the other hand having not got one had to hold his breath and hope that his Martian friend could get him to the surface before he drowned.

Static upon exiting into the sea immediately pulled out his own breathing apparatus sticking in his mouth and sucking on to the much-needed oxygen well also faking his thanking his own foresight of learning how to use his magnetic abilities underwater without the need of his electric magnetism.

(Uh Oh!) Static thought feeling the rumbling beneath him and immediately begin flying to the surface as the seafloor began blowing bright red before bursting with energy! All Leaguers immediately exited the see fly as high in far as and as fast away as possible! 'BAOOOOSSSSHHH'

"Holy shit, that just... Wow!" Static whispered as he and the rest of the League long with Hippolyta in Supergirl watch a large energy burst out of the sea covering more than two hundred miles wide in diameter and extending several hundred meters high into the sky.

"The little boy-atom bomb was only five miles wide, it didn't have nothing on this!" Static said as the other looked on speechless as the level of untold destruction one man just unleashed.

"Fascinating." Faust whispered able to see it from his place up-top a themyscira Temple, he knew the Justice League were powerful but he had no idea they were capable of anything like that. originally he had stayed behind hoping to see who came out of the buried city first to determine his next course of action but after this site he was just gift it to he took a deep breath before looking down at the petrified Amazons.

"Probably best I don't give him a reason to chase after me in a blood rage." Faust muttered as his hands began to glow.

the blast finally began to die down leaving a Two hundred mile wide hole in the sea below them that quickly filled with water like a whirlpool that upon reaching fruition bursting up stream like a geyser then finally died down.

"Kal..." Supergirl whispered in worry of what became of her cousin, it was only now the full implications of what just happened was starting to set in Superman had detonated like an overpowered megaton Atom-bomb! it was highly unlikely that he survived.

Philip Rollins I just finished typing up the work order to replace the stolen tech when his assistant Sara Adams walk inside holding a single file in her arms.

"Ah, Adams. What have you got for me?" Philip asked as he was hand the file by his brown haired assistant.

"Here you go sir it seems like the check was stolen from a combination of Alvin industries STAR labs and even the small Wayne check branch in Dakota City." said stated as he looked through the file it may have just been her imagination but as his eyes overlook the paperwork he was just giving it almost seemed like he was losing week's worth of sleep all at once.

"Thank... you Adams. You can retire for the night." he said Loli the brown haired woman looked at him with concern but did as she was told and exited the room. sitting back in his chair Philips couldn't help but feel like he was placed into a bind a horrible device that should never have been created from sixty years ago was now once again being put together and it could only be done by one man.

"So much for enjoying retirement." he groan packing up he had to get home and track his old, mentor.

The sun had finally arose over Themyscira, the remaining members of the Justice League stood at the coastline to the Sea overlooking the waves as if waiting for something. the mood of victory was not a high one as it may have come at the cost of one of the world's greatest heroes and a dear friend of theirs.

"Anything?" J'onn asked looking at Batman who was typing away at a mini computer fixed into the back glove of his right hand.

"Nothing yet, the heat from the bar last has yet to go away despite the place being covered in water but that's all I can tell the watchtower wasn't designed to be a eagle in the sky." Batman said in a monotone to hide the sense of dread in worried inside of him, J'onn looked at the Dark Knight then to Supergirl who was being held by Static in an effort to comfort her even letting her rest her head on his shoulder. words cannot describe the sense of anxiety she felt with not knowing of her cousin's fate only able to guess and her just work were all of dark ends.

"Any luck." A voice spoke, everyone look to the beach head to see Diana and hippolyta walking toward them with several dozen Amazonian soldiers marching behind.

"Your people have been freed?" J'onn question as opposed to a gave a command for most of them to remain at the beach head while she Diana a red-haired Amazon and a blinded haired one continue their approach to the Leaguers.

"Yes, Faust work no doubt, if I had to guess she probably didn't like the notion of us hunting him down." Diana stated standing in from of J'onn and Batman, seeing Supergirl still weeping into Static gave her a heavy heart.

"Still nothing I take it." it wasn't a question even as they shake their heads Diana felt an overwhelming amount of guilt. it was her people's problem that led to this. The idea that her involvement of her teammates let to one of their deaths. It was too much to bare.

"well at least that man gets something of value in his miserable life." the blonde haired Amazon muttered getting several glares from all.

"hold your tongue Aresia!" Artemis captain of the guard spoke angrily to the junior lieutenant.

"a stranger came to this island looking to help us not only fought with a dark God but even destroyed the City of the Dead along with the gate finally setting us free from that accursed place." Artemis declared

"Man or not, if he truly parish then he died a warrior's death and as such he deserves respect." Artemis said, she had no love for men but understood that not all where scum like Hercules and would not have the actions of one who fought to save a me being Sully with ignorant words.

"But it was because of a man we-" "Artemis that enough." Hippolyta said ordering her back to the beach head with the rest of the Amazons, she gave a brief glare at the male Leaguers before marching back as told.

"Forgive her, she is young and her past was not kind to her, there are reasons for her words but they should not be pointed towards your friend." Hippolyta stated a simple nod was all she was given.

"Forgive me but if Superman has dead what will become of that one?" she asked gesturing towards Supergirl, Diana wasn't sure how to answer that and she really didn't know what life was like for Superman outside of his hero duties.

