Whoo, I am SO relieved she finally told someone. The past 40 chapters or so I’ve been ready to freak since I was sure she had a terminal illness and was obviously bottling up her feelings on it. These past 10 chapters or so were frustrating to the point that I felt literal pressure on my chest but it’s finally released now that she’s talked with Calem. Not that it means that she’s fine and dandy since there’s the guilt compensation she’s been pulling of doing what Alex likes and wants before focusing on herself out of guilt for not telling him, but I’ve got hopes that by the time I reach the most recent chapter of this that the mortal peril dilemma of explaining to Alex will be over with. As for the Pokémon, I love seeing interactions with them and I’ll admit I missed Kirlia when he hadn’t been mentioned for a few chapters after the mind reading exercises. Also kind of curious how the dawn stone is going to be found since it’s back on route 3 but I’ll be looking forward to it since I love gallade. All in all, lots of development that I really like and lots of things to look forward to, can’t wait to finish this fic.

Nice chapter, thanks for the update. As for my favorite Kalos Elite Four it's Malva, mostly because she's a strong independent woman or in layman's terms a badass.

Chapter 52 - The Build Up

A dream about talking about dreams in a game... or is that "is a game"?
I like the concentric nature of that concept.
It's nice to see the siblings comparing notes after having odd dreams, with as close to each other as they seem to be, it feels fitting.

Ahh.. I recall wondering that myself, could I shorten my trip? Was it worth it, to go the long way?

It's nice to know that Sienna has her head wrapped around the Fairy typing, I'm 3 islands into Moon and still can't remember all the type-to-type relationships. (Is it allowable to use the "I started in the 1990's and they keep changing them" excuse?)
Alex's complaints aren't entirely understandable, something the size of Xerneas should definitely be able to handle a Dratini and a lot of the Fairy-types are dual-typed with something else anyway... Of course, if we're going with just the pure typing (I'm sure he'd argue that way sooner or later), then it's worth noting that fairies (better known as the fae) are well known in real-world mythology as violent, viscious, vengeful, tricksters who possess potent magic, long lifespans, quick minds, spry bodies and are renowned cunning. (But look at me arguing with a chunk o' entertainment...)

It's nice to know that Sienna isn't completely confident, that she's still got enough of an edge to her mind, to be wary and consider possibilities that aren't necessarily in front of her. Imagination can be key. Poor Robbie.

Recalling my past reviews, I note that I hadn't considered the physical toll, of Victory Road in Kalos. I can only say that I'm grateful to you for including it, and impressed with you for thinking to do so.

A splash of humour to keep the mood fluid, nicely followed by a bit of Genre Savvy and then a little throwback to an earlier chapter (no mud this time, but Sienna did manage to do better!).

Ahh... tempting fate, a lovely luxury, I have a feeling that the siblings weren't too upset at it having been said.

I like the bump of emotions brought in by the opening lines of this (mini-) scene, it's nice to have the vast gravity of their journey laid out in a crisp line.
It's also nice to see all of the character development from the tail end, reading that and thinking back over what they used to be like. (Well, I say "all of" but I doubt my memory is that good!)

It seems Serena and Calem have both adapted quite well to the new battling method, I get the feeling that what holds them back more than anything - now - is their levels.
It also occurs to me to question, whether Calem is a better battler due to his Rival being a more adept & cunning trainer in general.

I'm wondering if the gift-giving will continue until the end, stop short, or go further.
So! The Awakening's impact has reached as far as The Elite Four! It's interesting to see things from two perspectives (that of the characters, and that of a reader).

I'm just barely the tiniest bit disappointed that you didn't give a long, flowing and elegant portrayal of the castle... but doing so (probably) doesn't really suit the story as it is.

Extrapolating a little, it seems if you become Champion, you get the title for at least a day. I wonder what responsibilities you might end up with? What expectations might fall upon you?

Lastly, I could only really speculate as to which of the two will win their priority match... and even then, it's not entirely a given that they'll keep the spoils of victory if they claim it. Both Sienna and Alex have changed quite a lot over the course of... I guess it has been a month or so, for them.

Hmmm... I am just a bit curious whether their watches have other 3DS functions, like the notepad. I hope I got (get) this review in, on time, before the next chapter.

Not a review, just some thoughts.

I believe we've "met" Agnes before, although I can't be certain... This chapter makes me think that there's something deeper... actually, not "deeper", a better way to put it might be "more focused" that is going on behind the scenes, as a reason for ... enabling worlds.

It's nice that Sienna could help those two.

Wow just as I was reading, then I thought about the Elite Four, and you addressed that situation almost immediately afterward. Is there gonna be a sad plot twist? Like only one can return to the real world? The ultimate champion or something? That would really suck :'(
