I'm never really sure what to say in these things, but I feel that writing a review is the least I could do after all of the effort you've put into this story.

The way you've written the characters is, as another reviewer has said, delightful. Your renditions of each of them is just incredible; the cartoons with a twist. I was heavily invested in them from the get-go.

I'm a fan of sci-fi, but I have to say that I am slightly saddened here. I was worried starting this story since it was clearly unfinished, but I just couldn't resist the urge to read some well-written Finn/Marceline fluff. I didn't really want anything else. Unfortunately, despite myself, I have become super invested in your plot. The way you have written everything is incredibly unique and interesting, and I can't help but want more. It's simply too endearing.

The story stopped feeling like Adventure Time around chapter 10, but there is nothing wrong with that in the slightest. How you wrote the characters and their interactions was really fun, to the point that I stopped caring about the differences and instead enjoyed the remaining similarities, something that few authors have managed to do.

As for specific plot, the introductory adventure was a really nice way to lead to the romance, in a believable way that didn't have too many sci-fi aspects. The attack/aftermath was a good way to introduce a long-term conflict/sci-fi storyline, and the way you built up from there was really well-done.

As I already stated, I never know what to write in reviews. I'm just a stranger who stumbled upon your work online, wanting to show appreciation for the clear amount of effort you've put into this work.

If you do happen to read this, then all I'd like to say is thank you. This has been a pleasure to read, and I truly hope you find the time and motivation to continue it. I know that I'd love to see where you could take it.

Now been two years, and miss this story I still do.

Been a year, hope this story is still being planned to continue. Was great and it would be a shame if all this new lore and plot developments went to waste, plus the way you're writing Finn and Marcy is delightful.

Yay another chapter! And damn, lot of stuff being uncovered this time.

It's really interesting seeing your version of Martin and comparing how he is in the series, he seems to have the same MO as the villains from Fallout 3. Gotta clear the wasteland for humans again. I wonder where he and his people are right now, assuming space or something. Matches up with the show pretty well because in his first episode he was talking about starskippers and stuff.
And I laughed a lot when he was described as "dashing," that isn't really what I would call Martin Mertens. Even in his younger days he wasn't really tall, dark, or handsome, just scruffy, slimy, and just a bit charming.

That Augment bit was crazy! So like Finn is the base model for all Martin's cyborg people? Or something? Man this is like another version of the Fern situation, no matter what Finn's taking down some version of himself no matter the story. I wonder what's gonna come of this revelation.

Still cool work as usual, what I wouldn't do for longer chapters of this stuff.

I haven't reviewed in a while and that's because I had no idea you were updating, was very nice catching this new chapter and getting caught up. I've been very much enjoying the tender Finnceline moments, Marceline coming into Finn's room and their convo about no hero biz. All really sweet, I like that their relationship has progressed this much even if it took a while to get to that point.

Onto this chapter, that was a neat kind of bait and switch with the missiles and how it seemed like they were gonna change everything but PB had it on lock. I wonder if the new power she has in those guardians is going to amount to anything destructive, because PB in this story seems a bit shady so far.

I really like the introduction of an actual villain again, we haven't really had one of those since Thoros in this fic. Augment seems neat, a really crazy and tortured cyborg thing fulfilling Martin's last commands and seeing if Finn is everything he was said to be? Cool. It's cool seeing there be a sign of life leftover from the old world since we've just been seeing AI and robots so far.

In all honesty I have no idea where this story is going but I'm hanging on to find out as long as you keep writing it. Coming up on 4 years, holy shit man.

Im a sucker for FinnCeline fics and i just got back from years of slumping on Adventure Time material until recently. Im gushing so hard right now wtf

From experience, I can tell you that you NEVER want to put your cheek on the gun if your shooting. Also keep your eye far from and off of the scope when you shoot, one time I didn't and my dad's muzzleloader's scope cut my right eyebrow.