"I don't know, we can only hope that-" "Hey I see something!" flash called out having not taking his eyes off of this scene not even when the group of sexy Amazon showed up focusing only on trying to find a glimmer of hope and seems to have finally been rewarded it's seen movement of somebody swimming toward them.

"By the gods..." Diana gasped as Flash zip lined over to the figure and much to their joy it was none of the other than Superman himself. Exhausted, his outfit all but gone, leaving just enough to cover his dignity, but alive none a less.

"Kal!" Supergirl cried flying towards her cousin who was being pulled out of the sea by Flash and grabbed him in a bear old that caused him to groan in pain.

"Easy there Kara I'm kind of powerless right now." Superman revealed causing her to lighten up on the strength but not let go.

"Sorry, but you had be worried. Neat trick back there though no in a hurry to be thought that one." Supergirl said wiping the tears from her face relieved to see him alive.

"So still alive, good. Mine explaining what all of that was about?" Batman asked walking up to him with the rest of the relieve League.

"Well yes I'm alive thank you for worrying." Superman said sarcastically.

"We were totally worry but Batman's M.O. is to act like a dick so..." Virgil didn't finish as he got the most frightening glare from the Dark Knight yet and hid behind Diana out of fear who chuckled at the misfit teen. Watch him Hippolyta and Artemis looked on amused and how the Leaguers went from full of worry that they lost one of their comrades to joking about already.

"So he turns, most impressive." Artemis said looking at Superman.

"Yeah indeed, to have not only fought Hades but come out victorious and live to tell the tale is not something most would be able to do." Hippolyta agree Artemis however had her I settled on the young. Dark skinned teen currently hiding behind their princess. "Her majesty that boy isn't he..."

"Say thing, it far from time for us to speak with him." Hippolyta Order looking at Static, Artemis simply stated as she felt that with their meeting of him as well as the punishment awaiting Diana it truly felt like the wheels of fate were starting to turn.

Morris Grant age 74 currently a resident of the senior citizen retirement home and Dakota.

he had started his day off normal enough getting up going to the bathroom washing his hands getting breakfast then waiting till about 9 when that young pretty thing Madelyn Spaulding would come for her shift today hopefully bringing the comic books he asked her to buy for him.

It might seem a bit unethical for a senior citizen requesting one of the employees to buy comic books for him but they hardly let him leave regardless of the fact that he was in perfect shape despite his age but this was the hand he was dealt and besides he always paid her back.

So imagine his surprise when he was pulled to the side by one of the staff managers asking if he knew the location of said girl.

"No why, what going on?" Morris ask sitting in the manager's office as the 30 something year old man side.

"I probably shouldn't be telling you this but you and that girl always got along despite how much both of she tried to hide it." Marcus Monroe said looking at his elder, even just about every other manager had known that Madelyn favored Mister Grant likely due to her secret Love of comic books that she desperately try to hide ane his own enjoyment of them as well which caused the two to bond so to speak.

"Her family just called, Madelyn Spaulding is missing." Morris's eye's widen at hearing this and he was immediately filled with worry.

"She had been bedridden for sometime but her family know she's something of a workaholic so they were hoping that Madelyn had came to work." manager of Monroe stated.

"I'm sorry but I hadn't heard from her for two days believe me if I knew anything I tell you." Morris's replied truthfully causing him to sigh I sadly.

"I see, I'll have to inform her family. Please keep quiet about this." Morris nodded exiting the office now worry for the young girls safety.

"Maybe it time to break out the old gear." Morris mumbled under his breath before slapping his forehead for even thinking that surely there was no need for a retired superhero from the 60s to jump back in the costume Dakota already had a new electric power hero flying around him and the police should be enough to find a girl if she's really gotten into trouble... right.

'Oh baby. baby. baby!' his ringtone went off singing a song that he had not assigned to it making him grown as only Madelyn could have changed his ringtone.

"Only that girl could both make me worry for her and make me annoyed at her." she grumbled taking out his phone and being thankful that nobody in the hallway was there to hear his embarrassing ringtone.

"Hello?" he answered.

"Mr. Grant it's been awhile." Morris immediately perked up and hearing a voice you hadn't heard of from in years.

"Philip finally decide to drop a call after all these years huh." he said ruefully having not heard from his friend in over 30 years

"Yeah though I wish it was under better circumstances." Philip replied leaning back in his chair well rubbing his forehead at the colossal headache that was coming his way.

"Something wrong son?" Morris asked in a serious tone.

"It's Menace he's back." Philip said bluntly getting a serious gasp from the old man who almost felt like he was about to have a heart attack looking around the hallway he quickly walked into move towards a nearby bathroom and entered a stall all the way at the back.

"You cannot be serious he's been dead for 50 years!" Morris exclaimed unable to believe it was possible that one of his greatest super villains from years long past was back.

"We never found his body plus I'm sure you're aware of all the stolen tech that's been happening and Dakota recently correct?" Philip asked Morris, nodded fighting himself filled with Dread and she remember reading all about the series of high-tech theft going around Dakota's most advanced technological firms.

"I just took a look at what type of tech was stolen and it's virtually all the components necessary for a P.E.S.D! He the only one on Earth cable of building it!" Philip said in from tone, Morris Frozen place allowing the cell phone to slip out of his hand collateral to the floor as his form of protege called out wondering what had happened.

There was simply no way for Philip Rollins to know of the level of horror that just washed over his former mentor, P.E.S.D.: Psychic Energy Siphoning Device! a machine built to steal psychic energy from telepaths... Such as, "Madelyn."
