This story was a delight. In most stories Karin is all brash and loud and kicking-ass without taking names which fits with a lot of generally one dimensional anime characters. Don't get me wrong, I love that kind of thing. I wouldn't watch so much anime if I didn't. But the way you portrayed Karin in this fic was much more realistic. Having been a teenage girl once, I know first hand how awkward and tortuously aware of all your faults (real or imagined) it is to be talking to your crush. Even though your Karin is uncomfortable she still maintains some of what we saw of her when she was a kid when she is teasing him. You are able to maintain balance between both sides. I think you did a masterful job of crafting this story and I would love to read what you had written from toushiro's perspective.

Aahhhh! All this cuteness is killing me seriously, every weeks needs to be HitsuKarin week. I've read so much cute that it actually hurts my soul a little bit.

First, let me say that I love the idea of Karin with glasses. After seeing Toushirou with glasses in the post cards that were published, I knew i had a fetish. Lol I love how she's grown up here to be honest. She's more careful and self-conscious and I think that every person has to go through that stage. I mean, she's still a girl, no matter how boyish she is. And she's with the boy she likes. Of course she's weird and awkward. That's normal.

I love how Toushirou is still shorter than her. Like, he grows but not enough. It's okay, you tried. Haha. :) but he's very much the same and I like that. Because I feel like he's very set in his ways even though he's considered a young shinigami. And him in the kids' section? Cute

As for my favorite part, definitely that kiss. I wanted them to decorate the tree together (I was soooo hoping they'd have an ornament fight, lol) but then he says goodbye but he doesn't really. Ugh, he's a romantic, that boy. I want ten thousand. XDDDD

It was wonderful as per usual I'm so glad you finished it because I knew I read the beginning and I was so confused as to why I recognized the story. Lol! I hope to see more fluffiness soon :DDD

It was a little weird seeing Karin act this way but I get your point on Karin being an awkward teenager. This fic has a really calm feel to it and I really enjoyed seeing Karin in another light but poor Toshiro. I couldn't help but laugh at the part where Toshiro came to the library to research about Christmas and also that part where he sat in the children's corner without knowing! Hahaha! :)) And that instant when Karin told him about it was hilarious too! The kiss at the end was awkward but I absolutely love that part where he said her name! :D Anyway, thanks for the sweet oneshot! And happy holidays too! Merry Christmas!

This was certainly really fluffy even amongst all the angst. This Karin, I think, a lot of us can relate to. That strange way we act around the people we like, how distant we can get to our friends if we discover we feel a bit more strongly about them than we thought. Or when we see someone new we really, really like and just lock up. But I'm getting off topic xD

I really loved the beginning. Setting the setting (hehe). The library in winter, reading a book with a cup of hot chocolate just sounds heavenly. I know that's not how it went but it came to mind xD Karin's description of herself hits the nail on our teenage insecurities and when she saw Toushirou and was mortified by the way she looked reminds me of the time I saw a girl I like in the supermarket and I literally ran into the next aisle just so she wouldn't see me unshaved and not wearing better clothes. I should have thought her reaction would be no different to any other person that saw me that day but nooooo.

I actually understand why she didn't accept his help but at the same time I can't explain it xD He must have been so mortified when she told him he was sitting in the kid's area. I wonder if it would make a cute picture.. That small cameo of Matsumoto is so typical that I love it. I'm pretty sure she's gonna go and gossip about how her cute little taichou got so interested in Christmas. And probably try to make him do all sorts of things in the name of the 'Christmas spirit'. Sometimes it only takes a few words to lighten the mood. To try and act like before. An icebreaker, if you will. Get it, an icebreaker? Because Toushirou.. Bad joke xD I would have liked to read about Karin's reaction to his Shinigami form since he said he was a little different.

I can just imagine how giddy she felt when she called him by her first name. Must have been a nice feeling. Just like Toushirou at the end to be awkward about her dislike of touch. It gives you an idea of his feelings over the fic. How he observed her. It was nice to see her boldness return. Ah, hormones took over for a bit. Maybe our small Captain finally entered puberty xD Maybe Isshin was there already hiding in the bushes.. Wouldn't surprise me lol I honestly think Karin would be a mix of her an Ichigo at that age. Yuzu might be shy and girly enough for both of them. Or is she? You know, I've never though of Yuzu as shy. Huh.

Btw, I think you have a typo in your last sentence. I'm unsure because either 'was' or 'were' sound off.
