I forgot this fanfic existed but I'm so glad that I still had my notifications turned on for it. Imagine my surprise seeing this updated after so long! I hope you do keep writing this, looking forward to your next update :) now I need to actually read these last few chapters and catch up on what I missed lol

Bravo! I’m so happy to see you’re writing new material for this, and despite the gap after chapter 13, you still seem wonderfully in touch with the story, it’s hard to tell so much time has passed, and your writing style was already lovely.

I like the touch with Jim’s note, leaving a love heart ‘like a teenage girl’, you’ve made him wonderfully suave at times but left just enough tongue in cheek kookiness to keep him in character.

I’m glad you’ve included his perspective in this one too, instead of making it all from Elizabeth’s, and the smug show he put on was great!

It’s also nice to see that despite taking the leap with him, she’s retaining a moral standpoint (it’s so boring when the love interest just point blank turns to the dark side and it lacks vital balance/contrast) and cares about the fate of her lookalike, and want’s to be reassured that Jim wasn’t responsible for it. Keeps it interesting for sure!

It’s bizarre that she’s appealing to Jim about where her funding came from – I can’t believe that he is above having drug dealing in his network, and I hope that the line about it killing her wasn’t foreshadowing!

I'm totally hooked to this novel SO MUCH to the point I was so devastated when I saw you last updated this last year. This novel has everything I could ask for. I'm just so amazed on how realistic you portray Moriarty and the OC could be. I'm really looking forward for your next update but pls take your time if you need to sort you life first. This is the first time i really reviewed anything but I really think you deserve this. GOD HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO FIND OTHER MORIARTY FANFIC WITH THIS AS A BASIS UGH. Bravo! Excellent chapter, although their dynamic definitely has a tragic feel to it. Is there a way this could end happily whilst remaining convincing? I really do hope so, as sentimental as that sounds! I'm sorry to hear that you might not update soon, but I'll be all over it when you do! I do rather miss reading a little more from Moriarty's perspective, they were very enjoyable passages (especially the saucy bits admittedly) and certainly paint Elle in a flattering light, it's odd to read how enigmatic she seems from his POV, when we get an onslaught of her emotional inner workings from hers!

Thank you for updating, I really do think this story deserves more attention, and your writing style is very elegant, I'm impressed that you were 18 when you started this. Hope to see more in the future, and I'm very happy that you do plan to finish it. Lovely work xo

I don't even think I did it enough justice in my previous review, this story has absolutely RUINED me for other Moriarty stories! I've not read many of them, I was pretty much struggling to find any decent Mycroft stories and stumbled across this by accident (Moriarty was next on my list), and now I've finished (read the lot in one quick drop) I'm absolutely lost for what to read next! Usually when I enjoy an author's work this much, I'll go snoop through their favourites since I estimate that it makes for a good recommendation - only to find that you have none, so now I'm properly at a loss, haha.
I really hope you do come back to finish this - it somehow would have been easier to swallow if you'd left it after chapter 12! And if you don't plan to - I'd be really interested to hear what you might have had outlined for it, if that's not asking for too much!

I am devastated that it's been so long that an update is unlikely! This is the best story with an OC I've read for this fandom, probably the best OFC, and by far the most compelling and convincing Moriarty!
"You'll learn to like monogamy, or you'll learn to like celibacy." Is it terribly unhealthy that possessive/aggressive Moriarty just made me absolutely MELT?!

I just found your story and am already so sad that you didn't continue to write it. It's so well and cleverly written and I really enjoy your depiction of Jim. I just love his character and find that you created a wonderful counter part for him- an true equal. The development of their relationship was so intriguing and I couldn't stop reading it. I'm not much of a fan of ships with already existing characters- I'm always super happy when I manage to find a fic with an awesome, original and well written character. Yours is such a cool story and I hope that you find back to writing it some day :)
