Hello, hello! Just came across this story today and I think it's pretty good. You have given us the setting and background for the story nicely. From you author's note at the beginning of the chapter, it sounds like you aren't going to finish this story. That's a shame because I really like it. I want to find out the secret of the Shadow's existence. Hopefully you will decide to write more soon!: )

Interesting, I had my own suspicions about the side effects of massive use of an entirely new kind of magic, but I hadn't thought of this for some reason. Lina and Xelloss get nicely treated and the whole thing was quite well written. Now, with any luck, we'll see an update on your other Slayers fic soon too, ne? Both of them are very good.

Oh, my! What a riveting little story you have going on here! Both Lina and Xellos seem very in-character, and I like the fact that they're working together once again, even though she doesn't trust him, and rightfully so! I can even see Martina acting the way you've written her, especially after seeing the end of Next. Poor Martina, poor Zangulus! I very much look forward to your next installment.
