Harmonia (Hope)'s POV
"Crap." Harmonia seethed, before glancing around, hurriedly, to make sure that no one had heard her 'cuss.'
Of course, it didn't matter, seeing as she was in the middle of nowhere with a broken car.
She had been coming home from a 'Feed the Yellow-Bellied Sapsucker' rally, in New Jersey, when her car had broken down.
In the middle of nowhere.
At night.
She sighed, at least glad that she was wearing jeans and a jacket, instead of a skirt and high heels, like Aphrodite had wanted her to wear.
She began to walk down the dark road, shivering. Harmonia was feeling slightly nervous, and she glanced around, struggling to calm herself down.
Seeing the dark van moving down the road towards her helped nothing.
The van began moving along side her, and the tinted window rolled down, revealing a man in a dark hood, that shadowed his face. "Hey, babe!" The boy called, in a voice that sounded like a bass guitar. "Need a ride?"
"Uh… No." Harmonia replied, nervously, beginning to walk faster. However, the van easily kept pace with her. Oh, why didn't she accept that cell phone from Hestia?!
"You sure?" The man asked.
"P-positive." Harmonia replied, barely keeping herself from sprinting away.
"Where are you goin'?" The man asked, ignoring the fact that she did not want to talk to him.
"New York."
"Oh, that's where we're going! Get on in!"
"Uh… No." Harmonia replied, now becoming very anxious as she began to speed walk.
"Your choice." The man, said, coldly, and the car pulled away from her, parking behind her.
Okay, now Harmonia was really freaking out. She began to sprint, praying to-well, no one, because all the gods were down on earth!
The sound of a couple of heavy footsteps could be heard running after, jeering and yelling as they followed her…
The last thing Harmonia saw before they caught up to her was a flash of golden eyes…
Demeter (Lily)'s POV
The pizza was absolutely delicious.
Some of it was even vegetarian, for Demeter.
A good amount of the god sat in the entertainment room, with Percy, Annabeth, Reyna, Thalia, Piper, Jason, and Leo.
Thalia and Artemis sat together, at the table, talking about… Archery tips, or something. Apollo was talking to them, as well, though it eventually devolved into a three-way challenge about who was better. The three of them soon ran outside, to prove who was the 'best.'
Jason, Hercules, and Zeus were talking, while standing, about sports. Jason was football player for Goode High. Go figure. Hercules was asking him about the wrestling, while Zeus wanted to know about pretty much everything… Except swimming.
Piper was sitting, with her head on Percy's lap, as she talked to Persephone. He was laughing about something she said. (Ugh, why do I love Piper/Percy best friends?)
Percy then turned back to his conversation with Annabeth and Athena. They seemed to be talking about… Greece? Lame. Demeter thought. They should talk about cereal.
Reyna was sitting with Hebe, on the couch, as Hebe told her about something that happened at the party last night. Reyna was looking a little alarmed.
Hermes and Leo were laughing about something that happened in detention. Apparently, the teacher in charge's cell phone began to ring, uncontrollably, after she came back from the bathroom. And, every time she answered it, animal noises and Darth Vader-like breathing could be heard.
Demeter sighed, curling up against her boyfriend. He smelled like the sea. It was really nice… Though, to tell you the truth, she enjoyed the scents of fruit, or grain, or other growing things better.
"So, Annabeth…" Demeter began, cutting into their conversation. The blonde girl and her very Poseidon-like boyfriend turned to look at her. "Where are you thinking on going to school?"
There was a small flicker of hesitation, before Annabeth replied, "University of Southern California."
"Yeah, we're both going to go there, next year." Percy said, wrapping an arm around his girlfriend and kissing her cheek.
"Percabeth!" Aphrodite squealed from the loveseat, and nearly everyone turned to look at her. "What?" She demanded. "They're cute!"
Demeter rolled her eyes, turning back to the couple. They were cute, Aphrodite was right. Though, they need to eat more cereal.
I bet she likes Raisin Bran. He probably likes… Lucky Charms.
"So… An Icebreaker… What's your favorite cereal?" Demeter asked the couple. Athena raised an eyebrow at her, before rolling her eyes.
"Uh… Raisin Bran." Annabeth said, awkwardly, though her eyes were narrowed at the Goddess of Grain.
One for Two.
"Lucky charms!" Percy said, grinning stupidly.
Two for Two. Yes!
Poseidon wrapped an arm around her, as if to get his girlfriend to stop talking. "So, what clubs are you two doing? I know you're Captain of the Swim Team, Percy, but…"
"Well, I do swimming. I'm going to do baseball in the fall, and I was thinking of joining the Goode People club, where Annabeth and I'd go out and help with things like Soup Kitchens, and such." Percy replied, giving Annabeth's shoulders a squeeze at the mention of her name.
"Annabeth?" Athena asked. "What about you?"
"Well, I run track, I'm part of the Chess Club, the Goode People club, and I help direct the Goode Theater Productions. I'm part of the Academic Decathlon team. I'm also Vice President of the Debate Club. I ran for President, but Pipes beat me."
"Heck yeah, I did!" 'Pipes' called, and stuck her tongue out at her friend. Annabeth returned the gesture, laughing.
"What about you, Piper?" Demeter asked, to bring the daughter of Aphrodite into the conversation.
"Debate club, obviously." Piper said, suppressing her laughs. "Er… Goode Theater. I run track, with Annabeth, and then I'm…. Secretary of the Student Council."
"What about you guys?" Percy asked, friendly as always.
Poseidon grinned. "Swim Team… Fishing team. Catch and release only! That's…. about it."
"Hmmm… Garden club…. Future Farmers of America… And… That's it." Demeter shrugged, sighing, as she realized that she was not involved at all.
"Sophia?" Annabeth asked, turning to her Mother/New friend.
"I was going to try out for the Chess Club… Student Council… Debate Team… Science Club… History Club… Academic Decathlon team… I'm planning on running track. I throw Javelins very well." 'Sophia' answered, smugly, as she smirked at how much more involved she was than Poseidon and his idiotic girlfriend.
"That's cool." Annabeth grinned at her friend. "We've been needing a good Javelin-thrower for a while now. Piper just doesn't cut it, anymore."
"Hey!" Piper protested, weakly, though it just made everyone in the conversation begin to laugh.
The phone began to ring, interrupting their conversation. However, before one of them could get up to answer it, it was picked up by someone in a different room, presumably Hestia.
Piper grinned, slyly, at Annabeth. "Hey, Annie, wanna get me a coke?"
Annabeth frowned, but got up to get it, anyways.
Percy laughed, but fell silent when Annabeth shot him a glare. The Son of Poseidon lightly patted Piper on the head, chuckling under his breath.
"Oh, did I say a coke?" Piper said, smugly, when Annabeth returned. "I meant a pepsi. Get me one, would you, dear?"
"Oh, me too!" Percy put in, earning another glare from his girlfriend.
"Oh, get Percy one, too." Piper grinned.
Annabeth sighed, and moved off to fulfill the wishes of the Daughter of Aphrodite, which sent Percy, Piper, Poseidon, and Demeter into another round of giggles, while Athena watched her, frowning.
Suddenly, Hestia burst into the room, her eyes wild with fear. "G-guys!" Instantly, all of the gods-turned-teenagers and demigods looked to her, quizzically. The gods-turned-teenagers slowly got to their feet, becoming nervous.
"The police found… Ha-Hope." Hestia said, tears beginning to fill her eyes. "She's…. She's in the Hospital!"
