A/N: Sorry that this installment is so terribly short! I just felt like I needed to get something up to help me get back in that grove again. Thank you for being patient, all of those who have stuck with me, I greatly appreciate it!

Disclaimer: I do not own The Addams Family sadly enough, all of that belongs to Paramount and Chas Addams. :)

The ball was of course her mother's idea and she hated it all the more. Gomez would be there. And she wouldn't be able to so much as look at him without her mother knowing what they had done. The woman was planning on setting Ophelia up with Gomez and they would be married by the end of the week. From there, Morticia and Gomez would surely make a serious number of sins, she was certain.

"Hurry, Tishy, guests will be arriving soon and we can't have our own flesh and blood being late for the party!" Ophelia danced into the room on her toes as was usual though this particular evening Morticia found the motions even more irritating than normal.

"Go away, Ophelia, I'm not attending," she snapped, digging in her bag for her pair of earbuds and her IPod so she wouldn't have to listen to the constant badgering.

"What?! It's practically my engagement party, you can't NOT go!" the blonde all but shrieked and her sister curled her lip in response, leveling the older sibling with a glare made of ice shards.

"Watch me."

Ophelia stared at the younger of the two in disbelief for several long moments, trying to decide if she was being serious or not and then apparently deciding that she was and turning on her heel. "Mother! Morticia's not coming to the party!" she turned back around quickly and smirked at Morticia before skipping back to her own room to finish getting ready just before the hated voice of their mother came screaming up the stairs.

"Morticia Amelia Frump, get down here, now!"

The raven haired girl just sighed and put her earbuds in after finally finding them, turning the music up as loud as it would go and closing her eyes. She stayed like that for the majority of the party, refusing to go downstairs and sneak a look at the man she loved but who could never truly be hers.

When she opened her eyes again it was almost midnight and, despite her almost desperate attempts at sleep, sleep had not come. She was a bit upset about that but there really wasn't anything else she could do about it.

"Morticia!"

The pale woman sat up at the rather loud whisper, looking around, confused. It sounded just like Gomez but she couldn't figure out why he would be there, in the upstairs part of the Frump mansion, her mother was very particular and watchful during her parties, there would have been no way for him to sneak away up the stairs that she knew of.

"Cara mia, please!"

That got her attention. She got up, following the whisper to the upstairs bathroom, the one that her and her sister shared and found him there, hiding behind the door and whispering rather obnoxiously to get her attention, causing her to smile, despite herself.

"Gomez… how did you-?" she was cut off suddenly by his lips on hers and at that point it didn't matter to her how he got there.

A/N: Please review! I know it's been a while, as I've said and I'm sorry for that, but I still like knowing what my readers have to say!
