It's nice to see a fic with Roy being parental towards Al instead of Ed

I enjoyed this very much. No one strikes me as OOC. However the use of Japanese words was a bit distracting. Remember while Fullmetal Alchemist is a Japanese anime/manga, the story takes place in a European inspired country. They wouldn't be using Japanese honorifics

Since FMA isn't actually set in Japan I don't think you need to use Japanese honourfics. They're not overdone though, so it looks OK.

Hmm…well, for starters, he really wasn't that out of character, if at all. I think the main reason that the colonel showing any other emotion besides anger seems so absurd to most fans is simply because we never really see things strictly from his view while with Edward we get a glance at his inner thoughts now and then. And as for how it ended, that wasn't bad either. The perfect ending for such an adorable one-shot? No. But okay, especially considering all the hundreds of possible awkward or excessively mushy endings that there were! So to sum it up, yes, I enjoyed it.

That was really good. I teared up a little bit. And I don't think Roy was out of character. Saying that he was is like saying that Ed was too. Personally, I think that they were both perfectly in character. I really just loved that!
