I love how 9 (?) year old Derek literally just burst into Sam's life like "Yo wifey, make me a cake." And I also love how flamboyant he is, he is literally one of my favorite OCs of yours.

This was sooooo cool! I loved seeing Sam before the whole Chasing Fireflies, and this gave me real insight into all their relationships. I hate Leroy with a passion, but loved this story, and Derek being protective and pulling that on that fucking rapist-hot damn I love that Demeter boy. This story was awesome! Brilliant job!

Okay so maybe this chapter helped me find a little love for Derek but only cuz he and Trend had a great dynamic to them and I can finally see what you were getting at.

That was the cutest thing ever! I loved every single moment in this last chapter, and I'm so grateful you decided to make this sort of prequel thing.
Best part of this is, that you uploaded the very last chapter of the Sam-centered story I've wished for since the day I first learned of Trend/Sam on my birthday! So I'm basically considering this a birthday present, therefore thank you so much! :D
