Sounds cool although I strongly dislike(Read:Hate) the idea of seperating Kirito and Asuna for any reason for any amount of time...they've already gone through so much.

Wow, that was really good. I am disappointed that it's only a one-shot, because the whole Pandora sequence raises a whole lot of questions that won't be answered now. I was reading through your profile, and I noticed that it doesn't seem like you've read the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher, a series of Urban Fantasy novels. They really are good books, and I think you'd enjoy them.

Loved it! What an intriguing concept. For the record, you carry it off beautifully (which is no mean feat at all!) I love that you have Asuna as the lead, who is as strong and thoughtful as early canon presented her. If you ever continue this, I'll be over the moon but I'm super happy that I got to read this much. You made my morning.

I'm actually really disappointed you ended this without more than a passing mention of Kirito and no definite indication to their relationship going forward. In fact, you made it seem like they weren't going to end up together for a very long time which is even more disappointing.

Honestly as excellent as this is, using Gemini as the base for the opponent and then having it be Asuna alone who defeats it instead of Asuna and Kirito simultaneously seems like a wasted opportunity. A Campione title shared between two people would have made a cool element, especially given the mirroring of the Gods defeated in this prologue. Also Asuna and Kirito together allows for MOAR Yui!

Though reading Triggerhappy/zero0hero's story Halkegenia Online (a brilliant and very extensive SAO/Familiar of Zero crossover) may have left me with a bias towards Asuna and Kirito kicking simultaneous ass with Yui becoming a real girl.

Anyway, I look forward to more of this. I need to hurry up and finish reading the light novels since I'm assuming by the mention of Athena being a Divine Ancestor that Vol.9 onwards involves some interesting stuff. ;)

Such interesting idea. Too bad you don't at least plan to make it into a short story. There are just so many things that can be worked with, like for example her relationship with Kazuto now that she can literally become "Asuna the Flash" as oppose to just a title in game. Oh well, at the very least we know her love life will be very strained for quite a while.

Really, it's too bad you don't intend to continue this, but sometimes the best stuff is left unfinished i guess?
