Guest chapter 42 . 3/29 I'm surprised I didn't find this story sooner! I just about love everything about it, all ways the characters are presented, all the subtle hints to their films and that the story is better than I could ever imagine. I know that both fandoms for this story are both dwindling but could you please finish the story? I'm too hooked for the ending to leave it now |
Anon chapter 42 . 3/28/2018 Hi! I love your work. I've been reading it since the moment you started posting their arrival to the Capitol, so it's been a while lol I know it's probably too late now, but I just wanted to let you know that I'm a fan even tho the story hasn't ended and I would love for it to continue Anyways, just thank you for your writing :) |
warrenha2 chapter 42 . 7/15/2017 Please continue? |
wolfwarrior1999 chapter 42 . 3/3/2016 Great so far, can't wait for more |
Littlefish662 chapter 42 . 2/15/2016 I'm really sad Flynn is dead... Him and Rapunzel were so adorable together! Maybe that hair of her's she tied around his wound earlier will bring him back to life? I sure do hope so. None the less this story is amazing and I'm looking forward for and update soon! |
Cotton Candy Mareep chapter 42 . 1/12/2016 Oh, that was an exciting chapter! But I'm glad they're all okay for now - though I hope Emma hasn't actually hurt her ankle too badly, as it twisted under her when she fell over. Those other Mutts were super weird, and kinda gave me the chills with their creepy laughing shrieks and moans, almost like big bloodthirsty hyenas or something? That could give anyone nightmares afterward. And wow, Hiccup has finally flown with Toothless! That's awesome, I've been waiting for this moment, ever since he first discovered the dragon in the arena. It's strange how Hiccup managed to befriend a Mutt when they're pretty much engineered by the Capitol to be killing machines; not sure whether they made Toothless somewhat friendlier than most on purpose, or if he was intelligent enough to overcome mere killing instincts, or if it was an effect that Hiccup himself has on animals (including Mutts), or some combination of those. OR, maybe it was always possible to tame a Mutt, but no other tribute has actually tried to before? I'm sure the last thing a tribute is thinking about when they're about to be mauled by a Mutt is whether or not the creature is friendly. Yeah, I'm probably overthinking this, haha, but it's such an interesting thought to me. And so now they're all headed for the island in the lake. I'm pretty curious about that. Either it's just a regular little rocky island where they'll be able to rest and recover, maybe get to know each other a little better? or it's larger than I thought and there's already someone or something there, whether good or bad. -CCM |
Watch3r chapter 42 . 1/11/2016 Good chapter, can't wait for the next one. |
Cotton Candy Mareep chapter 41 . 1/10/2016 Wow, I'm so glad and relieved to see that Hiccup and Rapunzel made it! And the four are finally all together, which is what I've really been anticipating the entire time (plus Astrid, Emma, and Toothless, of course). Last chapter, before this most recent update, I had been so scared that someone was going to be killed off before all four – Hiccup, Merida, Jack, and Rapunzel – got a chance to officially meet each other all at once. I can’t wait to find out what the theme of the arena is! I mean, it’s probably possible to guess, but I’m excited to see what it is for sure based on Hiccup’s own suspicions. And not to be morbid or anything, but I feel like Astrid will be the first to die out of this group, but only because she’s not one of the big four, mostly. Also, I just wanted to say that I really like the format of your chapters in this story, as well. The chapters are short, yes, but they're very well-written and so detailed that I don't feel like anything is left out, almost as though they feel longer while reading than they actually are, if that makes sense. And I like it a lot. So I’m sorry if I just about spammed you with reviews, but I’m very happy with this story like you wouldn't believe, and thankful that you’ve written it and shared it with us here! Great job on this wonderful fanfiction so far, it’s amazingly written and I hope you manage to continue on with it until the very end! I'd love to see what happens! -CCM |
Cotton Candy Mareep chapter 39 . 1/10/2016 This was another great chapter; Jack is so funny, even at the most inopportune times, and the realization that Duncan was the one who had saved them earlier was awesome, even if it was really sad. Because I honestly had no idea who the man with the bow had been, even if I should probably have been able to guess. And... I definitely don't blame Merida for getting a bit upset at that, even though she hadn't been particularly close to her district partner. But this was the reason why - it would have been even worse had they actually gotten around to talking to each other more. -CCM |
Cotton Candy Mareep chapter 38 . 1/10/2016 I think I actually cried a bit reading this scene, and even more at the one that came a few chapters before it; Flynn and Rapunzel were so cute. :( But at least she's with Hiccup and Astrid now. And now it's just a matter of time before their group meets up with Jack, Emma, and Merida... -CCM |
Cotton Candy Mareep chapter 34 . 1/10/2016 Yes, I'm so proud of Toothless, haha! And I'm very glad that Hiccup didn't kill him in the first place, even though I knew he wouldn't. It's awesome how you've included Toothless in this story as one of the mutts in the arena, and even more awesome that you still have Hiccup actually taming him. Like, imagine what the people at home watching this Hunger Games must be thinking; he's going to try training a freakin' dragon mutt! A dragon mutt! It's absolutely crazy, and yet it seems to be working, and I'm sure it's definitely not something they've ever seen before. It certainly helps Hiccup shed that whole weak, awkward, clumsy image, no doubt. -CCM |
Cotton Candy Mareep chapter 26 . 1/10/2016 I loved the conversation between Merida and Jack in the moonlight here, it was perfect - how they're starting to trust each other as allies, and the bit about Merida's crazy witch grandmother and her bear token was a nice touch, too. I could imagine this whole scene playing out in my head so easily. -CCM |
Cotton Candy Mareep chapter 22 . 1/10/2016 This was another favorite chapter of mine (yes, I seem to have a lot of those, don't I?). But that conversation between Ana and Jack was just too adorable for me to handle; or it would have been, had it not also been so damn sad. It was so nice seeing Jack realize that Ana wasn't just a Capitol freak and that she actually didn't want anything to do with the Hunger Games, probably didn't even approve of them at all. But depressing knowing that they'll most likely never see each other again after that one conversation, as Jack will probably be killed in the arena and Ana will continue doing what she secretly hates having to do as a stylist for the games. Ugh, that's horrible just to type out. -CCM |
Cotton Candy Mareep chapter 18 . 1/10/2016 Another favorite chapter of mine right here; I absolutely loved Hiccup's interview! That "hiccup" bit truly had me laughing, and while the interview went a little awkward at times, I personally found it rather endearing. Though that's not necessarily what they're aiming for in the Hunger Games, haha. -CCM |
Cotton Candy Mareep chapter 17 . 1/10/2016 Wow, it took me a moment while reading this chapter to realize that "Ana" here is short for Toothiana, haha. And yay, Jack and Rapunzel finally meet! I always get a bit excited when I members of the "big four" meet for the first time in this story. Plus, Emma sounded so adorable in her little winter fairy style dress. -CCM |
