wow! great chapter, really feels like V's investigation is picking up momentum. Her emotions and the memories of the motel help to build up her history with Sam. I wish she'd open up to Logan about what she's working on. Matthew is still a bit of an enigmacurious about his background and what he can bring to the case other than his personal stake in it. Seems Logan will wear Gai down eventually- I'm looking forward to watching that build up! The young love moments are really well written. I love it all and look forward to more!

I swear I was thinking about this story so happy to have another chapter. Hope Gia gives Logan a break soon.

It's still so difficult for me to feel Veronica's love for Sam. He's not Logan so it's hard for me to picture V in that loving happy relationship with someone else. The dream at the beginning of this chapter... idk, it feels like it should be Logan, not Sam. I'm struggling with that. For some reason it was easier to believe Logan and Evamaybe because she was alive. But Sam... that's a tough one. I'm ready for LoVe. I'm ready for Gai/Logan and family time for the 3 of them. I'm ready for V to solve this case and begin putting the past behind her.

I FINALLY managed to catch up with this story, and... I’d forgotten you wrote it in the present tense! So it’s been a while. I was hoping maybe Gai had found a way to finally accept Logan, but not so much.

That 12yo kiss was sweet, but all I could think was, “Like father, like son.” LOL!

But I do love your metaphors. “The organizational hamster in her brain runs the wheel.” Yep, it was a great word-picture.

Now I look forward to the rest.

I hope Logan will follow Dick's advice and really step up, somehow. lol! so, I'm wondering, and it could be that I'm just not remembering if it was covered or not, but does Gai understand why Logan left? He has so much resentment towards him. Does he think Logan abandoned him? Does he know about the threats? I just wonder if he wouldn't have an easier time accepting Logan if he understood why Logan had to leave back then. That Logan didn't even know he was leaving Gai. If Gai could just realize he has an opportunity here, to have had 2 awesome dads that love him, Sam and now Logan in the wake of Sam's death. He'd have someone to lean on that wasn't also lost in their grief. I look forward to that relationship building, I hope Gai gives him a chance soon.

Weird, I had a dream about your shaggy, chip-toothed Logan from this fic just last night, and now today there's a new chapter! I'm so glad to see an update!

I'm backing up several chapters to get into the spirit of the story again before reading the latest chapter. Sam's brother... intriguing I wonder where he'll come into play in the future. The legos were a trip, such a classic parent complaint. I'm glad she's letting Gai know she expects him to show Logan a bit of respect as an adult in his life. The Gai Logan scene was bittersweet. I'm wondering how long it will take Gai to warm up to Logan. Great chapter!

Oh my god! I woke up this morning (Paris time) to see the notification for a new chapter, I was confused because I did not remember reading a story named Haunted these days... Then it clicked and I couldn't wait to read the new chapter! I love this story so much for its darkness and complexity and the way L and V are so in character. I adore Gai in all his teenageness (not a word I assume). The new chapter a very focused on V and her investigation, I hope for her sake that she finally gets the truth before she looses too much (her job, her son...). Looking forward to reading more
