Reviews for Operation Slytherin
zemblenity chapter 16 . 4/22
Congrats I hate this Hermione! It’s impressive how stubborn and bitchy she is with all this evidence piled in front of her.

I think I left a guest review on here somewhere a long time ago but I just wanted to say that this story is the one I am most likely to reread of the next generation. In general I love the golden trio and many of the next generation characters you made me wanna hate and that sucks, but at the same time this story just perfectly grasps to me what I think would happen to the slytherin house post cannon as sad as it is. So I wanted to thank you for the beauty that is this story right before I reread for the tenth time in roughly six years. So, thank you.

Hi! I'm just late night straggler to this story, you could say. This was an intriguing and interesting fanfiction to read! I practically finished it in like, a day.

As I was reading, I caught quite a few grammar mistakes, such as the common their/they're/there mix up and numerous lacking paragraph breaks. The chapters were well thought out and it captivated the reader (well, it captivated me) but I feel like you skipped over some parts that needed dire attention. This was most prominent in chapter twenty-two, the crux of the story. You've spent a lot of time building up to this scene obviously, but when we actually got to it, it was resolved so easily. I felt like the characters should've struggled for what they wanted so that after they've achieved it, the victory was that much sweeter.

Also, I found that Aladdin's thoughts (or any character's thoughts) weren't that much elaborated on. Rather, they were just stated. It had nothing of the describing it in vivid detail and that made it a bit harder on the reader to relate to the characters. This also made the development of character and relationship building lacking, as with Romana and James. It just seemed to me that they popped out of nowhere. Hermione's judgements, to me, just seemed unreasonable to me as I didn't know her side of the story. The same happened with me and Ron.

I know that it just sounds like I'm shitting on your story for the fun of it, so I'm also going to say what I liked about the story! The plot itself was very creative and smart, and I liked how the pasts of Albus and Aladdin intertwined with the present. It was part of what kept me fascinated and made me stick with the story. I also liked how you made the Golden Trio flawed, not like the perfect selves that other authors have deemed them to be. I liked Harry quite a lot, and at some point I just expected him to scream, "I was almost sorted into Slytherin!" As an explanation as to why he was so supportive of Aladdin and the other Slytherins, of course. But it never happened, although one could attribute it to the fact that Harry isn't a judging person. I really don't know what it is about Romana and James, but I have quite the soft spot for them. Their dynamics are really very interesting. I also rather liked the fact that Albus' soul was the son of Gryffindor and Hufflepuff? I don't know if it's just me, but I had never found any story with the exception of this one where the Founders Era was connected to the Next Generation. So, kudos to you for that! This story was like third rom-com, third drama, and third action, and I enjoyed it very much! I think this is one of those stories that I'll be reading over again.

Waaaaaaah I'm happy, cause i think the slytherins really deserve to have a fanfic about them that shows how they trully are (am not even one thou)
but at the same time ... it makes me sad to see that yes ... that's proabbly how gryffondors would be ...
Thank you !
Dabede Dabeda chapter 2 . 5/20/2016
I know you published this fanfic in 2013, but i can't help but react to it, it's just sooooo great ! I mean, the way you portrait the gryffondors is nice, they are not too mean, or anything, they are just ... Kind of stupid ? But i like it, this is a good story so far !
Dabede Dabeda chapter 1 . 5/20/2016

I apologise for my english, since i'm french.
WHATEVER
"Snape" as a password ? I love it. I just like your vision of the post-war slytherin, and it's not all cheezy and stupid, with everybody loving each other. So yeah, it's very much great. I was a little taken aback with the name of your OC, i hope it will be explained soon after !
Olivia0707 chapter 23 . 4/4/2016

Guest chapter 23 . 1/2/2016
Although the whole "powerful people reincarnated" thing is a bit clichéd I think it was quite well written. I also think that you had a good insight as to the worst scenario that could possibly happen after Voldemort's 50 years of influence (although it calmed down between Lily and James's deaths and Harry's first year). The worry and mistrust that everyone (mostly Griffindors) have towards the Slytherins would only intensify and adults would tend towards paranoia through a mass effect, following general opinion. Furthermore, Draco's involvement in the seventh book would prove to most, especially those who suffered, that even the children of Voldemort's supporters are a potential threat.
Most people want to assume that it would all change for the better and the best but I admire your capability to look beyond such wishful thinking.
Your story is an incredible piece of work.
