Reviews for Choirboy Caffrey
Massive HTTYD Fan chapter 1 . 1/1
The 'Hell, your name isn't on the rental agreement' line has got to be one of my favourites in this whole series. It's literally Peter and Neal in one bit of dialogue.
Smolicious chapter 9 . 10/17/2017
Ah! I Loved it! Your writing is amazing! I actually just saw my church choir sing about two days ago and they were fantastic. Can’t wait to read the other books! And Henry; Yess, Henry’s awesome!
JimChou chapter 9 . 5/28/2017
Excellent sequel to the Caffrey Conversation! Some very emotional moments, the trust building between Peter and Neal and so many other tidbits that make this universe heart-warming.
PastOneonta chapter 9 . 11/9/2016
June is awesome. I worry about the loss of Byron. And I am not sure how I feel about Peter using cell phone tracing on Neal. I see the rationale, but it feels sticky and like a partial commitment to a new hire. You write it well and this Peter is very good. He's thoughtful in a preparing for consequences way and he is working towards a full trust of Neal. Looking forward to the rest!
PastOneonta chapter 8 . 11/9/2016
What a lovely way to bring June and the mansion into the story. With Byron so that Neal can meet him and appreciate him. Though Bryon is dying. Oh dear, that will be difficult. Neal is going to research his relatives? Is that wise? And what about his flashbacks? He should get care for this issue.
PastOneonta chapter 7 . 11/9/2016
This is good development for Peter, even if it feels like Neal is paying the price. Yes, as a reader, I can be too protective of Neal. This is young Neal, with pain and abuse in his past that is coming back to him at a transition point in his life. He does trust Peter I believe, or he would be less open. Thanks for the author's notes, very interesting as well.
PastOneonta chapter 6 . 11/9/2016
Peter would be very black and white in his thinking. I think Neal will influence his world view and we will see a more flexible agent. Is Neal worried about Kate? He suddenly has doubts, but we know how much he loves her. Lovely conclusion to their first case, they will probably meet enough true criminals later on that a worried wife is a good way to start. "The unbearable sweetness", very nice writing.
PastOneonta chapter 5 . 11/9/2016
I am in tears over the reunion of Neal and Ellen. Very grateful they had these few moments. Neal relieved Ellen of some of her guilt and responsibility for his running. And assured her he was well and enjoying life. I wonder about his relationship with his mother. It doesn't seem that close. Very sad.

This case is fascinating, a music star and a chance to reinforce Peter and the FBI can benefit from Neal's employment. All on Neal's terms pretty much at this point. Excellent way to start a new job and balance the power and influence of Peter / stepdad.

Yes, I definitely love your stories...
thanks!
MM chapter 7 . 11/8/2015
I like your series. This chapter is really great. I like how you write Jones, his way of noticing what is wrong and dealing with it matter-of-factly. I also think given Neal's past experiences it makes sense of him to believe Peter capable of such a brutal lesson.
marJan 53 chapter 7 . 1/22/2015
I like your take on the Neal Peterdynamic
marJan 53 chapter 6 . 1/21/2015
I really love the way you intergrate dialogue and plot lines from different episodes and seasons into one story this is my favorite version of Neal young and vulnerable but resilient Elen taping Neal to take home with her as a reminder was touching
peppe1951 chapter 9 . 1/12/2015
Another great story. I was wondering how you were oing to work in Nea's meeting of June and you did an excellent job. Now on to the next one in the series.
jessytemple chapter 9 . 11/11/2014
You have nice plans for the other fics, going to check them out. At least Peter redeemed himself apologizing to Neal in front of the team. Was kind of expecting Neal to spend Xmas with Peter though, that would've been fun. Eager to see him meet El! And Satchmo.. ;)
jessytemple chapter 7 . 11/11/2014
Oh you almost gave me a heart attack too with this Peter's game. Poor Neal, but I guess it was for the best in the long run..
