This is my favourite chapter so far. Everything about it feels real and Baird talking it out with Sam was really satisfying to read.

I would have loved to read his point of view when he went looking for her but the line about water droplets in his eyelashes makes up for it. :)

These were fantastic! As my 20 year old son would say, "I love me some Baird and Sam!" Can't wait to read more!

Oh man, neurotic analyzing and paranoia and insecurity! Been there! And having to have friends do what Cole is doing here. Thank God for people to reassure you _ That wondering where it is you stack up that Baird is doing, i feel for him, man.

Nice story into the life of Sam and Baird after Gears of War 3 and a few chapters before or during it as well. I wonder if you'll move further in their relationship to things like marriage, pregnancy, dealing with parenthood, etc.
