Yeah, I think that people shouldn't flame stuff. If you don't like the story, don't read it. Simple as that.

Yeah, that is the whole meaning of fandom. The true meaning of it is express yourself. Don't let others judge you. Be the real you. Use the mind and imagination. Let the words and story take you. A story is filled with encouragement and excitement for the readers to be interested in. "Dear Fanfiction Writers" is the oppsite of that. It courages writers to stop writing, stop shipping and, worse of all, stop being their fans. Slash, incest, femmslash, lemons, crossovers, ships, breakups, song fics, abuse fics, reunion fics, o.c.s, Mary Sues, backstory fics, hero-turns-to- the-dark-side fics, body swap fics, reading the books/watching the movie/watching the episodes/playing the games, inhuman/human ships, bringing the people from the dead fics, AU fics, our versions of the episodes/books/movie/game, song parodies, discovering fanfiction fics and OOC behavior are what we create. You can't take them and make people think that they are bad. Stop the"Dear Fanfiction" fics. Please. The children are crying because of them. Keep writing and keep being their fans.

Yeah, I agree. There's a lot of "Dear Fanfiction Writers" fanfics out there and it...breaks my heart after reading them. I mean, fanfiction is where we express ourselves in our own way. People there are complaining about slash, incest, AUs, cliches, pairings, death fics, OCs, OOC behavoir, gender bents, lemons, Mary Sues, abuse fics, crossovers, angst fics, etc. I mean, there's LOTS of them. Twilight, PJO,MR, HP, HG,OUAT, even an Austin & Ally one! No fair. I wanna be an author someday, but the characters are just mad at us for writing. You know , soon as I get an account, I'm gonna write a response to Airlene Archaway's SG fic "Dear Fanfiction Writers" . It will show them that WE , fanfiction writers, don't care what they say. It's OUR fanfic , not theirs. We can't always get the facts straight, you know. Next time, they write another letter, they'll remember this :

I'm with you Kida the Freak fanfiction writers shouldn't feel bad for what they write and others shouldn't criticize them for it people have their own opinions and everyone should respect that I even find things on Fan Fiction that I don't like but I wouldn't criticize them for it this story has a good message in it

Wow. What an awesome response to those types of stories. I admit, when I first read the title of this, I thought that maybe it would be like so many other "Dear Fanfiction Authors" type stories. However, I'm glad you put a new spin on it, and I agree wholeheartedly with your assessment of it. People should write what they want to, and I'm glad that you had Donnie encourage Leo to just write as he wants to. I think it's funny that Don has his own account, too. I wonder what Leo would say to that? Nicely done on this and thanks for writing it. Maybe others will read it and learn not to write stuff like that.
