| Lou chapter 1 . 11/6/2018 I enjoyed this story. My favorite part was the beginning. I thought the writing captured so much of Smaug's new realization and dire situation. All are subject to the reactions of actions. Anyone, including the immensely powerful can have home or kingdom lost. Anyone can be hurt, even badly. Anyone breathing can have life taken. Smaug's new awareness is very powerful and felt. His desperation is so realistically written. The author understands the shock of the unexpected, and the fear of posssible oblivion. Also the tentative, careful, potentially explosive relationship that evoles between Smaug and his new friend are very detailed. Great writing. Powerful dynamics. Good read for sure. |
