Did I ever said how much I completely LOVE this history? Because really, there is no words to describe how much I love it! Everything fit from the beggining to the end. I wish there were more Max/Liesel histories like this.

This is imperfect beauty. This is how people work, and I feel like you captured Zusak so well in this simple piece of fic. Liesel is kind of a rule breaker, but she's sensitive on the inside, too, while Max wants to love Liesel, but he's so broken from Dachau and the war. Both of them are, and there's that line that Erik says - "You . . . forget about the horrors you've been through . . ." and both of them are trying to do that. In a way. And Liesel has almost forgiven the past, but Max is still haunted by it.

And I love these two together, so. Y'know. There's that. Enough of my psychoanalysis.

This story, I can't even begin to describe it. It is just so beautifully written, I don't know what to even write here, everything seems too small for such a masterful piece. You managed to catch their personalities just perfectly and every move they made is something I can clearly see in my mind.
Thank you so much for writing this, it is just... amazing seems too small of a word for it but it's the best I can think of.
