Lots, and lots of errors in the first paragraph. Was very confusing and makes me question reading further. Also, Tauriel leaves Fili in the tent, with him fighting an infection and she's unsure if he's going to live - says that she can only hope that he'll pull through for Kili's sake, and only moments later, she's announcing to all the dwarves that Fili will be fine. That's a big gap.

good first chapter. I found a couple of nits tho. First, Kili did know her name - he called her Tauriel when his head was resting on the walnuts at Bard's house. Second, "he couldn't bear it" not bare - personal pet peeve when this gets mis-used. We bear a burden or a heavy load. We bare (as in uncover) our feelings.

Just stumbled across this fic today, and you have me hooked! I read through in one setting, and I loved it. I thoroughly enjoyed the adventures you created, and I'll be on the lookout for more!

I like the story, but... a couple of things about this chapter irked me. First, I just don't see Fili reacting this way. I can see him being upset, even hurt, but I just don't think the interaction is quite right. I definitely don't see him being accusing in that manner. Also, it took all 13 dwarves an entire summer to travel from the Shire to Erebor - and they were carried by Eagles for much of it - so, two weeks to get there and back is most definitely not right. Anyway, I'm liking the general idea and now moving on to read more.

I love this story, and I'm glad you're doing a sequel. I love these two, and I think you've done an excellent job. Looking forward to more.

Totally! I think alternating between POVs in the sequel would be great - but it's up to you, with whatever you're the most comfortable with at doing. Great first part fix! Can't wait for the sequel - unless it's already out.
