Why? Why? Why could this not been what happened next on Sherlock?! I still don't get the Sherlock / Tom similarly! Yeah, get the joke of all the looks when Tomolly (feels creepy just writing that) arrive. Sure they are both tall, curly hair (not even close in shade), similar shoes, long coat, but totally different voice, skin tone, facial features, etc... I know the whole point was Tom was suppose to be a poor copy (nothing against the man) of Sherlock! But then, maybe Tom had the things made Molly not worry about being upset all the time like a sweet temper, ordinary life/ family /friends, easy to manipulate, no drug addicted past, no crazy nemesis in the wings, etc... Fun story!
