Love, love, love this story so much! The plot is excellent, the writing is accurate and amazing, and the whole story just sucked me in. I love it so much.
Anonomous chapter 10 . 4/6/2015
Very good story line. Well thought out and well written. Some of the sentence structures were a bit awkward, but overall, great writing and very enjoyable.

It read so much like watching the show, I could really see this happening. You really nailed the characters and the feel of the show. Thanks
Guest chapter 10 . 1/8/2015
Oops I wasn't done yet! Lol. Anyway, I thought it was awesome that Cas quoted Dean and Bobby like that. It was hilarious, but also sweet because it showed how much he respects his friends- emulates them.

Fabulous job! I'd favorite this again if I could. ;)

LilyBolt chapter 10 . 1/8/2015
This ending was PERFECT! There was of course the awesomeness of Sam (and Cas) motherhenning over Dean while he's still injured. I particularly liked that Dean let them fuss over him a bit because he knew he didn't stand a chance "against two sets of puppy dog eyes". Lol I also adored Dean's drowsy/druggy banter with Sam in the car. Him teasing Sam that now he knows how it feels to watch his brother get the life nearly choked out of him was great. Also, the way you described Dean as hugging his pillow "like it was the best friend he'd ever had" made me chuckle AND smile at how adorable that mental image is. Lol But by far, the thing I loved most about this chapter was that you let Castiel offer comfort to Sam. I remember at the start if this story it was mentioned that Sam still harbored a lot of guilt, and that even Dean had given up on trying to directly convince Sam not to be so hard on himself... To have it be Cas- the angel who was never as outwardly close with Sam as he is to Dean- be the one to finally get through to the younger Winchester and help him feel better, was wonderful. I love the bond between Dean and Cas on the show, but it's always nice to see Sam getting to bond with Cas as well. :) Excellent choice to go that route, and really, excellent job with this story as a whole! :D

P.S. Perhaps my favorite moment in this chapter was when Castiel quoted Dean and Bobby to end his chick-flick moment with San.
LilyBolt chapter 9 . 1/8/2015
Man, I really wish this story had taken place as an actual episode in the show! It was so cool, and full of so many twists and turns! I especially LOVED that in the end, Alse wasn't evil. It made sense that as an extremely religious woman in her life, she would not have actually enjoyed being a servant of Hell in her death. I loved that she saved Castiel in the end. It was awesome! Now I gotta admit I feel pretty bad about making so many jokes about Valerie's rotten luck, because in the end she didn't survive the fight. Of course it made sense that she wouldn't. Cas did what he needed to do, and sadly Valerie ended up a casualty of war. But it was necessary for the angel's survival. And speaking of survival... Oh thank Chuck that Dean lived! I was very worried as Sam was doing the CPR. Dean seemed so far gone... I was downright giddy when Dean came back. :D I can't wait to read the very last chapter/epilogue!

P.S. My favorite part of this chapter was the fact that Sam was the one to save not just Dean, but kind of the day in general. If he hadn't managed to break free of the vines, then Cas wouldn't have been freed of the holy fire ring, and Dean would not have been rescued in time. It was nice to see a story in which Sam got to be heroic like that. As much as I love stories where Dean gets to save his brother, it's good to see it go the other way from time to time, too. ;)
LilyBolt chapter 8 . 1/8/2015
Oh my Chuck that was a big 'ol PLOT TWIST! Lol I was expecting the demon to just be bad luck on top of the case. It REALLY should have occurred to me that it was all a set up. After all, we know witches get their power for dark magic (like heavy curses) from serving demons, and it also seemed strange that their informant Ross died so soon after tipping them off... It all makes so much sense! (I know I said that last time, but I mean it make even MORE "so much sense" now. lol) But crap oh poor Dean! I hope Sam and/or Cas have found a way to rescue him! I simply MUST know what happens next! :0

P.S. My favorite part was actually that spell you made up. Reading your translations, it all seemed totally believable to me. Nice job creating a spell so you wouldn't have to explore any dark crap in the internet! (Better safe than sorry, right?) ;)
LilyBolt chapter 7 . 1/8/2015
It all makes so much sense now! Wow, I truly love how well all the pieces clicked together. I love that the book was passed down through the generations, carrying with it Alse's curse... Except all the generations were men until Valerie came along. It seems that Valerie really does have rotten luck after all. Especially because she's getting possessed by a demon on top of everything else. Lol The last thing I'm really curious about (ok, second to last because I definitely want to know what's up with the demon, too) is why the vengeful spirit seems so interested in Castiel- why it keeps reaching out to him. I can't wait to figure it all out! Oh, and have I mentioned yet...OMG NO THE BOYS ARE IN TROUBLE! Lol I sure hope they find a way to wiggle out if this situation before the demon has all that "fun" with Dean she was talking about, because I get the feeling her kind of a good time is NOT the same as Dean's. :P

P.S. My favorite part was when Sam said he'd bet the Impala that his theory was correct, and Dean automatically scolded him for it. Very good brotherly moment. ;)
LilyBolt chapter 6 . 1/8/2015
Ooooh! So Valerie is linked to all these deaths! And it seems like the demon came even after the murders began, so it looks to me like poor Valerie has the world's most rotten luck, always attracting dangerous supernatural creatures... Then again, she managed to attract the Winchester boys (angel included), and to LITERALLY attract Dean, so maybe her luck isn't so terrible after all. Lol ;) Anyway I'm all abuzz with curiosity now. I'm still really impressed by how much this story feels like an actual episode- leaving me with little clues and new pieces of info at every turn, but the bigger picture is just hazy enough still to keep me guessing. It's awesome! :D I certainly look forward to reading more!

