Gah! When you warned that this is not a happy story, i assumed the commom sad tragedy story of ichiruki. I never ever as in it never crossed my mind that it is like this. Its.. Ugh. I don't know anymore. Its so sad and painful (for me) in its own way. To think ichi did that and he thought of rukia and rukia was.. Oh life whatever. But, anyway, you really did a great job! And again I am bombarded with the feels... Lol, I thought it was Rukia at first- I started doubting with the mention of her blue eyes- and then it was confirmed when she said her name wasn't Rukia. Simply Beautiful. I'm glad I did not play a background music while I read this (like I usually do while reading a piece), that would surely have a devastating effect if I did.

A sequel is absolutely a must for this one, or turn it into a chapter story. I could see a lot of potential for this piece to become a chapter fic, very interesting. A kind of story wherein 'whys and hows' loom over oneself during the read. Very interesting plot indeed.
