Eugene being in a stir over the regalia doesn't ring true. He stole because he wanted a luxurious retirement home. He not only has that now, but he threw that goal away because Rapunzel's validation/love sated him in place of sparklers before he gained such a nice retirement home by marrying her, so there shouldn't be any inclination to steal. It would also butt heads with the fact that he did regret being a thief, according the shame he reveals in the campfire scene. To have him entertain thoughts that he seems about ready to succumb to with glee would mean this turn-around really wasn't a turn-around.

He would certainly enjoy being trussed up in royal clothes, though. While he may not have a reason to steal, he still loves finery, and would love being draped in such. I could see him hopping rooftops when he's feeling pent up, but him breaking into the bakery for fun and whatnot is a bit of an odd habit for a twenty-nine year old. Eugene isn't really much of a Jack Frost type - he's pretty laidback and down-to-earth, and not really fun-driven like Rapunzel is.

With that being said, you 100% nailed the rest of his arc down by subtly weaving it into his empathy for Elsa and Anna. This is one of the better Tangled/Frozen fanfictions out here, if not the best. Usually Eugene is written 100% off-base because people understand that he's comic relief but don't understand his *character,* or the Frozen characters are written...incorrectly. The style here is very subtle, very Eugene, and you get everyone down. Great job!

Very cute. Loved the parallel storytelling, loved the strength of the characters' voices. I'd been wondering what Rapunzel and Eugene were up to while the whole fjord found itself encased in ice with no way for the boats to escape, and this is great because now I know. Soup kitchens! Who knew, right? :)