P.S. My favorite part was when Sam pointed out that most psychopaths don't choose to live someplace that "screams 'serial killer'". Lol I also liked Sam's little moment of internal jealousy that Dean's overtly flirty nature might have paid off for the elder Winchester. ;)
LilyBolt chapter 5 . 1/7/2015
Ok, so this chapter reminded me of how awesome Castiel is. There were loads of reasons, but I'll stick to the main two. First, I think it's great that you're letting Castiel sense things that Sam and Dean don't seem to able to. Even as he weakens from being cut off from Heaven, Cas still has done angelic powers, and it makes sense that he'd be able to use them to the benefit of the investigation. Whether he knows it or not. By that I mean Cas could sense the victims were not evil, and he did so consciously. But what he's feeling and hearing in relation to the spirit seems to be a link he's less aware of. Anyway, it's cool to see him take on such a useful role in the case. And speaking of useful, that brings me to the second main thing... Cas's fainting stunt was perfect! I wanted to applaud his clever way of distracting the police officer and saving the brothers. Also, again, the chapter title was golden. ;) Great job!

P.S. A part the stood out to me particularly strongly was when Phillip Turner's body seemed eerily similar to that of Cas's vessel. I'm not sure if that was foreshadowing or not, but it definitely added a cool creepy factor to the moment! :)
LilyBolt chapter 4 . 1/7/2015
First, before I forget, I gotta compliment you on your chapter titles. Each one so far has been great! They have all tied into the overarching plot developments of the chapter they relate to, but in a unique way. I think this is my favorite title so far, because it covers the idea that, with poor Ross dead, "the world may never know" the valuable info he could have shared with the Winchesters. So yeah, very nice work with the titles.

Another thing you're doing a fantastic job of in this story, which really shined in this chapter in particular, is your use of solid descriptions. The way you described Ross's corpse was gross, but not in an overly-and-unnecessarily-detailed sort of way. It was just detailed enough to give me a distinct picture in my head and to make me cringe right along with the Winchesters, but there was no over-kill to your description of the situation. That's a fine line to walk, and you walked it quite well. ;)

Finally, I'm loving all these plot twists! I was absolutely expecting Ross to be alive and well when they got there. But SURPRISE! No dice. lol And then when they found ectoplasm in his body, I was totally anticipating them finding EMF next. But surprise again! All in all this has left me extremely curious about this case, not to mention I'm still totally wondering how that demon from the diner is going to confound things... This whole story so far is just fabulous! I'm looking forward to reading more, and I seriously feel a bit addicted to it. lol

P.S. My favorite part was when Dean thought about how much he hated hanging as a way to die, because he knew from a ton of personal experience how miserable choking was. It made perfect sense that Dean, after so many times getting choked, (and more importantly, watching SAMMY get choked), would really empathize with victims of that method of dying.
LilyBolt chapter 3 . 1/6/2015
This just keeps getting better and better! I was definitely hooked from the moment I read the prologue, and then the first chapter with the boys was so natural for every character that I knew I was in for something good... But this? I was totally not expecting a surprise demonic possession of poor Valerie! I am super excited to find out how the "date" goes, and what the demon wants with Dean. I mean, I know demons tend to like messing with Dean a lot, but I have a feeling this one might have more specific motivations than just a desire for some fun at a Winchester's expense. Lol I'm really looking forward to more! :D

P.S. My favorite part of this chapter was when Dean introduced Cas by his nickname, and Cas gave him a look that forced Dean to quickly add the "tiel" onto the end. Imagining the look on Castiel's face totally made me giggle. Oh, and Sam's reaction to Valerie giving Dean her number was priceless. ;)
LilyBolt chapter 2 . 1/5/2015
And you flipped so smoothly from the 1600's style of writing, to a modern (and very Winchester) style that I have to applaud you. Really, the distinction was perfect. I meant it when I said it sounded modern /and/ Winchester. There's more to the way the boys speak, think, and behave than just typical 21st century attitude. There is a certain flair to both Winchesters, yet each has their own uniqueness, too. You definitely got Sam and Dean down pat both as a team, and individually. :) Oh, and speaking of teams... Don't think I didn't notice and appreciate how well you wrote the other two members of Team Free Will as well. You definitely nailed Bobby's and Castiel's mannerisms, both in speech and their actions. Excellent job! I seriously am excited to see how this hunt plays out, because with writing and characterization this strong, it feels exactly like I'm following an episode. ;)

P.S. My favorite part was when Dean teased Sam over Sam's bed head. It felt like perfect brotherly banter. :D (An honorable mention though goes to Cas's explanation to Sam about Dean's threats regarding future car sickness. That totally made me laugh, especially because you wrote it precisely in Castiel's voice.)
LilyBolt chapter 1 . 1/5/2015
This is FANTASTIC! :O Seriously, this was so incredibly well-written. You did a fabulous job of capturing the time period of this prologue through thoroughly describing the setting and weaving the dialogue with appropriate verbiage... I felt just like I was in the late 1600's. I am also so impressed by how well you twisted the happy beginning with the perfect family into a dark and emotional ending... I truly /felt/ for poor Alse and Alice. I want John Young to pay dearly just as much as Alse does. But of course, the best part of reading this was knowing that it's only the start of what is sure to be an amazing Supernatural story... I am so eager to find out what all comes of this! :D

P.S. My favorite thing about this chapter was truly the way all your effort shined through in the form of so many masterfully crafted sentences and moments. As far as writing mechanics in general are concerned, this is surely one of your best pieces. :)
The Third Biker Scholar chapter 10 . 12/31/2014
this was a perfect episode. I wish we'd seen something like this in the show. loved it!
