This entry definitely makes one reconsider their views on Goblins and Wargs. Nicely written, warm and fuzzy.

I do like Petunia's attitude concerning Rangers! She is one determined and courageous Hobbit.

I think this is the first time I read there's a Hobbit who feels sorry for the wolves of the Fell Winter. It's quite nice to witness Petunia's empathy. And that last line was simply grand.

Quite a lovely introduction. I do like Boso Grubb - he's all so very hobbity, as are all the others. The language you use is very Shire-like.

excuse me while i bow down in humble supplication to your utter brilliance. WOW. wow, wow, WOW. not too eloquent, i admit, but damn, how can anyone expect me to think straight after all that? it was fabulous. wonderful. fantastic. amazing. at times heartwrenching, at other times uplifting. dramatic, distressing, jaw dropping, tear jerking, the list goes on. just... WOW.

i'll admit, i was extremely nervous when i got the author alert for this. i had a feeling rogue wouldn't die - mainly cuz she had just gotten control, so why would she if she was just going to die? although that would've been bitterly ironic, kinda keeping with the mood of this fic, so then it really worried me even MORE... but i kept hoping. i wasn't sure how she'd survive, but she DID, so HUZZAH.

nice, with dom saving her. i felt kinda bad for him, but not bad enough. the fact that she didn't trust him was satisfying - good, she learned her lesson. i loved her waiting in remy's spot for him, that was just beautiful. damn, what the hell took him so long? well, that's just me assuming it really was him at the door. you won't be able to convince me otherwise, cuz if it's anybody else - mystique, dom, a maid, whatever, i'll just burst into tears. i've got this lovely mental image of him being so relieved to see her alive when she opens the door that he'll swoop in and kiss her, regardless of her powers. yup, i can dream. well, maybe that'll happen in the sequel? which i CANNOT wait for, by the way. if you hadn't promised one then i'd probably be more upset about the ambiguity than i am. i'll keep my fingers crossed that it'll be posted as quick as you got this last installment up. that'll be SO much fun - there are still questions to be answered! did logan tell remy? why'd he take so long to get there, if it was indeed him at the door? what exactly did mystique see that was bad enough to prompt her to shoot rogue? and so on, and so forth. mainly, i'm dying for more of your MINDBLOWING portrayal of rogue and remy's relationship. i don't know how you did it, but every time they even THOUGHT about each other, not to mention every time they were in the same room, i was at the edge of my seat. i mean, the emotions, the passion, it was all so VIVID! i'm severly jealous of your writing, just so you know. ;-)

the point is, this was simply ASTOUNDING. one of the best fics i've ever read, and believe me, i've read too many to even count. every word was carefully crafted and they fit absoulutely perfectly together, and i will be extremely twitchy until you post the sequel. so bring it on, quick like a bunny on crack!

I'm hoping this isn't the end of these guys; love their relationship.
